Thanks for playing and  the detailed feedback.

I did want to have different options for how the towers target the enemies - was even thinking of letting you control a tower.

Main restriction during attacking wave is you cannot have you build as the pathfinding can get very intense in 3D world.

I will take this feedback into account as I continue the mobile development, thanks again

Thanks for playing and appreciate the feedback - agree need to work on the interface and would have added the keyboard hotkeys but time was limited

Fun take on the theme.

I was able to make it to level 7 and will come back to try to complete the rest.

The graphics, sound, and music were all very nice and liked the fading through the factory as the start of the level.

The gameplay itself was simple but fun.

Two quick notes, some introduction to the game would have been nice - although once I saw the instructions it was straightforward. When I restarted the level name got stuck and the objective did not show up. Fixed itself on beating the level.

Thanks for submitting,

Tough game - Definitely a fresh take on the theme. The controls were a little challenging and was not sure when the 'E' spell would work or not.

As others have mentioned having healing of time between waves would be nice.

Thanks for submitting

Thanks for playing and glad you liked the music.

I will continue to work on the controls and the tutorial for the mobile release

Interesting take on the theme and the first trivia game I have seen during a jam.

Thanks for submitting

Thanks for playing, yeah understand the controls were tricky - will be working on that for the mobile release.

Very fun game.

Really like the scroller brawler take on the theme.

The graphics/music/sound were very nice and pulled me right in.

The game was well polished and the different stages were fresh.

The third stage I felt was actually easier with the wizards not shooting down but overall it was well balanced and a lot of fun.

Minor complaint: the kicking control at times felt unresponsive maybe a keyboard issues?

Thanks for submitting - really good one.

Thanks for playing and thanks for the suggestions. Agree with the fading comment and will work on the controls.

(1 edit)

Very well done TD game. Polished and balanced - playing on hard I found myself constantly needing to retry stages. The graphics are simple but effective. The different music times were nice, more sound effects could have been nice but understand the limit timeframe.

Not a complaint but was not able to beat the game yet so hope to come back and beat it after the jam.

Thanks for submitting, definitely one of the best ones so far.

Edit: Noted that you cannot resume at a later stage... this is a must to add

Thanks for playing and for the very detailed review.
Most of your pain points were on my todo list but time constraints prevented me from reaching them.

My next item was going to be to let your select which type of defense each tower would be and yes the towers were supposed to ray cast to the nearest enemy in light of sight - sadly the shooting worked for this not the targeting...

I was also going to throw in WASD for movement and E and Q for up and down but again time prevented and my goal for mobile put this down on my list.

I will work on the movement/viewing/lifting-dropping as I roll it out to the mobile.

Sorry to hear about the wall thing, I thought my pathfinding prevent it from blocking, but the outside walls must be preventing that.

Noticed the color similarity when I was watching their death animation... I liked the texture but agree, maybe I just change the tint/hue to keep the pattern.

Thanks again for playing and for all the notes, I will be sure to come back to them as I work on the release.

Wow! incredible submission.

Loved the pixelated 3D  graphics, the double take on the theme - climbing a tower with a tower of books. The controls were fantastically simple and responsive.  I wished I had played though on spicy instead of medium as I would have liked the challenge. The level design was a little repetitive, but the different music scores for each level made it seem fresh.

Very impressive for a week jam can not say it enough thanks for submitting.

Thanks for playing and glad you enjoyed it. The text did tell you to press the "shield' but understand it could be missed, if I had more time would have added to help page and it could been more clear.

Interesting take on the theme. The controls were difficult to get used to, but after working with 3D transformations in my first 3D game I understand and appreciate the complexity of it.

The graphics fit nicely with asteroids as did the sound - music was nice update though.

I was enjoying destroying those asteroids and sudden I died... I was not sure what killed my ship though and I will have to came back for revenge :)

Thanks for submitting.

Thanks for playing and the kind words.

I had not thought about putting the camera controls in a corner like that before - sounds like an intuitive and and eloquent method.

To address your gameplay concerns, maybe I could illustrate the enemies path somehow - thanks again for playing and your suggestions.

Very pretty platformer the artwork looked quite unique. Really liked the music too.

Simple yet effective, nice submission.

Very interesting take on the theme. I got almost all the cameras unlocked. Have to say the change of perspective is more disorienting than I expected. Definitely will be back to beat this one.

