In what way does your game fit the theme?
Ninja has a magical knife. Objects hit by it can go back in time.

Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
I did make all the assets and scripts from scratch except some of the sound effects.

The use of the ninja concept was great! Cool approach in the theme. With more levels, the game would be even better! Hope you continue to work in this and improve the visuals.

Great job!

Lovley concept! Simple rules but endless possiblities! I can see a lot of complicated puzzels done with this. Maybe a small indicator where I am aiming at the movment would be awesome.

Great submission! Well done!

As a fellow ninja game maker I must say this is a great game :) I really like the mechanic and it was a lot of fun to play!

This game is cool! Although I was confused as to which OS I had to use to play the game cuz it was listed as all 3. The game I liked pretty much from graphics to physics and the entirety of the design!

Nice one! Wish there was more! I was just getting into it!

Things I particularly liked:

>The concept: Very cool concept to selectively rewind objects; I wish there were a few more levels to try out the mechanics in more creative ways :)

>Fit the theme perfectly :)

>Graphics and sound effects fit nicely with the game :)

Things to improve upon:

>More levels :) Haha, this is a good thing if I'm wanting more :P  But yeah, it felt like I'd just gotten through the tutorial when the game ended; left me keen for more ;)

>Aiming: I think it might be easier if you made aiming done with a mouse (or analog stick for controller). I also found a very minor bug (on the second level) where it wasn't letting me aim up-left or down-left; it wasn't necessary for that level, but just FYI.

>Try to make it so levels can always be completed without restarting the level. E.g. in the second level I immediately went and pulled the lever to see what it would do. I then threw the knife at the box and tried rewinding it and it did nothing. So I got confused and tried pulling the lever again to bring the box up again but it didn't move. I then looked at the hint and restarted the level; but I think it would have been better if I could have completed the level without restarting (i.e. if i could have pulled the lever to bring the box back up to where it started then i wouldn't have needed to restart).

>Maybe keep the controls listed in the UI somewhere so i could easily remember that Q = throw, R = rewind, T = super rewind, N = restart level, H = hint etc. only a minor thing, but would help, especially if you end up introducing more actions to it.

Overall I really liked it! Just wish there was more :) again, that's a good thing :)

Thanx for playing and thanx for such a helpful feedback.

Very useful advice. I specially like the 'Aiming with mouse suggestion'. Damn why did i not think of it before :D

The idea is very original and really fun to play with. You had a great idea and executed it very well. There are some bugs that, if fixed, would make my experience much better. And the super rewind mechanic needs a few adjustments(I got stuck at the first level with the mechanic), I knew it what to do but I couldn't make it because idk the box not always got the enough momentum.

Anyway, you did a nice game with nice graphics and a really good mechanic, puzzles are well made too but I guess it needs more polish to make a even better game! Nice job.

Hey, check my game too, the rewinding mechanic is very similar!

Developer

Thanx for playing :D

I'm planning on removing the T mechanic as its quite hard to execute for a lot of players, or may be I can make an easier puzzle with it.

Thanks for your feedback, I playing yours right now :D

Yeah, I'd probably agree, if you decide to further work on this game I'd recommend removing the T mechanic. I think this has potential to be a really good puzzle game, but I think for most puzzle games you should try to limit any sort of dexterity required (because people want to solve the puzzle, not have to worry about timing their actions once they know how the puzzle is solved).

I liked the game design as well as the mechanics you used. It's a cool idea that you can rewind objects but I don't really get the rewind with T and im stuck in Level 5 I think becaus eit doesn't work for me as it's described in the hint. I stop pressing T when the box is going up but it's only jumping left.  Or maybe I'm just really bad at playing, I don't know :)

Developer

Thanks for playing my game :D

The thing about T rewind is the more speed object has when the button is released the more speed the object will gain. The player has to utilize this speed to get up. However I am finding out that its quite difficult for lot of people because it is at maximum speed when its just about near the ground. That makes it a mechanic requiring sharp reflexes. Honestly I am thinking of removing that mechanic and just keeping rewind mechanic in the post game-jam version.

Again, thanks for playing and for the feedback!

Good Game, I like the idea that you rewind time with your knife! Very original! A simple puzzle game which still makes you think!

I like the sound effects as well.

Well done on completing the JAM!

Good execution on the rewind idea. Puzzles were very straight forward, one or two larger levels in the end where the player might need to combine the normal rewind and the super rewind could tie it all together. Great job though!

Developer

Great suggestion. Thanx for playing :D

This is really clever :) The rewind function is really well implemented, and the super rewind is a pretty cool spin on it too. No bugs either.

The only real downside is that the ninja didn't have a headband that says "ninja" on it. But that's pretty minor.

Well done!

Developer

LOL, i,ll add head band in the post game version, thanks for the suggestion :D

Interesting mechanic! I got stuck on that one part teaching you momentum. Couldn't get it to work the way I thought it should, but nevertheless, it was a pretty fun and interesting game. Good relaxing audio and graphics. Loved the use of the magical dagger floating around the ninja and how it interacts with the objects. Very unique, rated! Congrats on the jam!

Nice game.  the graphics were really clean. One thing is that the game is a bit too fast to my taste, but good anyways.

I really liked the core mechanic. The super rewind (I already forgot it's name haha) felt a bit clunky at first, but you get used to it really quick. However, the game was a little too short. I can understand that, since there's a time limit, but even if there weren't that many levels, they all were amazing. Also, aiming was interesting but there weren't levels where it would be used.

Despite all that, it was really good, I enjoyed it a lot. Great job!

Thanks for your feed back, it was very helpful , Im playing yours right now :)

well-designed puzzle game.  graphics are pretty good, sounds are meh they are okay. level designs are clever. rewinding is a little bit weird.

good job!
