I love looking and listening to this. Playing maybe not so much since it's kind of flat and previous planets become entirely obsolete the moment you get to the next.

I do appreciate the little attention to the rotations, with Venus and Uranus rotating that way. Very nice.

Awesome work! I was hoping to do a similar thing for my entry with the central art but didn’t have time but it’s awesome to see it works well. It would have been cool to have the planets change as they industrialized (or maybe they did and I didn’t notice it?, definitely see it with Sol) and a mute button onscreen so I can leave it up and do other things while I wait.

Really nice shader effects :D

Good job and congratulations on your submission!

Really beautiful game, very polished.

aestethically speaking I must say every choice is well made, the windows layout, is fire, The planet generator you used is crazy, I'm gonna take it and study it A LOT.

I think everything is quite "rounded",  music, aesthetics, sounds, environment and everything was in the same "artistic direction".

nice one

Very nice relaxing game going from planet to planet collecting their resources.

The music was prefect for the game and the simple yet beautiful graphics gave it the complete polish.

Only complaint was the Sol parts took a very long time to collect but did fit with the theme.

Minor suggestion you could have made the planets change color/appearance as you drain their resources and eventually leave them as obsolete rocks floating in space, but just a suggestion - great submission!

Very chill game. The old windows aesthetics and shaders work really nicely, and that planet generator resource is really cool!

the music in this game is especially nice ! its super calming, i could totally have an amazing nap listening :)) n visuals are lovely as well and compliment each other.  If you take it further I think it would be cool to see the planets changing and be able to have more choices as the player to shape them n grow your own custom solar system. The atmosphere is perfect :3 lovely game

I really liked the retro style and the shader planets, which are truly superb. The soundscape is immersive. The space theme and progression towards a Type II civilization are very well done, even if the gameplay remains a little passive and could benefit from more interactivity.

Top marks for the style and audio alone!  Definitely a lot of fun.

Loved the aesthetic of the game, was really relaxing too. The retro UI was a great choice for the UI and really ties everything together! Great submission :)

The UI and art is really neat (infact im saving it for future reference) The sound is chill and its fun seeing resources go up by the power.

Very chill incremental game! I love the visual aspect too.

Just at the beginning, I saw the earth button was clickable and I though clicking it will give me more materials like a Cookie Clickers. Only when unlocking the moon I realised it was only for changing planet. ^^

That retro UI with pixel planet shaders really nails the aesthetic. The idle gameplay loop fits the theme super well, and I found the idea of expanding into a Type II civilization satisfying to watch unfold. Sound design is great too; the ambient spacey vibe helps make the wait feel cozy rather than boring. Definitely a standout entry for style and concept. Well done!

Shaders looked gorgeous! I did find the gameplay a little lacking as I was waiting for a chance to buy an upgrade and didn’t have much to do in the mean time. I got a crash after getting Sol, but did see maybe an expansion of an area around Sol as I progressed? I enjoyed the sound design too. The background music was really relaxing

Developer

Sorry to hear that the game crashed :( What browser and OS were you on? Perhaps we can troubleshoot.

I am using duck duck go and mac os. What browser have you been testing with?

Developer(+1)

We've been testing in Chrome on Windows, I just tested in DuckDuckGo on Windows and it worked for me. I unfortunately don't have a Mac to test on.
Looking into it a bit, the best guess I have is that this is a result of the shaky compatibility between Godot's web builds and macOS. In particular, there seems to be an ongoing issue with web builds that use multithreading (which our game does), but the best source I could find on this is this note from the docs. In retrospect, we probably don't need multithreading on this game lol, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

very addicting game. The vibes, the visuals, the music all incredible

I have a soft spot for clicker games, and this one has astronomy references, too! Clever use of the planets, as they looked really good (shaders?). I liked that it was pretty easy to grasp, and I appreciated the combination of a linear and exponential scaling resources. I enjoyed building my type II Karadashev civilization.

Great work by the team. Congrats on your submission!

Developer

Thanks, glad you liked it! As mentioned in the game description, we used this pixel planet generator for the planet visuals. The generator uses shaders, but also allows you to customize a planet then export it as a sprite sheet, which is what we wound up doing. We did somewhat regret going this route though, as our sprite sheets wound up being huge (Saturn's sheet is over 51 MB... after compression).

I love the design!

Really nice visuals and the SFX really sells it too!

heads up that at least for me, clicking space to toggle the shader also resulted in clicking the last clicked button in the game. Also didn't know that there are UI/various tools on itch as a itch newbie so appreciate ya'll linking the things used (i was going for something similar in my game with crt + desktop ui but couldn't figure it out in time)! Love the look and sounds of this game , great job with this!
