Great game, nice idea and unique design.
The visuals were not that good, but the SFX on the other side was great.
The game was really good and I loved the uniqueness of it. The graphics were cute and SFX was really better than many other games in this jam.
The gameplay was deep and long enough to keep the players engaged. But the game starts abruptly and with the lack of a tutorial, the player becomes confused at the beginning.
This game was innovative, challenging, deep and fun and I think is a great contender for the title of "The Jam Winner"! Great job!
The game looked good and fun in screenshots, until I played it! I just didn't know what was the goal in this game; Should I survive some waves? Should I defeat enemies? Getting a high score?
And also I didn't know what was I forging. The game had no tutorial or a logbook or something to tell me what exactly each card/creature does. And the game lacked secondary mechanics which were funny if added. Good job anyway.
The game was pretty good and fun. Gameplay was easy to understand. SFX was good and satisfying. But the core gameplay was not polished and especially in fights, the game was boring. The lack of nice visuals was annoying, but overall I had fun playing the game.
Btw, although I made a "Clicker" game for this jam, but I'm not a huge fan of "Idle Clicker" games, where you just click, then automate things so the game does everything for you, and you just "Idle". Good job on making such a fun game anyway :)
Well clicker games are mostly just pressing left click, but my game added some other inputs (Tab, Right Click, Space, etc.) to increase your score if you want to play the game rhythmically and not just 1 input.
Plus some other ways to gain score, like reroll, upgrading, level up, etc. and some other ways that you have to find the right gadget(s).
Hey, thanks for playing my game!
Well you are right and I didn't have time to polish the "click" button sadly.
Well you get gadgets after leveling up and each gadget does something different which is visually told to the player by different SFX, gadget popping up and also different particles and numbers with different color. I'm not sure where is the problem.
3.14? Because we are Pi-rates!
Thank you again :)
Thanks you for playing the game and giving me this big feedback!
Upgrading traits is done by clicking on them and having enough resources. I thought displaying number of resources required below each upgrade would be enough to tell the player what to do.
Yeah polishing and tweaking was not enough because of lack of time, but I tried my best to deliver the best regardless.
Thank you again :)
The game was simple and short (like very short!), but good and innovative. Although the game was easy and both level were completable with any single piece of the given pieces. Main menu was bugged, sometimes moved and sometimes not moved with the camera.
But good job designing such a good idea in little time.
The game's combination of discovery and forging was a good idea, especially when combined with horror! But the execution was not that good, especially with visuals not being that good to match the gameplay.
The mini games were a little confusing at first and the tutorial was not that helpful.
Overall the game had a great idea and would've been better if you had more time to polish it.
Thank you for playing the game and giving me feedback :) I'm happy that you enjoyed the game.
I tried to make different types of gadgets, one of them was miss-able gadgets, where you have to activate it or will be missed. There are other gadget types like auto-activating, passive, non-miss-able (the type you had in mind), timed, etc.
The reason for the "exact number" mechanic was so the player plays the game rhythmically, like 7 clicks, space, 7 clicks, space, etc. Combined with other gadgets, madness awaits the player!
I know it's a game jam and not all the features have to / can be perfect and my opinion is a personal opinion, maybe right maybe not. But I thought forging two basic trinkets would give a combined/stronger version of them, not only reroll. And also at first I thought it was for repairing trinkets with no charges left.
