I liked the color scheme for this game, think it would look visually pleasing when fleshed out.

Took me a while to figure out how to play the game. Intuitively, I kept expecting to move the player with WASD,  But after that, it was straightforward how the game should be played.

Perhaps there was no need to place the tiles so far up, such that you needed to scroll to see it. Maybe a canvas layer overlay, with UI to select the pieces would help! This way you can remove the need to the WASD to move the camera.

Developer

Thanks for playing! Yeah my original idea was to make the components be created from the UI but I could not finish it on time.

I really liked the visual style and concept.  I would like to see what this game would look like with a bit more time to polish and bug fix.  Nice work!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! I am planning to finish it properly.

The game was simple and short (like very short!), but good and innovative. Although the game was easy and both level were completable with any single piece of the given pieces. Main menu was bugged, sometimes moved and sometimes not moved with the camera.

But good job designing such a good idea in little time.

Thanks for playing! I made the second level UI be the child of the camera so it moves it camera and for the first level, the level fit completely in the camera so I did not do it. I will change it, thanks for the feedback.

A lot of potential here, and adorable visuals to boot.  The controls and npc reaction to pathing changes had me struggling to get through at times, but not so much I didn't finish.  I did feel like I had to "glitch" a little to get the npc moving again a couple times (literally moving the bridge he was standing on seemed to "reset" his pathing and allow him to finish crossing water), and there were some issues with the mouse grabbing multiple pieces while moving around.  I still finished it, and enjoyed myself.  Thanks for giving us a game to play, and good job finishing the jam!

Developer

Thanks for playing! I spent too long on first level and did not notice the bridges bugged when we stacked until its too late. I am planning to fix the bugs and release a version after gamejam. Thanks for the feedback.

Nice idea, I always like a puzzle game. Like others said, a little buggy. But, neat concept. I like the simulation game approach, keep it up!

Developer

Thanks for playing! Planning to fix the bugs and improve the core mechanics.

Cool idea, but Its pretty buggy. The resolution was way off in both full screen and windowed mode. Also, the dude can walk through the water to the other side if you just take the current platform from under him.

I liked the idea though! I can see how this could be a cool game if it were longer and you fixed some of the major issues. Also, the ai was actually awesome, it seemed pretty complex for a jam game since it was able to path on the moving bridges surprisingly well, the only time it broke was when i took out the bridge from under it, it held up quite well other than that.

I doubt you will, but if you decide to rejig this game and expand on it, a good idea would be to have the player set out all the bridges first, then not allow the player to move the bridges again after the character starts walking. That way, you can't just cheese it by using one platform and just moving it in front of him over and over, you have to pick which bridges to use carefully and have a limited amount to work with.

Developer

Thanks for playing! My original plan was to make the bridges fit in the slots and there would be limited bridge components and player has to solve the puzzle to do it. The bridges turned out to be buggy by the time I finished the NPC AI and there was no time to implement the original concept. Thanks for feedback. I am planning to fix the bugs and implement my original idea.

Great idea,  as mentioned before a bit buggy bridge building experience where you easily get stuck. Hope to see a further developed version with refined controls / mechanics - keep up the good work!

Thanks for playing! Planning to refine the gameplay and fix all the bugs.

Nice idea. Relaxing. It would be interesting to play more if you fix the issues. My character got stuck on the second level for me and prefers to walk on the water :)

Developer

Thanks for playing! yeah there is a bug with bridges.

Sweet little game.  Would love to play a more developed version.  great game

Developer

Thanks for playing! Planning to work on bugs and implement the complete idea.

Hey I enjoyed the puzzle elements of this game, cool idea of forging a path forward. Would be great to see this expanded upon. I think having a visualisation  of the path the NPC would take would be nice

Developer

Thanks for playing! I decided against visualization as I did not have time to make it properly. Going forward I will implement it.

Great art!  Bridge building is a bit buggy, unfortunately.

Developer

Thanks for playing! I started late so could not finish the original idea and core mechanic is still somewhat buggy. I used a free art asset (I credited the art asset in the credits)

Love the artstyle. Also the concept is great and I think would make for a great mechanic if there was a way to lock the bridges in place <3

Developer

Thanks for playing! The original core mechanic was to make grids for the bridges to slot in place and I wanted to make the grids freeform so we can stack bridges if we want. Unfortunately I started late and spent too long on NPC AI and blocks turned out buggy. I used a free art asset (I put it in credits).

the art is pretty, sometimes the bridges got stuck together but very fun!

Developer

Thanks for playing! Blocks turned out buggy, I am planning to finish this properly with grids to place the blocks and improve dragging. I used a free art asset(I put it in credits).
