The art style and MC animations are superb. However, the game was very slow on my computer. I played it in the browser. Maybe because of the lags or maybe because such games are not one of my strengths, I can’t make it far enough to see the actual forge. I understand that the author may pass this challenge easily, but I recommend that in the future, adding a setting for game complexity, easy/hard, will help to engage many more players who like exploring more than fighting.

Fun game with good art and music.
The game has a problem when trying to run it in browser in full screen mode. The default size in browser runs well but it does not show things properly.
Also add UI for players to pick up the sword and it's really easy to miss

Love Mars playing during the opening crawl.

Your pixel art animations are very good, good job

As others, I'd be interested in anything starwars related. Having two light sabers was pretty cool, especially one red and blue. Unfortunately, I also had trouble with the browser version lagging really bad :(

The game is fun and I like the concept of gathering essence from enemies. Art is really good and the Star Wars theme gives this a +1 for me. Also, the lore at the beginning is interesting and adds to the concept and atmosphere of the game. Great job!

I tried playing the game, but the lag on my browser (Firefox) was too much to be able to play it properly

Visually this project is well made! The animations were fluid and the gameplay loop satisfying enough to keep me going. I would maybe like to see something more than combat to spice up the gameplay, or maybe a bit more varied combat. Like different lightsabers with different types of attacks or something. But I am nitpicking a bit here. Amazing entry :D

Very impressive to make this in 9 days, especially the art and sound. FYI, I had an issue playing this in my browser on my laptop, where the resolution seemed to be off as the side was cut off. But I managed to play it and seems really cool!

I love Starwars, so I was excited to check this one out. I think you did a great job with the visuals, it had some real pop to it, nice use of shaders and asset choice. Like others have said, it would have been nice to iconicly take out the droids with their own lasers, but i’ll settle for well time whooshing! Nice job overall!

Ok so you can't expect me to pass up on a ST*RW*RS game (though i'm slightly concerned whether you might get into trouble with LucasArts copyrights XD). There were some wonkiness with the HTML version, the starting scene was your GWJ shoutout picture, and I only got past it by randomly hitting esc. But after that it went smoothly. Loved the art and the SFX. Was slightly disappointed that i cant reflect phaser lasers with my lights***e (am I allowed to call it that?). Good fun!

Super fun! Weird issue where sometimes turning left and right would flip where your legally-distinct-saber-of-lasers was facing, but I ended up playing this one a ton.

Good fun, and really great graphics. I couldn't get past the teleporters section, maybe I should have spent longer in the previous section, still had a few enemies to kill and I don't know if there was more than the 1 extra saber to find?

Always love me some Gustav Holst. Sound design in general is great. I love the ambient noises and short musical cues you have occasionally. There's a ton of enemies and I never really got more than 20-30 before the permadeath killed me. I'm hoping to be able to come back and try to beat this one at a later date!

really love the environment design especially! some more responsiveness (things like indicators for when enemies will attack and when the roll stops, starts, and refreshes) would help alot with the difficulty curve though
(also, this isnt a big deal for most, but your game doesn't work if the resolution isn't 16:9)

This game was a lot of fun, running around killing baddies, upgrading my weapons... and then I went through the teleporter had all my weapons reset and when I died I got stuck in the lava....

Will retry it again because I enjoyed it but that bug was no fun...

The art is fantastic, the subtle animations, the water shader (?), etc.  It is very difficult however, especially with over 100 enemies and permadeath.  Also, the similar-to-but-legally-different-than scrolling music was spot on.
