How does your game fit the theme?
As time progresses, your ability to maintain this ship slips further and further out of control. Machines are dependent on one another, so as things break, other things break faster.

Did your team create the art for this game during the 48 hour time slot?

Yes

We created all art during the game jam

Did your team create the audio for this game during the 48 hour time slot?

There's so much here to keep track of, it feels a little overwhelming to me >.<
I managed to figure some stuff out, but I'm not quite sure when to let the passengers go...

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing our game! Yeah, I wish we had had a little more time to implement a better tutorial. Basically, the ship's power bar (on the left) is based on Thrust (how many working machines you have) and weight (how many passengers you have) - so if your power starts dropping too quickly, you can eject some passengers to buy yourself some time!

Amazing art. I would like to see the breakdown mechanics more tied to player actions and less random, so it felt like there was at least a change I could get things under control. Good job!

Developer(+2)

Thank you! We need to do a better job of showing it in-game, but the Big Machines (not the pipes) actually do affect each other - they rely on one another to work: so when one breaks down, the machines downstream from it break faster. They're linked by colored pipes which kind of shows the relationship, but it's definitely not super clear right now. Thanks for the feedback!

Quite a bit to attend to in this game in such short space and time but I enjoyed playing it! An original take on the theme as well. Great art and music, just perhaps more sound effects and a tutorial would've been good. Great job!

Developer(+2)

Thank you! Both of those things are expected to be added after voting for the jam closes. Thanks for the feedback!

Stressful... in a good way

Could have done with some sound queues.

Can imagine the chaos would be even better with multiplayer.

Developer(+1)

Thanks! We actually had sound effects all ready to go, but we didn't get that version of the build up in time. We'll be updating next week after the voting closes, so feel free to check it out again then!

You're right - multiplayer would ramp the intensity up even more. Good idea!

Really fun and frantic, having multiple tools for fixing while keeping an eye put for what else could go wrong, really emphasizes that the Spaces bus is out of control :D

Submitted(+2)

Fun, I definitely got the Out of control feeling.

I satisfied 102 passenger.

The game was a bit daunting, it took me a few tries to understand what I was suppose to do, but tutorial are hard to make in jam.

The visuals are nice too!

This game is pretty cool! i really enjoyed it, i really felt out of control so it perfectly fits the theme! also the pixel art is Amazing, please keep working on it even after the jam! please check out my game too :D

A little confusing at first. The graphics and the music is good. Great game!

Nice game, it's pretty well finished. At first it was confussing, but once I understood I really liked the idea, so a little in-game tutorial would be nice. Also, it becomes difficult really quickly, I think a somewhat slower pace would be better. Oh, and the duck tape mechanic was a great idea, really useful!

Great game overall. Just like MonsieurPazur said  coop would be  a good idea.

Submitted(+2)

That was fun. Situation gets chaotic pretty quick though. Also - this would be great in coop!

Very entertaining, cool music, really a top game. This should be in top20

Really neat execution ! Really like the art, it's simple and clear.
Tutorial toggle should pause the game, spent some time figuring controls on my first game.
The second one was way cooler since I knew what I was doing, I failed because I refused to jettison my passenger. :'(

Well done.

Wow the game is not that easy, but looks amazing and is fun.

That was hectic but very cool. The gameplay is fun but I especially love the presentation. Great work.

very cool game! I found it a little jarring to just be thrown into the action, some kind of mandatory tutorial would be nice, or at least somewhere i could read the rules without being in a game.  The text was also a little difficult to read sometimes, making it unclear what to do, but the concept was great and the presentation outstanding!

I got a good laugh playing this. Wasn't particularly good at it because so many things were malfunctioning but I got a couple of trips done. The visuals were really pleasing too and they gave me nice Tiny Tower vibes which I think was a good fit.

A little daunting to pick up at first, but once I got the hang of it, I really enjoyed this game. I've been interested in similar thematic concepts in one of my previous projects, but I feel like you did a good job making this experience hectic and fun.

Maybe because I didn't make it far enough into the game, but it seemed to me that the wrench was by far the most useful tool in the game. The boiler(?) needing the most maintenance and a different tool to fix was a good balancing choice, but if I had time that meant that I could just leave the tool needed to fix it by the machine. (I really enjoyed having the ability to duct tape broken elements.) Even with just those two tools, it was a plenty hectic experience. I don't think I would be able to handle much more. Just because I'm stubborn, I didn't ever want to jettison my passengers, though from the gif in the page it looks like a very fun animation. I almost wish there were breaks between levels so I could better appreciate the art and the level. If there were time for polish and whatnot, I would like to better see and understand my score at the end of the game too.

Not a problem or something in need of a fix, but it was interesting to me that the ladders were faster to go down (since you could jump off) than climbing up. The level design is simple, but well-thought out in my opinion.

Visually and functionally, a very complete and fun experience. The audio unfortunately became repetitive relatively quickly. Nice work!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for giving such thorough feedback! We already have plans to address almost everything you mentioned in our next update (once voting for the jam closes). Interestingly enough, there is a "break" between flights right now - when you're on the ground and passengers are disembarking/boarding, the machines maintenance bars stop filling, so you have a few seconds to catch up on repairs. But in the jam version of the game, that time is super short. We're planning on making it a bit longer and also making it clearer to the player that things are calming down. I hope you'll check it out again when we update next week!

Awesome, looking forward to even more polish in the future!

Was a bit confusing at first, a ingame tutorial would be great. But congrats for the submission, is a really nice game :)

Developer(+1)

Agreed! We have one ready to go, we just didn't get it finished in time to submit for the jam. Thanks for playing!

Submitted(+1)

Seems like it would be fun, but I was a little confused about what I was supposed to do.
