Ended with a score of 76880! That yippee sound caught me off-guard, really cute haha. My main feedback is that it took me a bit of effort and trial and error to understand how to play the game and how the resources relied on each other so maybe something like a tutorial or hover text would have been helpful? That being said, the music and sunlight/leaf graphics really worked well with the game and I found the tree growth satisfying (though sometimes I wished it would grow a bit more so that the placement of things on the tree could be more intentional rather than fitting things in wherever there's space)!  Awesome job with this :D

Being a bug surfing on a leaf is such a cute premise and that opening animation was a great intro! I also found the directional wind to be an interesting addition that spiced things up. Surprisingly difficult with the drift as it made input feel less immediate/precise. Great job with this!

Awesome submission! I really love the sounds and graphics in this game, in particular the sound of mushrooms popping up and the particles that the mushrooms emitted were such a nice touch :) . It wasn't clear to me if there was a way to lose but honestly didn't know if there needed to be since as is the game feels very cozy and soothing. I wasn't able to figure out how to use different mushrooms like in one of your screenshots so feel sad about missing out on that! But overall really great job and polished looking game! and if you continue working on this think it'd be really cool to see more forest wildlife/happenings occur along with the mushrooms!

Nice submission! I was surprised that the customers were so patient with me at the start cuz i was taking my sweet time while figuring things out haha. I enjoyed the gameplay loop tho wish that the drinks were available immediately after the minigames (felt like it slowed momentum to wait for the drink to be ready to give to customer). Overall though I thought that the way u used the color palette was satisfying and found the minigames and progression fun!

White kaiju animation is so cool ,, i love the pixel art in this and the short duration worked well with playing it multiple times to see the various kaijus. I kept losing tho lol. But this game was short n sweet and I had fun playing! Great job :D

Woww this game feels super polished, really impressive how much you were able to get done in the jam period! The gameplay also impressed me because tbh on the first play I didn't necessarily get it and couldn't get synergies working but something kept me wanting to try again and eventually I felt won over. I wonder if developing the tutorial a bit further and giving more time between the info cards showing up or having them be action triggered would help onboard people who onto the game quicker? I saw that you're continuing work on this and adding some exciting sounding features so looking forward to seeing how this develops if u post it in the discord! Amazing work!

Really cute mushroom game! I wish I coulda played through more of it since I liked the premise and found the gameplay engaging but kept getting the level 2 bug (tried 3 times). So curious what's causing it....

The magnetic mouse mechanic is pretty interesting! Though I found myself regretting getting the mouse upgrade because it felt like it made things less precise so potentially more difficult. I also found that as things zoomed out I found the apples and coconuts to not be super distinguishable from the red cells over time (which I could see adding difficulty intentionally, or being something you'd want to change so it's more clear to players). Overall though I still enjoyed playing this through and appreciated the clear instructions that made it very easy to start playing!

Such a cool concept! I really enjoyed how many facial expressions you included for the main character. Unfortunately i got stuck at the scamazon card part but still was impressed with the portion before that as the sticker and clicking mechanic feel very creative to me. Would be really cool to see what this looks like if you continue working on it!

It's cool to see the procedurally generated variation of trees! One thing is that I wish there was a bit more granularity to the pruning (like deciding where on the branch segment to cut) as I found myself at times wishing to keep parts of a branch. I also kept cutting the wrong branch accidentally T.T . But I think you did a great job curating a cozy environment and letting people decorate the workshop as well as picking colors for the trees as it makes it feel personal! I see a lot of potential for expanding on letting people customize their workshop and trees more, great job with this!

Cool game! My first run I started with leveling speed up and totally floundered haha. My second run though I tried starting with damage and then added cooldown and knockback and was able to level the tree up much more! I ended up successfully completing the game with a sliver of tree health left which demonstrates that the difficulty was well-calibrated (at least for my build). Main feedback I have is that the enemies were hard to see at times and that there was a way to undo upgrade allocation (as I misclicked once). But overall had a fun time with this, great job!

I tried reproducing again but not successful. I'm on chrome and I think the only thing that I might have done was press spacebar or click the screen once the intro animation ended? I figure if no one else ran into this then it could be a good chance that it's just a me issue!

