Ranked from 103 ratings. Score is adjusted from raw score by the median number of ratings per game in the jam.

In what way does your game fit the theme?
We interpreted the theme as two words: Re & Wind. It’s the task of the player to repeatedly use wind and control the wind to manipulate the sailboat race to ensure that order is kept.

Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
All code and visual assets were made by the team. The only assets that were not made by the team were ambience sound effects by Gamemaster Audio & Imphenzia.com, and the Soundtrack “Beauty for Sale” by Streambeats.com.

I hope you will have a lot of visibility, nice concept and perfect execution, everything is extremly polish and there is a real nice feeling and alchemy between each part of your game. As far the best game I had to test, Well done !

Developer

That's very kind of you, thanks! :)

Beautiful game, very polished. And the idea is fun and original.

Developer

Thanks 😊

I love this game. This seems not to be a game made for a game jam. Very well done to your team ;) I can suppose it's not the first time you work together. Nice VFX, SFX, the gameplay is fun, the controls are simple, good job and good luck! finally I'd loved if you rate my game and leave some feedback too :D Thanks.

Developer

thank you for the kind words. It’s actually the first time we did a jam together, but it helps when you team up with 3 other superstars :)

Developer

Thank you for the really nice comment and for playing the game! 😊 It was our first game jam working as team and first time working together with Dutch Dad and Xeethrax! Both were really experienced game devs too and we've known them for a bit of time, so it was a lot of fun to work on a game jam game together! 😊

Awesome game!! I loved it, the music, the chilling atmosphere it has, the sound effects, the game idea, the graphics and the game itself built around the concept. Everything feels just awesome!

Only thing I can say is maybe not let the camera move further than it should, as now you can forget about the race and go see the ocean, but I mean not a big thing at all.

Again, really good entry, definitely a top rating for me. Good job!

I would highly appreciate if you could check out my game too and leave a rating :)

Thank you for nice comment and for the great feedback 😊 We shall definitely look into improving the camera if we continue with the game, as we have a lot of feedback on it, so thank you for the awesome feedback and so glad that you enjoyed the game 😊

Wow! this game was really polished and the graphics and sound were all great. Really liked that it had a tutorial on how to play and my favorite part of all were the voiceovers. Had a fun time playing this!

Developer

Thank you for the nice feedback :) Glad you liked it

Somehow I stumbled across your YouTube devlog, and came here. Really a great job with both the devolg and the game! The voice overs are pretty cool too!

Developer

The power of YT :)

glad you liked it!

Developer

Thank you so much for playing and watching the Youtube Devlog too! 😊 So glad you enjoyed the game! 😊

Very nice and unique take on the theme! I like the deceptively simple goal and that the wind can be contained within a small area rather than affecting the entire game. I also like how you are not racing at all but rather ensuring the boats finish in the right order. 5 stars on innovation alone! No joke. Really enjoyed that.

I would recommend a different angle on the camera. Maybe give me 3 options to cycle through. The current one, a 45-60 degree one, and a top down view because the camera is at an odd angle making it harder for me to get a good sense of where I was placing the wind.

Developer

Thank you so much for the nice comment and for the great feedback! 😊 We wanted to do a lot more with the camera but didn't have time for it, so will have to add that in next time 😊

Cool game. Art , music and sound effects are great.  (I like the voices at the end of the race)

Really  good job for only one week.

If you wanna rate my game is https://misterm.itch.io/mixtape-match , Thanks

Really cool and really beautiful game! The art, effects, sounds and voice acting make this game really satisfying to play and complements the game with the simple but fun main mechanic. Cool!

Thank you so much 😊 So glad to hear you enjoyed the game!

Finally got to play this game (thank you internet!) Such a beautiful little game. Loved the peaceful music, very relaxing. Moving the camera was easy and the level as a whole is just expertly designed. At one point the little numbers were no longer above the boats properly so I had a hard time locating my little boaties.. but I think maybe they just got blown by the tornado to hard.

Really well done, such a polished game! Oh and the leaderboard/ranking at the end was absolutely gorgeous! Congrats guys :D

Thank you so much for playing and for the really sweet comment, Julia! 😊 So glad to hear you liked the game (and that your internet let you play it too). Thanks for the feedback on the numbers on the boats, not sure if that's a bug but will have to look into it 😊

This would have been a really big effort by the team!

The presentation of this game was very good and the main mechanic (in particular its implementation) was really good too.

I found it a little difficult to get a hang of the game (I never really did) but the controlling the wind felt really good.

While I did like the aesthetic of this game I also found it difficult to follow the action a little. I think it would help if the camera was locked (perhaps in a top down view) and the player didn't have to control the movement or zoom of the camera. Keeping these elements simple would have made it easier to focus on the main task at hand that is controlling the wind.

Great work by your team!

Developer(+1)

Hi Ronnie,

if you click one of the flags in the left live tracker, the camera will follow that boat until you manually take control again, maybe that helps :)

Submitted(+3)

That would definitely help. I would still like a more simplified camera personally.

Again, great work by your team. I can see a lot of effort was put into this.

Developer

Thank you for the nice comment and great feedback! 😊 Really nice to hear about your experience and how we could improve the game in the future. :) We did originally want to make more changes to the camera to allow rotation, but with all the action going on, a fixed camera didn't seem to work out when we tried it. The "Live tracker" on the left of the screen allowed you to follow one of the boats at a time, when clicked, but we might not have communicated that well enough in the tutorial itself.

This game is extremely good looking and well polished. There weren’t any apparent bugs during my playthrough and the graphics and audio quips brought the whole thing together extremely well. If this game continues development the biggest thing I would expect is more maps and gamemodes. This was by far the most unique game made for the jam that I’ve played so far!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the kind words. We are thinking about maybe making mobile versions of the game; that would include more of the things mentioned :)

Submitted(+3)

This is a really cool take on the rewind concept :D The whole idea is pretty clever with using wind to control the race. The audio, graphics, effects, controls and everything are great too and it all fits together really well. Definitely one of the most unique concepts and best done executions I've seen so far :)

Developer(+1)

thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed the game :)

Nice low poly aesthetics and atmosphere setting. Love the cute sound effects and the addition of an announcer. The game reminds me of my childhood where you play with paper boats on a stream of water during the rainy seasons. Thank you for the experience. Great work guys!

Awww, you're welcome :)
