Really cute game! 2m47s. But it took me a while to master the pushing thing, also i moved a guardian in the hole and it stayed there XD, but i neede him to shoot me from the other side. Fun game :) !

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback! We didn't managed in time to really reset the enemies, but I'm glad you still had fun! :) And nice time!

Pretty decent game with great idea. If it was longer or had more mechanics or something i dont know it would be cool game. Idea has potential. Art was nicely done. Just one thing that i hate is "DO NOT PUT EVER TIMER ON A GAME WITH THIS MUCH RNG" yeah i tried to be fast and startyed hate game more and more becouse progression is just rng lmao

Developer(+1)

Thank you for your input! We wanted to add a bit more replay value by adding the timer, but I totally get why it didn't worked for you.

Submitted(+2)

Super juicy, I just wish I could control where I fly a bit more. It's kind of confusing to restart in a different place too

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the feedback! That's super helpful!

The pixel art and overall presentation of this game is really great! The idea was pretty creative too, it felt almost like a golf game but you had to rely on enemies blasting you. With that said, I felt like I could barely control the character in this -- I'd line myself up, get launched halfway across the screen and then fall into a pit and get restarted in either a different level or a different part of the level. I think Steeley's suggestion of being able to choose a limited trajectory/power to launch yourself in would do wonders for this game, and perhaps making the beginning levels easier so players can get used to the control scheme.

Great work overall!

Developer(+2)

Thank you so much for the detailed feedback! That helps a lot! I really like the comparison with a golf game. I haven't thought about it that way. But it instantly creates so much helpful input on how to improve the controls! And your suggestions sound super interesting. Thank you :)

the art style and the music is really good! but I couldn't really get core gameplay. A short tutorial explaining the different elements would have been great!

Good job!

Developer(+1)

Agreed! We thought about looping the first level till the player gets the first coin and randomizing afterwards. But undortunatelly we missed to implement it. Thank you for your feedback tho! :)

A very unique and challenging idea, really creative. :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the Feedback :)

I enjoyed the concept and art style. It took a while to load because the game is large but It’s impressive that you made a top-down game in 72 hours! Nice Job!

I would appreciate some feedback as well :D

Developer

Thanks for sticking with  us threw the loading times :) Your Feedback is much appreciated!

Submitted(+2)

really cute game, you might consider not build the game that large, it took up more than my screen and I could not find a way to resize, so I had to play with like a 1/3 of the game missing. but the main character was super cute. :)

Developer

Thank you for the Feedback. May I ask what resolution your screen is? And I guess you're referring to the WebGL build?

Submitted(+1)

I have a 1920 by 1080 monitor. But I stumbled on the page by the random game button and I can't close out that left side panel. Just a smaller buil size with a full screen option would do wonders I think.

Developer(+1)

That's really helpful :) I did not think about that side panel. Full screen should be available though, but the button is probably also out of bounds then. Will fix it asap. Thanks a lot for the reply!

Submitted(+1)

yeah. That was the issue. And np

This was a really cute game, the art style is so pretty, and I love the theme of basically rocket jumping, but not firing the rockets!

I would say that because of that, the rockets can feel super unpredictable. I'm not sure how far I'll go, or what my trajectory will be. As a result I sometimes tried to line myself up perfectly, then either thwack into a wall, overshoot, or just have the bullet spawn beyond me.

It might've been worth freezing time when you're hit, similar to the second Ori game, allowing me to then choose a trajectory between two narrow angles, so I have more time to think. Similarly, applying more friction while the player is over the ground than over a sky tile may have made the jumps more forgiving, without letting me choose my distance.

Developer(+2)

I love the ideas you proposed. Thanks so much for the valuable feedback!! We really appreciate that! :)

Submitted(+2)

I managed to complete it, but it was kind of confusing that when you died you spawned in different places.

The explosions were hard to control as well.

But it was a good game and the graphics are nice. So that's a big plus.

Developer

Glad you enjoyed the game. Thanks for your feedback :)

Submitted(+2)

I love the art! It is not that clear what is happening so maybe a tutorial would be nice

but great overall

Developer(+1)

Agreed the tutorial level is to easy to skip, we wanted to repeat the first level till the player got the first coin, to establish the mechanic, but missed to implement some code right before our upload. Thanks for the feedback :)

Submitted(+2)

Loved it! Lovely art and music and interesting concept.  I liked the pseudo-random respawn, even if it is a bit disorienting at first. I think it fits nicely with the overall atmosphere of the game.

Developer

Thank you :) we're very happy you had fun playing the game!

Submitted(+2)

The art is very nice, but the explosions are rather unpredictable and seemed pretty random, so it was hard to control where you will land.

Developer(+1)

Really appreciate the feedback! That helps a lot!

Submitted(+2)

I was really confues as to what I was supposed to do.  But other than that... Art's great, sound effects are okay, movement is a bit unresponsive

Developer(+1)

The game definitely could've used a better tutorial :D Thank you for your feedback! Much appreciated!

Submitted(+2)

I like this idea! It was a bit hard to tell if I was progressing since I spawned in a different level each time and it took me a bit to figure out what was going on but it felt good once I got it!

And as a side note, a way to trigger enemy attacks would be nice so the player isn't just waiting and hoping that the right enemy hits them first.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the detailed feedback! Triggering the bullets is a nice idea!

I'm glad you had fun playing the game! :)

Submitted(+2)

Glad my feedback was useful!

If you have time, I'd appreciate if you could check out my game :)

Lured in by that wonderful art style. Sadly the online didn't work (the game screen expanded such that it didn't fit on my laptop screen at all) so I had to download it. The gameplay, whilst I loved the idea, felt a bit inconsistent. I got frustrated waiting for bullets, or getting pushed just a bit too far.

Also there seemed to be a bug that meant I would start a new level even if I hadn't got the coin yet, and then also go back to the previous level.

Still though, with that artwork you can do no wrong its wonderful

Developer

I'm glad we were able to lure you in :) The waiting part of the game play did actually concern us as well, but to save ourselves from over-scoping we decided to concentrate on polishing what we already had.

If you are getting pushed to far, you could try maneuvering against the momentum of the impact. Spawning you at a random level (one you have not collected a coin in, yet) is intentional. We wanted to let the player progress through the levels even if they fail to collect the coin.

Thanks a lot for the comprehensive feedback, it's much appreciated :)

Submitted(+2)

Super Cool! this idea is so original and fun! what impresses me is that even tought the movement is bouncy and fast it still feels controlable, I dont know if its intended or not, but when i fall to the sands it sends me to another level, not the one i was in.

Great job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback and the kind words! The falling into different levels was intended, but we wanted to make an exception for the first level, so the player learns what to do. We kinda forgot to include that, because of the upload stress :D

Submitted(+2)

Lovely puzzle that twisted the standard rules. I loves the sound design and th artwork. Great job.

Developer(+2)

Thank you so much! Really appreciate the feedback :)

Submitted(+2)

Wowiiiie! So glad I got to play this! Very well executed visuals and audio making for a strange unique atmosphere!

Developer(+1)

Means a lot coming from you :) Thank you for the feedback!
