The game was pretty good and fun. Gameplay was easy to understand. SFX was good and satisfying. But the core gameplay was not polished and especially in fights, the game was boring. The lack of nice visuals was annoying, but overall I had fun playing the game.

Btw, although I made a "Clicker" game for this jam, but I'm not a huge fan of "Idle Clicker" games, where you just click, then automate things so the game does everything for you, and you just "Idle". Good job on making such a fun game anyway :)

Thanks for playing and your feedback.

My Golem defeated the Dragon! Nicely done. I love this style of progress, the gameplay loop felt good, and the different upgrades felt nice. Hard to rate the art since it didn’t have a bunch, the icons were pretty simple, but went well with the rest of the feel of the game. Overall I had fun, which is an important aspect of a game. Nice Job!

Developer

Thanks for playing and glad you made it to the end. Yeah was going for minimalist art.

Sound took way longer than I expected though.

Thanks for the submission. I have to be a little careful since clicker games can be a bit addictive for me, especially when they're fun like yours :).

I was able to figure out pretty quickly how to play and how to increase all the numbers. The progress bars on the buttons made it quite satisfying to click around.

It would be nice if there were a little bit more artwork maybe so that I could see my settlement grow a bit more (or just to add a bit more life into the style).

Developer

Thanks for playing and glad you liked it. I thought about more artwork but wanted to keep it minimalistic and wanted to make sure I finished everything, maybe my mobile version will have more.

I'm glad someone made a clicker game.  This was pretty fun.  I liked the art.  It would be cool if more of the UI incorporated more of that art style.  Also it would be nice to see a bit more of a visualization of the battle.  Everything happened so quickly it was a little hard to tell what was going on.  Just some thoughts if you expand the game or whatever.  I know there's only so much time in a jam.  Nice work!

Thanks for playing and glad you liked the art. Agree with the battle could have been improved with  better visualizations - time as always limited what I could get done.

Amazing cookie-clicker-style game. Like genuinely one of the most enjoyable experiences I've had gameplay wise this game jam, which is surprising considering it's not much to look at. But after I played the first 5 min I appreciated the simple graphics, which made me focus on the producing. I loved the worker assignment mechanic which changed the focus on what is should click to where I should have my worker assigned. I didn't really know what was going to come up next and how that would change the game, and the only complaint is that I would prefer to see the requirement for the next unlockable action, so I know what I should be focusing on to get more stuff, but I still liked the uncertainty on what it actually will do. All and all one of my favorite submissions this GWJ,  good job :D

Thanks for playing and the very kind words. There is button later that reveals the unseen buttons but it is fairly late, should probably have moved it earlier. Thanks again

A bit slow at the start (maybe make each wave have its own time), but the idle-like mechanic was fun.

Developer

Thanks for playing, yeah could have moved up one of the weapons earlier and had the first wave quicker.

I think the time investment needed to get going was a little steep. It did start to get the ol' dopamine flowing after i got to like 5+ pickaxes. You also have to really use your imagination with this one once the battle starts haha, but I did like how the audio paints a picture. Love the game over sound too lol

I spent way too much time playing this. It kind of gave me cookie clicker vibes, or something like that. The automation mechanics and deciding where to allocate workers and resources was really engaging. A pause button and slightly more comprehensive "help" section would be my only suggestions. Thanks for this!
