In what way does your game fit the theme?
It is a BoxPusher puzzle game where you can rewind moves.

Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
EVERYTHING

EDIT: Well... this is awkward, we realized there was a bug in this version that at level 12 player couldnt move anymore and stopped the gameplay to go any further, here's the fixed version so you can play it fully. We couldn't update this page due to the gamejam's time restrictions . Thanks!

Cool puzzle game with an excellent vibe! Here's my feedback:

Great!

  • The art style and the colors are awesome!
  • The rewind effects are done very well. The color shifting makes it come alive.
  • The music is sweet, it's a mix of great beats and eerie sounds.
  • All of the levels were interesting to solve and kept increasing steadily in difficulty.

Can be improved

  • There wasn't a button prompt for progressing dialogue and space worked at the beginning. Once I started taking the rewind pills though, pressing space not only advances the dialogue, but also makes the character take a pill. I later discovered I could press W on my keyboard (AZERTY) to advance the dialogue without taking a pill. It might be best to ignore the Space input for the pill if there's a dialog box open.
  •  The controls seem to be oversensitive. I had to carefully use the arrow keys one push at a time in order to move where I wanted. Maybe snap the character to each tile and wait a little while before letting him move further when a key is being held down?

I think I saw an easter egg when I switched to fullscreen, the text read "Elo: Cuando se acaba este sufrimiento llamado gamejam". I translated it and it said "Elo: When this suffering called gamejam ends".  You guys did great though! :D

In a nutshell, great game that deserves a full release IMHO. Well done!

This is an excellent game, Incredible Job. Love the puzzles, graphics, audio and all. the only issue i have is that when you press e/space to get rid of the chat box, it also uses a pill. but i guess there is z for not using the pill (although it becomes confusing).

You did an amazing job with this. great work :D

Developer

yes ure right im also aware of this bug but i didnt have time to fix it so i quick fix it by adding the z key haha, thanks for the feedback ññ

I like the art style. and the portrait of the game. the puzzle and the quaratine think was fun and funny. Pass level three or four i think. i get stuck and i am not sure what to do. I dont know if that is done on purpose but aside from r and the controls, i dont know what to do, to try to solve the puzzle pass level 3 or 4.  also the text is to big for the screen pass level 1 or 2. like i cant read the text anymore.

Here are some hints: at level 3 u have to start on the top, and at 4 u gotta move the first guy top the op or the bottom before entering the room :-) and the thing about the size it is maybe due to your screen resolution u could maybe download the window version ññ

Developer(+1)

ive made the game to open on a new tab so the resolution problem might be fixed now, thanks for the feedback tho

Fantastic job on your first game! Puzzles were good and I the artstyle was very unique and cute. In my opinion the movement needs some work, sometimes it felt really unresponsive. But that didnt take away from my experience, I had a really fun time playing this. So overall, great job and great entry! :D

Developer

thanks!!! yes i also noticed that about the movement controls it is something i have to work on, im glad u enjoyed it ññ

Back when I was a teenager that dreamed of being able to make games,  there was a home brew kit for the PS1 called the Yaroze it was expensive and mostly aimed at the burgeoning indie scene, any way each month on a PS1 magazine there was a Demo disc with a Yaroze game and there was one like this I cant remember its name but you brought me back to that time, thank you. :)
really great

Developer

im so glad ure telling me this,  when i was a kid i would play games on my ps1 all day although i never heard about the ps1 magazine or the Yaroze games i find a lot of inspiration on that aesthetic, thank you for playing our game ññ

This was a Home Brew Yaroze game that got a commercial release, which at the time was unheard of from some dude making games in their bedroom:

Really liked this game! The animations are few but incredible, and the music is awesome too. I also liked the puzzles built around the mechanic and the way rewinding is introduced, nothing bad to say!

Top entry in my opinion, good job! Would appreciate if you took a moment to rate my game :)

Developer

im so grateful for ur comment,  glad u liked and appreciate our game. for sure i will check out ur submission.  thanks!!

The puzzles in this are well designed and you factored in the "Rewind" concept quite nicely. The music and art art pretty good, and the little dialogue titbits add quite a lot to the game's feel.

Nice job guys.

Aw, such a pity your submission got deleted. But I did try your “Re-submitted” version, and I really liked it. Great job!

the game is great :) i really love the idea of making a party as a puzzle.

feedback:

a lot of times i was "overshooting", meaning i meant to move 1 step but moved more, i think its to sensitive, maybe consider making the movement with key pressed down.

i couldnt solve one stage, if i knew what level it was i would tell you, it had 3 npcs and 3 chairs.

i felt like i tried every possible way to solve but couldnt figure it out :) so maybe its just me but ye... so add a "current level" display

anyways great entry friend!

Good luck!

yes many people got stuck on that one, u had to star by the ones at the sides and move the midone to the right.
the movement is still kinda weird i wanted to get it better but didnt had time, and it makes alot of sense to add the current level text  somewhere, defenitively we will be fixing those issues for a post-jam verison. thank you for taking the time to play our game and give us this feedback!

Nice game that does his job. Sometimes, when the level restard, I couldnt grab the pills, then I had to restart again. The game has a good art and the mechanics work nicely. The colours are very pretty too.  Good work!

If you like, please try our game too!

Bright and colorful graphics along with a very interesting mechanic where you "reverse" movements of people by taking drugs. Nice job!

Great aesthetics.  The puzzles are interesting and the use of the rewind works well.  Good job!
