Cool idea, I don't know if I quite understood the story though. The gameplay was fun though and I think with some more developing it could be really good. Reminds me of the Undyne fight from Undertale!

Submitted(+1)

A fairly simple idea, but it works pretty well, especially after playing a bunch of games where I was the one moving and the things I had to collect didn't move. I particularly like that the things you're trying to avoid are the same as the things you're trying to pick up. And the art looks great and really fits the game: a simple colour palette on a simple game, but the art still looks interesting.

(I think this is the fourth game in this jam where I have to pick up moving things while they're on screen, and compared to those, I think this one has the best or second-best art)

Some music (either some electronic music for the alien aesthetic or some more traditional music that changes depending on which kinds of things the humans are throwing at you) could have made it even better. It seems not every collectable makes the same sound when picked up, so it seems there was some thought put into sound.

After playing for a while, I got back to the main menu (nice that I can get back to that without having to reload the game) and saw the credits screen. The first page maybe shouldn't have had a left arrow to go to the non-existant previous page, and the second page shouldn't have had a right arrow to the "next page", but I don't really think that matters in a game made in a week. Good job!

Thank you for the feedback!!

It is really good to hear that you liked!

Some adjusts will be make when the jam ends to make the game better and better.

Thank you!!

I liked your game. Especially the Art and Animations were great :-)
Overall the game seemed good polished and played out very nice.
Though the last 'waves' on each level take a bit long as only few 'enemies' throw the Science Projectiles.
But all in all great submission.

Developer

Yeah, I’m working in the waves right now. it is something that was annoying me during the jam but I didn’t had time to make it better.

Thank you for the feedback!

Interesting take on the theme. Dodgeing multiple projectiles at once is suprisingly possible, and the game is kind of a mixture between tension and chilly moments due to the way you spawn projectiles. Keep it up!

BTW If you could try out my game as well, that would be awsome.

This game is simple, but actually a lot of fun.  The throwing arm animation is super cute and had me cracking up.  The only thing is once you get the enemies down to 2 left it would be nice if that phase took less hits to kill them because the challenge is less and it will take longer to hit them because they are shooting less.  Awesome job!

It was a nice, simple game, I disagree that it needs polishing,. I found it very polished, music should be a bit louder or sfx more quiet.

Submitted(+1)

Good concept, but needs to get way more polished, the sounds killed it for me, it's way to loud, had to mute my web to play it, but it has a nice concept that with some more work can be great, but yeah, cool little game.

Developer

I’m sorry to hear it.

I choose to put the sounds louder because i didn’t have time to put the settings menu together… I thought in the worse case people could turn down the volume (like you did). Because some of the people that play tested during the development told me that the sounds were to low

Good game, i thougth you will be able to fire back. I didnt quite understand what the science indicator was. Good implementation of the limitation

A lovely game.  I really enjoyed the art and the color palette selection - beautiful and clean!  The controls were smooth and enjoyable.  I giggled at the corn projectiles :)  You also had a really great menu page set up.

My addition suggestions:
- It was a little confusing to tell the difference between experiment resource collection versus enemy kill ratio.  I think it might be more satisfying to add something where you could shoot the enemies after you've collected a certain amount of resources?  Or maybe a laser that gets charged as you collect and you can shoot it once then let it recharge again?
- It might be fun to add something where you can take the resources you collect and actually do experiments with them.  Maybe you could use the end product of your experiments to upgrade your ship?  Not sure if that's what you're going for, but its a thought!

All in all excited to see the other levels.  Awesome job!

Het great job on making and finishing this game. I really loved the graphics and the color palette and the overall look of the game. It was a little confusing at first because I did not get what I was supposed to do and how to win. But I spent some time with it and It was a pretty fun reaction based game which was pretty cool. Keep up the great work!!!

Developer

Thank you! I had the intention of making a tutorial, but didn't had time for that...