Funny enough the sighs weren't intentional but rather just an artifact that was left in by greenindigoblue! haha. Thank you for playing :)

nooo i'm sorry it made u feel bad (tho I guess that was the feeling I was trying to convey so in a way so mission accomplished?). N yah it definitely feels like an approaching future for me (my friend's job has enforced 100% AI adoption which is crazy to me!). Thank you for playing, hopefully the negativity did not linger!

gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you... but in all seriousness oh no! i'm sry about stress, quite honestly I did not think much about the player experience as was absorbed in just representing how I felt (stressed and ragey) in the day i had time to work on this :'D . It's funny cuz my first jam game also wasn't very considerate of the player experience (local multiplayer that needed controllers), so I'm definitely gonna make my mission for the next jam to make something fun n playable!

Really liked the camera movement and the speed increase based off of distance which incentivized me to pay closer attention. This jam was my first time exploring shaders as well! Congrats on all the learnings :) If you do end up working on this past the game jam I think it would be so cute to see your idea of the mushroom amongst its mushroom family. This was fun!

i love games that utilize death in some lore/mechanic-relevant way. Very cool! I'd love to see how the powers/lies could be expanded upon with maybe different weapons or more abilities as the game goes on further if ya'll end up working on this after the jam. Gameplay wise I was reminded of vampire survivors and found myself wanting to play it similarly by holding down attack and just focusing on movement, but with how fast the mushrooms are in the first wave I think that wasn't the right strategy haha. Even with the dash ability unlocked I found it pretty difficult to time it so that I wouldnt get hit by the other mushrooms. Wonder if maybe a hitbox adjustment, speed increase for the main character, or a speed decrease for the mushrooms would have felt more balanced for me? (I'm also on trackpad though, n maybe could just be due to skill issue on my part). Sad I couldn't make it past the first wave, seems like there was more cool narrative to uncover, great job with this!

I was also inspired by cookie clicker haha, setting fire to leaves is a creative premise! I found it a bit difficult later in the game to avoid the enemies and wished that there was a way I could fight back or block since I quickly ended up with a zero score haha. The speed increasing and the amount of leaves though added to a chaotic-ness which I found fun :)

Pretty music :D and the game felt very polished with it's opening panning animation + title card sequence. I played on trackpad which made the zooming in and out a little difficult, and the first time I loaded up the game it froze on a leaf but wasn't able to reproduce so maybe just a browser issue. I really enjoyed the satisfying and soothing sound/color-change of chain reactions , great job with this!

I found this really fun! And love the graphics, it feels like an immersive boardgame with dithering filter. One thing that I noticed was that I could use the character sprite to somewhat block the enemies from walking further which you might want to change if you continue working on the game (or not! Could be a cool mechanic to expand on as well). I think I accidentally also upgraded one of the towers but didn't catch how much resource it took/ what the upgraded tower did so having some sort of ui to explain could be helpful! Really enjoyed this entry, great job!

the art is beautifullll , and I love the character designs and texture yall used for the main game screen. I don't think i ever really understood what resulted in a kill vs knocking away but still had fun just barreling into everything that came up on screen haha. Some music woulda definitely elevated the game but its still really cool as is! Awesome job with this :D

I really like how crisp the pixel art is! Also found the game quite enjoyable though towards the end the difficulty ramped up quite a bit for me so I wasn't able to complete all 12 rounds in my attempts :( I'll have to try again with a mouse sometime to see if I do better than trackpad. Wish I coulda gotten to the ending myself, but I like the concept of the king just expanding and facing consequence for their greed hehe. Great job with this!

Not sure if its due to the laptop I have or browser acting weird, but I found the game's window size made it difficult to play on browser as it was bigger than my screen allowed. I was still able to play but couldn't see the bottom and right sides of the game unfortunately. For actual gameplay I enjoyed the stretchy arms and trying to use the sprite to keep some leaves from falling on the ground so i'd have more time to click them (i noticed some leaves will stay in the air if they collide with the kids head). Cool game!

Irl i'm pretty afraid of spiders and bugs but the ones in this game were pretty cute :) . Curious what the likelihood is for the firefly to show up? The completionist in me stuck around for quite some time but I never ended up getting one :(

Fun game! And I'm a sucker for mushroom themes~  One thing is that I found the walking noise to get a bit intense after a while, but when trying to access settings in the browser version the button was unresponsive so heads up on a potential bug there! If you continue working on the game I think it'd also be nice if the camera was zoomed in a bit more at least at the start so players can see the character sprites more easily. Great job with this!

