Google Gemini (Pro / Thinking) for code + music. Adobe Firefly for Sound Effects... my second solo jam, so very curious how this goes, and what everyone else will manage to put together.

Annoyingly addictive :D - solid core loop, and the random cards bring much needed variation - would have been great with even more quirky cards to boost your score.

Not sure you meet the 1-bit criteria though? You might be using opacity, but it looks like there are different grey tones, black buttons with white outline and fading texts etc.

Anyway, other than that, just a fun idle clicker - well done!

Fun little game - you might need to reconsider your death animation colour for this 1-bit jam

You managed to squeeze a lot of fun mechanics  in there - plays very well, with snappy responsive controls. Great work!

Good concept, triple jump is a life-saver!

As others have mentioned, music gets repetitive very fast, and the lightning is a bit rough on the eyes in the long run!

I think if you didn't have the 1-bit constraint, you could actually turn this into a really nice game experience.

Like others have mentioned, a bit of easing into the game would have been good - like a little step-by-step tutorial level to make you understand what you are looking for, and showcase of how your different choices affect what is happening.

Nice retro aesthetics, and audio though.

Those boosts and reverse controls can finish you fast! Definitively a decent little game with further potential

Thank you for making a web version, sadly I don't get past the (AI loading screen, just gets stuck) - MacBook Pro M2 Max with 96gb ram, so wouldn't think performance should be the issue? Tried Safari, Chrome and Firefox

Any chance of a web build? Sounds like people are enjoying the game, and the screenshots look really nice

Great movement, could become a fun little arcade thing, however needs refinement / game balancing (as mentioned by someone else you can beat the game in no time, by holding two keys).

At it's core there's something there, (kinda frogger, but with smooth movement) - it would be interesting to see the core mechanic dressed in a unique visual theme, maybe with added pick-ups and power-ups for risk / reward

As mentioned by others before, Great art style and concept - however quite a few issues with the mechanics, which makes it frustrating.

Loved the UV light idea, and definitively see potential if you choose to develop and refine it further.

Art direction and audio makes the experience very immersive = good work!

Thank you for trying the game!

Very cool pico8 production, lovely visuals and audio - fun core loop

Not my type of game, but I  had fun regardless! Quirky and chaotic, sfx are great, visuals do the job, and mechanics are very solid.

Another good minimalistic game with solid core idea and mechanics. Seriously impressed that you managed to finish two games for this Jam! Both with really good execution.

Haha, me in the beginning - oh, a classic point and click adventure, walk though a door and have giant insect chase me! :D

really well done!

ah, was just about to ask the same, hope to maybe see a bit more gameplay video at some point then. By the sound of other comments, you've done a great job!

Wow, impressive! Truely a piece of art - as others mention it would benefit from a bit of optimisation, but to be honest I'm happy you prioritised to spend time on content - it really shows!

wow! Thank you so much - really happy with the custom colour option, so I’m glad you appreciate it too.

Cheers!  I had a good run - was able to lock in concept and scope straight away, which help keep me on track. Still would have loved to add a bit more polish… might try doing that after the jam

Cheers! I'm glad you had a bit of fun with it - I personally really like shooting a fireball down a dark hallway, to get a sense of the space. That was kind of what triggered the whole idea of the game.

Thank you for the feedback, I'll make a note of that!

Simple idea, well executed, fun challenge! I'm not 100% sure I get how it fits the game jam theme though?

That being said, you made a cool little game, that has replay value - well done!

Cheers, played it, liked it, rated it!

Purrfect little jam entry (Mmmm... jam on bread!) anyway, really cool idea, and fun to play. Visuals and music work well, only comment as others have mentioned is that it can be hard to identify the item that you have to steal / collect. I played the browser version, and had a few weird white lines / artefacts, that seemed a bit odd, maybe a glitch, but didn't take away from the overall experience. Great job

Very decent Dungeon Craw.... I mean Climber! Solid mechanics and fun game loop. Took me a minute to figure out the debugging part (think whatever character you had above and below the code - arrows? - didn't render correctly on my machine)

Cheers, appreciate your comment - always try to make something that I feel is easy to pick up and play for a short fun session.

Thank you for playing - think it just shows how old I actually am :-D  I was inspired by old titles like Catacomb 3D (1991) and Wolfenstein 3D (1992)

sorry to have disappointed you (tut mir leid) - I’ve partnered up with various people during the past 20+ years, sometimes successful but more often not.  Invested countless hours building concepts, art and animation never to be released.

So I see this as an opportunity to finally be able to have a creative outlet, and share my game ideas and see prototypes come alive.

I’m aware that a lot of developers, designers and other professions are currently feeling the impact of ai (trust me I’m one of them!) - however we will have to adapt, and make the best of the tools available to us, without killing creativity, curiosity and craftsmanship.

Impressive for a solo production, the atmosphere is really nice, visuals and sound great. Game could be longer, but understand the limitations with what is achievable during a Jam - Definitively potential to built a full Noir crime story here.

Thank you for doing the HTML version, had a play through exploring all the different endings, The art style is so refreshing and fun! I really enjoyed it. Only issue I had was I could not get the music to play? And it would have been fun with more content, small puzzles etc. However that might be an idea if you want to continue developing your quirky little universe after this jam.

All in all a really original approach to the theme, and I'm so happy to see a point and click adventure - well done!

Don't be sorry - you built a very good game in a short amount of time  - and it's a game jam after all, so it's a time to experiment and learn. Keep up the good work! I saw some of your other projects, on your itch.io page you got some very interesting ideas and mechanics.

thank you very much - I’m happy you liked it

thank you so much! I’m glad you had fun beating the game (secretly still hoping that people will start sharing tomb seed numbers and try to beat each others run and completion rates)

I wanted to create a global leaderboard, just couldn’t figure out how to do it

Woah! such a polished production - game juice galore! - everything looks and feels amazing.

You might benefit from adding a few difficulty setting easy, normal, hard... or at least slowly ramp up the difficulty to let people ease in to things. One thing that surprised me, was how your title screen / thumbnail feel quite weak compared to your actual product. I almost skipped your game, because it didn't capture my interest.

But I'm so glad I gave it a chance anyway - well done!

Liked the vibes, visual are great! Took me a second to find my way through the tutorial and get the hang of it, but overall a solid jam entry.

Fun idea, been through a few airports, so this is a good spin on a familiar activity. I did struggle to keep the motivation though, even with the different phrases you've implemented.

I'm aware of your reference to the sergeant, however it somehow feel a bit unrelated to the actual game - might have been better to just go all in on the airport theme. As others mentioned the sound got a bit annoying, and some of the objects were tricky to actually decode.

Thank you so much for exploring the Tomb, and for the feedback given, definitively makes me want to explore this idea further, and refine some of the mechanics.

Cool idea, and nice execution.

One thing I struggle with a bit was moving the frog after rotatiing it. Might would have been better to use WASD for movement and Arrow left / right to rotate the frog?