Nice submission

Thanks for playing and glad you liked the death scene. Yes it just repeating, wanted to make it more branching but ran out of time

Thanks for playing - glad you liked it, yeah the clicking control was  a little tricky and clicking again resets the targeting...

the game is endless and didn't get the multiple paths setup due to time limitations. Hopefully on the mobile release

Nice simple straight forward submission.

Liked the graphics and really liked the music. The duck quacking sound got a little old through.

The gameplay was  good and controls felt pretty solid. Also liked the varied enemies and the boss battle, maybe a little too easy though.

Really like this game. The graphics, sound, and music make a very enjoyable game, but the gameplay and the upgrade system really make it. Played a couple times and make it further each time, is there a limit or is it endless?

Thanks for submitting again, great game!

Thanks, glad you liked that animation - I wanted to do more (updates/additional attacking types etc...) but ran out of time...

As others have mentioned the text was very hard to read without a full screen button.

The game seemed to easy and with out the story not really sure what I was doing besides driving around the track.

Thanks for submitting through

Nice puzzle platformer.

Art and music was a bit simple but clear enough.

More levels would have been great, but understand the time constraints.

Nice submission.

Liked the light on/off mechanic - although found when the monsters found you/walked past you hard to determine.

The sound of the footsteps and the scary noise when you were found were great additions and added the feal of the game.

Incredible game, especially for your first! And it lives up the souls name, very difficult.

Finally won with 194 deaths... yikes.

Love the graphics, especially the death animations.

The sound was excellent although the final music felt odd a more epic/fantasy themed tune might have been better.

Love the gameplay and how you build on the different elements, would have shifted the third  level  back as it was harder then some of the later ones.  The range of vision with the light and traps being around each corner worked very well.

The final boss fight was very tough and very rewarding with the finish him scene.

The only two complaints I have are:

1. The hit box on the duck was too big and should have been different sizes for different traps, for instance the spikes should just be feet, the pits should be a very small dot, the fire could be larger.

2. Some of the "attacks" from the boss were too difficult when paired with others - such as the mass of spike traps if there is anything chasing you it is just impossible - in fact I don't think I ever dodged them when fireballs/others were around - the idea is great just needs some tweaking (make a smaller number of spike traps appear)

Overall this was a great game one of the best I have played through all the Godot Wild Jams I have been a part of.

Really enjoyed this simply but elegant puzzle game. Would love to play more levels and found out what happens to Shadow and Melt.

Very nice submission. I really liked the day/night (light/dark) mechanic.

The gameplay was pretty good, as other have mentioned felt a little slow and the wait to reshoot plus the reload timer was a little strange.

The graphics was good, although I did notice some animation problems with the dogs - they stopped animating but moved around.

The sound was quite nice and fit nicely.

Overall great submission

Quick and silly game. Nice work for your first. Graphics were simply and charming. I liked the intro story.

Nice little puzzle game.

At first I struggled with the diagonal placement of water, needing to hold the two keys then let go of shift, but then it was a lot of fun.

Thanks for submitting

Fun game. Really liked the back and forth between the past and the future would have been really neat with some puzzles though: moving boxes/triggering traps/etc...

The art and sound fit well, music was good but stops playing after a while.

As others have stated having an end sequence would have been nice - understandable with time constraints though

Thanks for submitting it was fun!

Very well done game.

Really like the graphical approach and the sound/music.

The game did have a big ramp up in difficulty - seemed like I was doing well and suddenly I could not keep up

Great submision

As others have mentioned, there is no way to play the game

Think this is the first racing game I have played in a GWJ and it doesn't disappoint.

Great graphics and music.

Like others have stated the theme felt a little forced and it seemed like the race just kept going on and on had to quit and try the second course, but thanks for submitting I enjoyed it

Nice submission especially for your first.

Liked the artwork and the music.

The gameplay was fairly solid and I really liked the game over mechanic.

Good work

Thanks for playing and glad you liked it.

Yes unfortunately due to time limitations I was able to incorporate all the elements I wanted to prevent you from dying before you win, so you just need to keep going and surviving the game over scene a couple of times.

Yeah... did not really setup the ending very well, you need to die multiple times to win... sorry

Fun game, like the art and music is great. but got stuck in the second level :(

Maybe I will try again after reading the comment below.

Yikes this one is hard...

Want to come back and try to beat it later

Well Done!

Interesting game.

I did not except the events that unfolded so fits the theme nicely.

The controls felt a little off unfortunately but ok once I got used to it.