Very fun game I can see it being really addicting! Creative concept, and pretty fun to make weird machines. I think the progression/enemy scaling could be tweaked to make it more challenging to beat enemies. Especially in infinite mode I found that the amount of shield n marbles made it so that I never took damage. I also think it would be great to have a time speed up button once you trigger the machine as with a lot of marbles it took a long time for all the marbles to fall. Overall loved this submission a lot though and thought it was visually/conceptually/creatively stunning. Great job!

The graphics are super neat and cohesive and I liked the progression created by each level having its own palette.I also really liked the detail of the gravity being different between levels.  Personally i struggle a lot with stacking games where the blocks can tip/knock on eachother so it was nice experiencing the genre without that. I still took quite a few tries to get past the second stage lol, so for that think it would have been nice to have a level select. Cool submission!!

I really enjoyed the movement of the sprite you control, the game reminded me of a game I completely forgot about that I used to play endlessly (spore origins on the ipod classic). I thought you did a really great job of making it so there's incentive to upgrade different things as I originally thought I could just aim to be bigger than everyone but then also needed speed to balance it out.  One feedback I have is that I think it would have been nice to see what upgrades you already have and how they stack as I wasn't quite sure how that was working at times. Great job with this, I had fun playing!

Really charming game with creative upgrades :) , I was playing on trackpad and my forearm got sore by the end haha. You did a great job making the game engaging which I find really impressive for clicking incrementals (i get bored easy). I probably would have continued longer in the endless mode if my arm didn't start hurting lol

thank u :'D , i was hoping someone would comment on the main menu lol it was very cathartic to scribble  out after a long work week

omg i didn't know turbo click was a thing lol, i'm glad that my (lack of tbh) balancing thwarted that hack haha. And agree that that musta been not very satisfying to not see your final result,, I think a recap screen is a great idea, if I continue working on this will def implement one :) thanks for playing!

Really cool! was surprised by the enemy encounters and how you basically made 2 games in this one! Only feedback I have is that I wondered what it would have been like if the movement wasn't blocked by holes in the ground (like maybe the character would automatically jump over a distance of 1 hole?) since I found my flow to smtimes get disrupted by needing to navigate around holes. But enjoyed playing this and found the music pretty as well :) Great job!

This is super creative and the liminal space aesthetic + the music set the perfect tone for this premise. Found myself wishing that it was a little longer and that I could interact more with the world to learn more about it. Bringing in the theatre lighting trick is also super creative and the type of cross-media influence I love to see, super cool entry!

this was fun! also love that no one in the comments spoiled the twist because it definitely took me n my friend off guard lol.  big fan of the scarecrow animation as well i wasn't expecting to be able to move around. great job with this!

I really liked how this game prevented the stay in one place and spray tactic that I usually use for shooters haha, and also appreciated the onboarding through a tutorial! I found this game to be a really difficult test of spatial awareness (which I do not have much of lol). Not sure if intentional, but I found the scene camera's movement when changing directions to be a bit disorienting. But also the bottle shattering and clean animations made successful shots quite satisfying!

Big fan of puyo puyo tetris and liked the facial expressions the sprites had. I'm used to pressing up to have the blocks drop at an instant so the gameplay felt slowed down by waiting for the blocks to fall but still enjoyed playing! In one of my playthroughs I got lucky and was able to have all the corrupted blocks spaced away from the rest of the blocks which stopped the corruption from being able to spread :D

lol I was not at all ready for all the popcorn at the start so missed a bunch but feel like it was easy to get into it pretty quickly. Loved seeing the leaderboard and it's super cool that the music gets influenced by the player. One potential feedback I have is that I found the popcorn made it hard to follow the unpopped kernels at times, and that I thought it would be nice to have the popped popcorn visually differentiated based off how well you timed it. Then again, I'm not so familiar with the rythym game genre so maybe it's not so important to see the unpopped kernels? This was super fun though, great job!!

Woww this game is beautiful (the title screen and dithering and color palette!) and its so cool y'all recorded violin for the music. I unfortunately found myself getting motion sick after unlocking a few rooms but that's a me issue :( . Curious what inspired the magic types as they stood out as unique to me as well!

Took a sec to understand what the controls were but once figured out I enjoyed playing! I've been learning more about incremental games lately so this felt similar to that but turn-based twist which i found cool. Also appreciate the added feature of having multiple color themes as well as sizes for the game.

Found it really cool how u included docs and how you implemented hacking! For most of the agents I ended up just removing the lookfor to get around them. The way that the aggro agents can get you while ur hacking made the game pretty difficult for me, but i also found it interesting! Great job with this :D
