Very cool graphics! I didn't understand I'm suppose to do.....

Liked the paper visuals and with the story I'm guessing it implies that you're in a book.

Was quite weird how some trees dissapeared in the ghost(ethereal?) world, but have no difference in looks(could have dead trees, or rotten).

The combat could be something more than just touch to switch worlds.

Lack of minimap or something guiding me in some places, made me just wander aimlessly.

Liked the idea of changing the ending depending on who you encounter.

Should probably change the gate collision box so you cant just walk past in the corner(unless it implies that you're cowardly and just slip through the bars?)

Could be made into a interesting and unique game if you decided to expand on it.

Liked it nevertheless.

Developer

Thanks for the detailed feedback.

For dead trees : good idea !

Combat was meant to be more challenging but have to skip it by lack of time.

Minimap, why not, or a better level design that guide you hint and unremarkable places you can remember.

Gate stuff, I just realize it with the previous comment...(and it was not meant to) there are already path to avoid some of them made by purpose.

Great feedback, really appreciated.

Looks like a good game, but the first time I completed a deathless run, and the second time I died intentionally and skipped everything I was meant to do or story I was meant to see by clipping through the edge of every gate. And to be honest, I still have no idea who that old man in the ending is.

Anyway, good job with the rest of the game!

Developer

Thanks for playing and feedback.I didn't realize the character could pass through the gate corner. It's not meant to. The first run you do is what we intended to . The second encourages you (but not enough) to die then new path are offered to you to complete the tale by helping people. (look at the trailer/demo video)

Wow this is really great! I love the paper cutout style and it fits the theme so well! It would have been nice if the difficulty was harder so I didn't have to intentionally die the first time to discover the death mechanic. Definitely a great game though, I enjoyed the storytelling :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks you for playing and feedback. Ah, good feedback. The battle mechanism is not how we expect (we were in the rush).

Unite and interesting visuals love them. Btw is there a way to defeat the dragon? Or am I just really bad at this?

Developer(+1)

Thanks you for playing and feedback. Normally, you can't defeat the dragon :).

Developer(+1)

In fact that's not true but you must probably spend your entire life to attack him... ;)

Super cool game!! Love the artstyle, and the different endings are really clever!

Developer(+1)

Thanks you :)

I'm proud to say I never blocked even once :D Also, I'm fine staying here in my pretty paper cutout kingdom, thanks for asking :D
Nice game and fun ending, well done!
Stay funky,

Really good art and creative gameplay. Really well crafted. Some critisism: There's no feedback on damaging enemies, at first I though I can't damage them so it was a bit confusing, but that's the only issue I have.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback. There is a lot things i did not have the time to do...

Honestly I feel bad I don't have much to say because it blew me away! It's amazing, the visuals, sounds, unique gameplay and world. I love it, thank you <3

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing and the kind words, it's really motivating.

Submitted(+1)

I'm glad I can motivate! Keep going!

This game is surprisingly detailed. I love the art style and the music. the swordplay is the best :D

Great job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing. The swordplay is a masterpiece, all the adventure relies on it, so a big attention was put into it :P

I loveddd your game ! i loved the athmosphere and the story, so many details ! the gameplay was fun and it's a great use of the theme (the best i've seen so far?) i think sadly lot of people will miss it, i did my first two tries, but i'm so glad i tried a third, worth it !

Developer(+1)

Thanks you for your kind words, for playing and feedback. I'm happy you enjoyed it.

Hey! The visuals are amazing. And the theme is well used and the game is fun to play. Maybe one detail, when hitting enemies I would appreciate some visual presentation of hitting them. But that's just a detail. Great job!

Developer

Thanks you for playing and feedback. Yes, you are right. :)

I'm glad I was able to bring peace to that poor protector of the dungeon. We all need our rest. Pretty cool use of the topic and I like the hand drawn paper-like aesthetics you went with. At first I was like "What even is the point of a weapon if it does nothing" and then I was like "oh, this is a click and point adventure without the cliking...so an adventure ? :P

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback.
In fact it does kill your enemies in 3 strikes using space or gamepad-a (didn't have time to give user feedback  (T_T)  ), but as you notice it's an small adventure. FYI: The more you help people the more the ending is complete.

i had 3 I believe  :)

then I only missee the old man by the cabin  :)

Wow fun game! I died immediately then just wondered around until I got to the ending. I had a great time doing this because the art style and music created a cool little world to just walk around in. Already thought the game was really good but after reading some of these other comments I am going to go back in and see if I can find everything!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for your feedback. There are several character to encounter to get the complete end...

Submitted(+1)

Absolutely loved the visuals! It might have missed it, but would have appreciated a more in-my-face display of the controls at the start, because I died and scratched my head a couple of times before realising I could use my sword. xD

Developer(+1)

Yes, by lack of time we have to skip "less essential" things (we wrote it in the itchio description as a workaround). Fight system was plan to be more challenging, but was not essential so skip too. This is a simple adventure. The idea is to question what is winning ? Kill everything and rush to the end ?

Amazing and unique art, really interesting mechanic of dying and resurrection.

Developer

Thanks you for playing and feedback. :)

Damn this game is gorgeous. Both visuals and sounds are on point. Also, pretty clever way to make the player go through the game more than once without being repetitive! Really fun idea :D

Developer(+1)

Thanks you for playing and feedback. I'm happy you like it :). Thanks !

This is a amazing idea for implement the topic of the jam. I love the art style , it is very unique and stands out from other games.

In the beginning i just killed everything that stood in my way and i got the worst possible ending. Then i realized that i don't have to kill anything and that i have to be killed to get progress. That was awesome, especially because the world is much bigger than in my first run.

All in all this game is awesome, i had so much fun playing your game. Great work!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing and feedback. It seems you played the game as we hoped to. Thanks again for the kind words.

Submitted(+1)

The visuals are amazing! I love the idea behind it and it works so well.
But I had some difficulties with the gameplay. In the first run I just walked through the forrest, didn't encountered any npc's and just went through the gate. And in the second run I tried to play it a bit more like I thought it was intended to be played. But I never really felt like I needed to change the worlds. For me it would be important to improve the level design. It should be clearer where you can go and where you should go. But the idea itself is pretty cool :)

Developer(+2)

Thanks for playing and for your feedback.  The first run was intended to be short and straight forward and encourage you to appropriate yourself the ending. For the level design I agree, you can be easily lost and there is no clear incitations to die and re-die.

Submitted(+1)

Great game! I love the aesthetic of the game and I think the idea of world walker can be expanded upon to really good game and story!

I didn't have a clear goal in mind when playing, but I didn't really need one. It was appealing to just experience the game.

Well done!

Developer

Thanks you for playing and feedback. I'm glad you appreciate the experience. :)
