You tackled a lot of game mechanics for 48 hours! Very impressive! Overall I thought your game was quite charming! The UI was a little confusing in some spots, but certainly not a deal breaker. For a game jam you should be really proud of everything you fit into your game!

Developer

Wow, thank you for the kind words and for taking the time to play and rate!

Haha fun and funny. I wish I had a way to sell the stamps in bulk but otherwise no complaints haha

Developer(+1)

There is a way , you can press the amount label above the shop section to buy 1/5/10/50/100 stamps at a time.

I did some very bad UI/UX design so I think most players missed it.

Thanks for taking the time to play!

Hey, bad UI/UX is basically a given in any jam. My own game had some miscommunication problems as well haha!

Concept is cool, the audio (voices!) is great.

However, all I did is click at random at some stuff and then laughed out load when AI took over the world.

Cheers to you and our new machine overlords!

Developer(+1)

Unfortunately you are right,

I made the mistake of trying to make a resource management game in 48 hours and the balancing and pace is completely off, all that is left is some hopefully funny jokes.

Thank you for taking the time playing and reviewing!

Is this inspired by Computerphile by chance?  That was where I first heard the thought experiment of the AI stamp collector.  Nicely done!

Developer(+1)

I do watch a lot of computerphile but I heard this experiment somewhere else.

The game itself what heavily inspired by "Universal Paper clip" which also uses the premise of this thought experiment.

Thank you for the review, appreciate it!

Surprisingly really fun for a relatively simple concept, although for the life of me I can't figure out how to win

Developer(+1)

neither do I :-)

Thanks for taking the time and playing!

While there is a very specific combination that allows earning a million in time it is super specific and its in the realm of bad balance and design.

And again thank you for your input!

Pretty funny game :)

Agree with woeishun that the final upgrade ending the game was a bit too sudden.

Developer

I also 100% agree, this and the auto selling of stamps was a design mistake.

Thank you for taking the time and rating!

Really fun and funny game! However, there are a few minor issues. It would be nice if an indicator that the next upgrade will cause you to lose, and also auto-selling of stamps. Would also be great to have a buy/sell max option.

Developer

Thank you for the input.

I totally agree, the end due to AI taking over the world is way way to sudden. I initially thought it would be nice because it fits the theme of losing control but it ended up taking away from the experience.

Thank you again for taking the time, playing and reviewing!

Making a million dollar selling stamps sure is a game jam thing ^^

Developer

Totally, also goes to show how much the average indie gamedev understands economics :-)

Very nice management game! I think it's really original, it does not feel at all like the AI is doing random stuff. The visuals are very cute and I'm impressed you took time to make a menu and all. Really good game it was fun playing it. Keep creating games!

Developer

Thank you for the kind words!

Pretty cute game! I like the aesthetics of it the most.

Developer

Thank you so much!

I liked it, really reminded me of this old game where you slowly take over the world as an AI. Forget the name. Regardless, I don't know if it's in the game but I tried playing it multiple times and it doesn't seem like your specialization matters in the end. Also the cost reduction stuff is so broken i love it

Developer

I think you are referring to the game "Universal paper clip" which was 100% an influence for this game.

You are right the specialization doesn't really matter, I was able to beat the game after many many tries with a very specific combination.

There is probably hours upon hours of balancing needed for this game to be challenging but in a good way.

In any case thank you so much for you review!

This was an interesting game. I think it would look good in 3D, maybe even VR!

I liked the premise, and it fit the theme well.

I think you could add some autonomy to the machine, and let it slowly destroy the world without supervision.

I was also wondering if there was a reason for the stamps not auto selling, ( I don't think my poor mouse can take much more)

Overall, it was a fun concept, and definitely could be expanded into a really cool experience.

It would be great if you could take a look at my game! (:

Thank you so much for the feedback.

Auto selling the stamps is such a smart move, I added a way to batch sale (1, 5, 10, 50, 100) at a time but auto selling is a much better solution. I guess it was one of those initial design decision I made, got used to and never thought about how annoying it is.

Again thank you and if i'll ever get to revision the game this would probably be my first fix.
