Good job! Wonder what this would be like if you got points for mowing the lawn? 👍

I like the idea of dashing when you run out of blades, cool idea, but could have some background music :D

I really really liked this. A top down shooter is a classic game jam idea, but having it so you can only control some axes of movement and CAN'T control the angle you're shooting is a wonderful twist. I especially like the combo system you have, it makes it REALLY satisfying to let the enemies build up so you can get them all at once. And of course that's always the death of me, letting too many on the screen at once. Great risk / reward system. All in all I really enjoyed the game, I think your execution is near flawless. If I had to change one thing it seems like enemies have a tendency to spawn behind you pretty quick? That might just be a result in me getting greedy with letting the enemies build on the screen though. Sometimes it seems like you do get trapped with no way out though, so maybe adding another AOE ability to get out of those situations but put it on a very slow cooldown or something like that. Overall fantastic job!

Very nice idea. It felt super satisfying to kite a load of enemies, then spin around and fire a blade at them all for a big combo. I found the forward dash quite a difficult mechanic to use because it was difficult to glance at the meter on the side of the screen during gameplay to determine when it was going to happen. Perhaps an indicator on the lawnmower sprite, showing that your next action will be a dash, would solve this. I also found it quite difficult because it's so zoomed in, so there were a lot of deaths that felt unavoidable. Overall though, a very nice arcade game.

Great concept. Having control over movement, but not aiming, was fun. It took me some time to figure out why I sometimes moved forward, but when I did, it was a fun mechanic to play with. Well done.

This is exactly how I mow the lawn irl.

Just as someone else said, the mower felt simultaneously under control and out of control in a clever way.

The only criticism I can come up with right now is that I kept mixing up which diagonal direction my inputs would take me in, but that's more of a me problem, and it fits the out of control theme, so idk.

Great work! =)

That's a surprisingly interesting combination of having control but also not really, haha. I liked it! ^^
