I loveddd your game ! i loved the athmosphere and the story, so many details ! the gameplay was fun and it's a great use of the theme (the best i've seen so far?) i think sadly lot of people will miss it, i did my first two tries, but i'm so glad i tried a third, worth it !

Developer(+1)

Thanks you for your kind words, for playing and feedback. I'm happy you enjoyed it.

Hey! The visuals are amazing. And the theme is well used and the game is fun to play. Maybe one detail, when hitting enemies I would appreciate some visual presentation of hitting them. But that's just a detail. Great job!

Developer

Thanks you for playing and feedback. Yes, you are right. :)

I'm glad I was able to bring peace to that poor protector of the dungeon. We all need our rest. Pretty cool use of the topic and I like the hand drawn paper-like aesthetics you went with. At first I was like "What even is the point of a weapon if it does nothing" and then I was like "oh, this is a click and point adventure without the cliking...so an adventure ? :P

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback.
In fact it does kill your enemies in 3 strikes using space or gamepad-a (didn't have time to give user feedback  (T_T)  ), but as you notice it's an small adventure. FYI: The more you help people the more the ending is complete.

i had 3 I believe  :)

Developer

This is the complete ending scene !

then I only missee the old man by the cabin  :)

Wow fun game! I died immediately then just wondered around until I got to the ending. I had a great time doing this because the art style and music created a cool little world to just walk around in. Already thought the game was really good but after reading some of these other comments I am going to go back in and see if I can find everything!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for your feedback. There are several character to encounter to get the complete end...

Submitted(+1)

Absolutely loved the visuals! It might have missed it, but would have appreciated a more in-my-face display of the controls at the start, because I died and scratched my head a couple of times before realising I could use my sword. xD

Developer(+1)

Yes, by lack of time we have to skip "less essential" things (we wrote it in the itchio description as a workaround). Fight system was plan to be more challenging, but was not essential so skip too. This is a simple adventure. The idea is to question what is winning ? Kill everything and rush to the end ?

Amazing and unique art, really interesting mechanic of dying and resurrection.

Developer

Thanks you for playing and feedback. :)

Damn this game is gorgeous. Both visuals and sounds are on point. Also, pretty clever way to make the player go through the game more than once without being repetitive! Really fun idea :D

Developer(+1)

Thanks you for playing and feedback. I'm happy you like it :). Thanks !

This is a amazing idea for implement the topic of the jam. I love the art style , it is very unique and stands out from other games.

In the beginning i just killed everything that stood in my way and i got the worst possible ending. Then i realized that i don't have to kill anything and that i have to be killed to get progress. That was awesome, especially because the world is much bigger than in my first run.

All in all this game is awesome, i had so much fun playing your game. Great work!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing and feedback. It seems you played the game as we hoped to. Thanks again for the kind words.

The visuals are amazing! I love the idea behind it and it works so well.
But I had some difficulties with the gameplay. In the first run I just walked through the forrest, didn't encountered any npc's and just went through the gate. And in the second run I tried to play it a bit more like I thought it was intended to be played. But I never really felt like I needed to change the worlds. For me it would be important to improve the level design. It should be clearer where you can go and where you should go. But the idea itself is pretty cool :)

Developer(+2)

Thanks for playing and for your feedback.  The first run was intended to be short and straight forward and encourage you to appropriate yourself the ending. For the level design I agree, you can be easily lost and there is no clear incitations to die and re-die.

Submitted(+1)

Great game! I love the aesthetic of the game and I think the idea of world walker can be expanded upon to really good game and story!

I didn't have a clear goal in mind when playing, but I didn't really need one. It was appealing to just experience the game.

Well done!

Developer

Thanks you for playing and feedback. I'm glad you appreciate the experience. :)

One of the best games i played in this jam, very good visuals.

Developer

Thanks a lot for playing and feedback. I'm happy you like it :)

Submitted(+1)

This is the best submission I have played so far. Awesome visuals btw. The first run was not so great for me, but when I discovered all the possibilities during the second run WOW * - *.

Maybe it helps the player when you kill him in the Beginning at least once ;).

Amazing game, you should keep working on this.

One more thing: Maybe you could add a animation and a sound to the enemys that get hit, just to give the player some feedback on if he hit the enemy or not :D.

Developer(+2)

Thanks for the kind words. The version you played has bugs (I was in a real rush). You had to have different endings depending on your progress. And that was one of the facets of "let's mess with the concept of winning and losing". So I publish a second version with the same content but without critical bugs (WebGL is fixed too). Glad to see you persevered anyway.

DUUUUUDE! this was siick! I really liked the concept! The real game doesnt start until after you die, I had to play the game multiple times to see everything!

The art is super charming, even the web page  is incredibly stylized! Amazing work!

Please consider playing and rating my game if you can :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks you for playing and feedback ! I'm very happy you discovered all the parts of the game. Thanks you so much. (Yes, I will test you game :) )

Submitted(+1)

Visually its got a great style, but as for the gameplay I just kept walking forward and eventually the game ended. I feel like I may have missed out on what I as actually supposed to be doing...

Developer

Thanks you for playing and feedback.  We want to let the gamer choose his own path between the 3 we wrote. Maybe more paths were created in the same time.  Normally you had to meet 4persons minimum. Do you ?

Submitted(+1)

one man grunted at me, then met the dragon. i guess i should try this again

Submitted(+1)

I really liked the style of the game. I tried to go without dying so it was nice to see there was more to it when I died. There's one thing that you did, I had also done in the past, that is to only place instructions on the description. Particularly I tend to test a game just by playing and try to undestand by myself, so I tried every button, mouse click etc.. to activate the shield (Obviously I forgot about shift lol.). There's some bugs that should be easy to fix, give damage feedback, but with the time we got it was pretty good.

Developer

Thanks you for playing and feedback ! Yes we definitly ran of time ><'.  (The controls had to be introduce at first time)  This game need more polish and finition.

Submitted(+1)

Solid presentation! Gameplay itself is not challenging, it seems that enemies run on a fixed loop so there's no challenge there or consequence to dying though.

Developer

Thanks you for playing and feedback. It's not the challenge of not diying we would explore but the systeme of diying to progress and not killing people.  Depending on the number of people helped, the ending is not the same.

Submitted(+1)

Very impressed with the presentation!

When I died to change worlds, I felt not like I "failed so I progress", but I felt simply "I progressed". So it was not so strong on the theme for me.

I think I hit a bug. The armoured knight very near the start missed me with his sword, then he wouldn't swing it again... so I could not die :(

Developer

Thanks for playing and your feedback. I notice the bug i didn t notice it. :)

Submitted(+1)

Hey I played your Game and I'm stunned by the visuals, really cool effect, have to try that out once

Developer

Thanks you so much. Yes, you have to try, it really simple to have some results :)

Submitted(+1)

The play button didn't work for me either and pressing any keys didn't help either, but the main menu looked really good and I also like the music, maybe you could export the game for WebGL, that would make it even easier to play. But as I said, the main menu looked very good. xD

Developer(+1)

Damned. I can't reproduce it. Thanks for the feedback I will definitively check the problem.

Developer(+1)

I follow your advice and made a WebGL export. (I also fix this damned issue for windows !)

(+1)

uhhh... The play button doesn't work...

Developer(+1)

I was wrong. I fell in the trap of "not on my computer". I fix the bug and made a Windows and WebGL export. You can give it a second try if you want.
