Game Description
Meow Through It is a dialogue-focused experience built in Godot where you play a little wiseass trying to charm their way into a guarded city. The Ancestral Forge is the first stop for any adventurer off on a quest, but the guards at the gates want to ensure that anyone entering is not just a dull blade. They test the sharpness of anyone entering with riddles and questions, but are unprepared for the snark and general disrespect from you, the adventurer. Confuse and craze the guards to enter the city and claim the forge for your own.
How does your game tie into the theme?
The game is set at the gates of the Ancestral Forge, and the tests of the guards are meant to "forge" the blade of the player's wit.

Adorable graphics and this writing is so in my alley. Loved the guards they were so silly!! Loved the dialogue options we got they were funny as heck.
Really polished! Great main menu and pause menu. I do wish that pressing mid text scroll would lay the text out, for replays where you want to skip around! Music and sound effects give heavy Nyan cat vibes, which was low-key nostalgic.
I live read this with some irl friends and had a really great time! Speaking from experience, making a visual novel in Godot is no joke, y'all did really great! You should be proud of how this project turned out <3

Funny game with good humor, but I he theme of forge was not implemented good I think. the game was too short (only 1 scene) and choices were not that impactful. Good drawings. But the sound of "meow" was so annoying! (No offense to any cats!)
Thanks for the feedback! With more time we'd definitely add more content and also an option to adjust the meow sound haha, it's not for everyone!
That was a nice fun little distraction! I liked the hand drawn characters, the humour of the dialog and the mystery of what was behind the door. I did not enjoy the audio so much so turned it off in the end. I would have loved to have gotten to play with the forge, but maybe next time!

I laughed, and enjoyed this. Did not expect this at all. To make a more serious remark, the art style was great and very creatively done and consistent throughout. It definitely fit the vibe of this little game :D

Cute game~! The music and art style blend perfectly together. Also, the writing is super well done. If you guys do decide to continue this game, would be cool if you integrate some sort of gameplay twist into the dialogue or current text system. Right now, this plays as a visual novel; almost wish it had some sort of gameplay mechanic to make going through the story more engaging. Regardless, this is some good stuff! Keep it up!
