Yes

You added some projectile or bullet in your game

How does your game implement the theme? (If your game doesn't use the theme ignore this field)
The player can charge a nuke which takes 10 seconds to charge and destroys all enemies on the screen. If the nuke doesn't get triggered by the player within another 10 seconds he is gonna self destruct. After using the nuke it has 10 seconds cooldown.

What was the size of your team?

The idea is very nice, I also implemented in my game an all out powerful attack that obliterates all of the enemies on the screen, but in your game is more like an option if you charge or not which doesn't make any sense to charge the nuke cause you are better off holding the left click in my opinion.

The visuals and audio are your strongest point, but you still lack some little but important things like a feedback when you get hit, also I think the resolution is not set properly because I didn't see any UI like the NUKE charge or the player HP, if I had to guess you ran out of time considering this was submitted 14 min before the jam ended.

Overall this is still a very well polished end-product and quite fun, also HUGE respect for the guy who did the art.

Coherent visuals, there could be more effects (enemy death, player death, nuke explosion).

The nuke is an interesting idea, but it feels a little too passive. What if it charged all the time, but when you don’t shoot it charges faster?

Audio and Visuals look the best and most bullet-helly so far.
Admittedly gameplay was too difficult and unforgiving for me to properly enjoy.

Nice! I found myself not using the nuke because it was hard for me to get it charged but other than that it was funn

Developer

The charging can be a bit tough. With a bit of training you can charge a bit dodge and continue charging :) Awesome that you still had fun :)

Nice work!

The wide screen is an unusual choice for a vertically-scrolling shmup, but I thought it was well justified by the amount of sideways and diagonal shooting from both the player and the enemies. The nuke mechanic is a nice risk-reward mechanic that was fun to use.

I like the art style a lot, especially the HUD at the bottom of the screen.

Developer

I guess it is and happy that you think it worked well ^^ Thank you :)

thank you :)

Really loved the graphics! The game is pretty basic but the nuke thing is really a good idea! Good game!

Developer

Thank you, glad that you liked it :) We had more planned but due illness we sadly had to make cuts gameplay wise.

Awesome entry for the jam! I love the art style and the music. I also like the idea of the nuke, which matches the theme perfectly. Single suggestion I have is to add more SFX to indicate the state of the nuke. Doing all these things at once (dodging, shooting, charging) can get quite hectic and I often lost track of the charging state of the nuke. Other than that, very polished! Almost forgot: I absolutely love that you have a menu, including controls , options and credits! Great job!

Developer

Glad that you liked it :)  Thank you for your suggestion and absolutely I have to agree with you there should be a SFX for this. Can be a bit frustrating I guess.  The menu is definitely helpful. The ability to adjust the audio volume is something I sadly have missed in many other entries. Thank you :)

This is class, dude, this is a proper friggen bullet hell. I love everything. Good pacing, good graphics, fun audio, enemy design is great, movement is fluid and smooth, awesome job, I love it.

The graphics look really cool, I especially like how pretty it gets if you have multiple shot upgrades. The dodging in this game is also really fun, and I like that there's multiple types of enemies with different shooting patterns. The nuke is also a pretty creative concept - at first, I thought I didn't need it, until I started getting swarmed by enemies.

I'd add more visual or audio cues for the nuke. Right now, the only way to tell if your nuke is full or depleting is by looking at the indicator, which is an issue because if I'm looking at the bottom of the screen then I can't see the gazillion bullets I'm trying to dodge. I would also make it so that charging the nuke prevents shooting, but doesn't prevent movement, as 10 seconds is a long time to charge. That way, it turns into a "congrats, you dodged stuff for 10 seconds, now here's your board wipe" button. Finally, I might be wrong on this, but I think some bullets do more damage than others? It's really hard to tell because they all look the same, but I feel like I was getting one-shot by the later enemies.

Overall, very pretty game with fun dodging mechanics. I had fun playing it!

Developer

Glad that you liked it! The nuke definitely helps with "cleaning up" :D

You are right an audio cue probably wouldn't be bad for the nuke charging. You can always stop charging and move instead and start charging again later. As long as you don't let too much time pass you won't loose the nuke charge. Bullet damage should be same for all projectiles, but the later enemies especially the "proximity" ones have very tight fire pattern almost like a shotgun so you might have gotten hit multiple times or perhaps lost health earlier already.

Awesome to hear, thank you for your long feedback :)

Great music and visuals.
A lot of horizontal space makes you have to move back and fourth a lot in the beginning, but it picks up pretty fast from there. I like the difficulty balance.

Developer

Thank you :)

First thing, i liked the artstyle a lot. Reminded me of games from the 90s ( I first thought about Worms 2D series graphics dunno why xD ). The fast-paced song is really fitting the game.
The controls work very well, and the enemy's bullet patterns fit each others, and create a really balanced gameplay. Nothing else to say, this game really fits the definition of bullet hell genre. Well done mate!
