I really liked this game.
The gameplay felt really creative and intuitive, nice idea! I also really enjoyed the retro feeling to the music and the aesthetic for the enemies. I feel like it would benefit from expansion on the attacks/moves as some things felt like a more normal attack and increasing the need for and viability of defensive moves (I beat it by mostly using the dagger on the ranger looking adventurer which felt really strong). Otherwise though, it's a really cool and interesting entry and I'd like to see where it goes if you choose to work more on it.
I love the gameplay and the theme! The game is really fun and the forging mechanic is super original. Keep up the good work, its super cool to see other first time game jammers making cool things like this!
Very interesting dungeon crawling game. Took a minute to understand what I was doing, but I got it after 2 or 3 turns. It was put together very nicely. Congrats on completing your first GWJ game!
A very simple dungeon crawler with an interesting mechanic. I like that you could experiment on different combinations of actions with different party members. One thing to note is that the models of the characters seems to be duplicated when you return to the title screenand play the game again.
Thanks for giving the game a try!
Yeah, it seem I forgot to test that after the game's over based on this and other feedback haha
Super cool submission! Always love seeing 3D graphics in a jam~! Maybe I missed it, but would be cool to see some tips and tricks for using specific weapons for specific heroes. Took me some experimentation and am honestly still unsure on some abilities. Either way, great stuff and congrats on your first GWJ!
Thanks for trying the game!
In this case i wanted to leave that part hidden on purpose to encourage players to experiment and see the reactions to what each would do, especially since I had to cut down other materials that would have added even more effects
Excelent concept, plus the UI, sound design, game feel and the graphics are so well achieved. Excellent job!
I've gotta ask you one thing tho, the quantity of each ore is always the same? 'cause it would be very cool to see the amount of combinations and strategies that could be done with a little more randomization or bonuses.
Thanks for trying the game!
Yeah, after defeating certain enemies, you'll gain an extra ore, I didn't have time to add some panel to indicate that, also I had to cut down some extra types of ores due to time.
Really cool concept! The models and sprite were nice looking. I wish there was more explanation for what each weapon does on each character, as well as a reason to use the different weapons, as I won the game using just the combo of daggers on the warrior and staff on the mage. There's a nice base here for future expansion if you guys want to.
Very nice graphics, sound, and music.
The gameplay was a little confusing, but thankfully the instructions helped to start; although not really sure what all those different options were. Was hoping to see the wizard do some sort of attack instead of healing.
The game was short and left me wishing more a longer game with some options on which path you took, but understand time constraints and for your first GWJ submission this was great.
One last note: I reset the game once (Return to main menu) and it there were shadow characters left over.
Thanks for submitting, I enjoyed it.
This is my kind of game. Amazing entry for a jam. Great fun.
I like the concept of forging equipment for each move!
