Quite complex and well done. It took me a while to find out I could move and how (so much for reading the page)...

Nice!

Heck yeah, this is rad!  I think the movement is a little slow for my liking, but I feel like all three gameplay components control almost seamlessly together once you get the hang of it.  It felt really good being able to steer the drone, direct the walker, AND shoot at enemies all at the same time.  In my opinion, thats a massive achievement, especially for a game jam game.  Throw in some upgrade systems and more diverse enemy types, and you got yourself an A+ game!  Great work.

I went into this game pretty blind. Since the first thing I saw was press space to launch drone, that’s what I did. I didn’t know I can move it with WASD. It collected a few gems without me realizing it and went off screen. So I couldn’t complete the level with my first run. Also I didn’t know you can move your bot, thought it was some tower defense game until maybe a minute into the game. But once you know the controls, the game is quite fun. Good job.

Very neat! There's a lot going on all the time, but it never felt overwhelming or unmanageable.

I'm generally bad at multitasking, yet I was able to move the robot and fire on enemies while still guiding the drone to pick up crystals pretty effectively. The controls are well thought out to make everything feel very intuitive.

The enemies have the right amount of health, taking enough hits that you need to focus on them, while not so many that it feels like a chore. Even when there were a lot of them on screen, I was able to fend them off thanks to the very quick fire rate (and the ability to hold down the button to fire!)

The music is suitable tense. The sound effects fit perfectly. The one thing I would say about sound is that the robot's gun does get repetitive with the amount of firing needed. If you altered the pitch up and down slightly per shot it might help with that.

It would also help if the total number of crystals on the level was displayed somewhere at the start; if it is I missed it. Otherwise the player needs to walk over to the alter with at least one crystal and push E twice to get the total they still need to collect.

Really fantastic and fun game overall!

Nice ! Another game that does two genre into one game(Snakes and tower defense). Could use some more additions I guess, like utilizing the red orbs acquired by the drone and more objectives once they are collected. The drone seems to go off screen sometimes. Good work on it.

Thanks!

I had ideas about using them to power an attack by the drone where it would spear through the enemies. In the process it would disconnect the tail so you’d have to recollect the crystals. Didn’t have time though.

As it is right now all they are used for is handing to the altar in the middle of the map to progress to the next level. That, and giving the altar some crystals can trigger a bit of health restoration.

Excellent game. Once you get used to the mechanics the game is great fun.

However, I lost the drone and couldn't get it back. I should be able to destroy the spawn points.

If I am being completely honest, the goal of the game did not click with me right away. I understood that I was supposed to shoot the enemies with the turret, but i did not understand the goal of the drone. I would collect the crystals and give them to the turret, and nothing would seemingly happen. Perhaps I am missing the point. Regardless, there is still some nice work done here.

This was incredibly well put together and polished. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I think the drone should move a bit slower to make it more managable, but it was actually playable without afaik. Nice game :)

Nice game! I had the same problem as the friend who commented before, that my drone went far away without my attention, but I played a second time to use it correctly 🤣

Submitted(+1)

super fun and polished! enjoyed annihilating my enemies :)

well done!

It's my fault that i didn't pay better attention how to move the drone rather than the robot, from my standpoint i launch the drone and it just trucks off to the right-side of the screen and never comes back.

Otherwise being as I write things with big vision that are only partly realized most of my games, i vibe with people building depth into their game even something feels off.  So i gave pretty good marks to this one.

Everything on this game seems professionally done so I'm most pleased.

Gave you each an itch follow, if you like the thing(s) on my page(s), consider doing the same.

Cheers!

Nice little game, but there are a few issues.

You should really spam proof your altar. I was able to beat the game only collecting 7 gems, just by spamming the altar, skipping the 2 other levels by doing so and reaching the credits.

I don't like that the enemies can still block your shot and deal damage during their death animation.

And it would be nice if there was a maximum distance the drone can fly either from your robot, or from the level bounds.
I did beat the game legit once, without altar spam

Multitasking shooting, moving your robot, and controlling the bot was a lot of fun, though a bit repetitive with the size of the last level. Visually it looks good, and sounds and music were also good.
Neat game.

The drone distance was a known issue. What we have now with the arrow was a compromise for sake of time investment on my part. I am not sure if adding in a return behavior to the drone would fit into the characterization of a “bugfix.” It will likely have to wait for a post-jam version.

Somehow we didn’t think to check for spamming submission. The blocking death animation is a good call out. I’ll try to make a bugfix to address them by tomorrow.

TYSM for taking the time to QA!

That was some multitasking stress. but in the best possible sense. Was really fun walking the robot, fighting the enemies and also flying the drone. Well done

Wow this is really fun !

This already feels like it could be a full game. I would love to see what you could do with more time. I only wish I knew how many of the crystals were left before heading back to the altar.

That was unexpected, but a lot of fun!

I really enjoy the duality of it, having two different control schemes and purposes (to be honest, I purposely did not read the page text before playing to see if the game told me how it works, and just played infinite ammo tower-defense for a looooong time before I realised I could right-click to move!), and the game has quite a bit more complexity and fun to it when you start moving around!

I feel like there is a good balance between the movement speed of the drone and the mech, but it would have been nice if the ammo was limited, and the drone could do single points of damage or something when moving around (to keep it interesting),

All in all, I think it came together really nicely, and had quite a bit of fun!

Great job, that was really cool!

Really cool concept! Controlling both the robot and the drone at the same time creates a nice dynamic that feels surprisingly smooth once you get used to it. If the drone gets off-screen, there is a big arrow pointing to it, though the first time I wasn't sure what was happening and it wandered off really far away and I had to restart, my bad there, but might be something worth looking into. The pathfinding on the robot is a great touch too, and the graphics are solid. Great work!

This was fun totally worth playing! felt satisfying when I had a whole line of crystals on my drone.

Nice graphics and gameplay. I like that it has pathfinding for the robot. :)
