How this game only has 11 ratings at the time of rating this is insane to me. I actually think this is one of the better games I've played this game jam. The colour palette and audio give it such a calming vibe and I didn't realise how quickly time passed whilst playing this which is a major positive for this game. The synergies between ideas were incredibly cool too, the UI was super intuitive and it all felt really polished all together. I would absolutely love to see this get a post jam version in the future. I think I managed to get to turn 12 before being exposed as a low IQ FRAUD LMAO

Incredibly good submission honestly, great job on this

Ahaha thank you for trying the game! I'm really glad you enjoyed it :) I think the feds must have noticed something suspicious when 188 wingmen came storming out of a small pizzeria like a clown car! LMAO

You're welcome! And I'm glad you managed to get it implemented in the end, it was definitely worth those 3-4 days!

Thank you!

It's only up from here! Keep up the grind and I'm sure you'll keep getting better and better with every jam. The way I see it, as long as you're able to come out of a jam learning something, then the jam was successful no matter what ratings you get! I hope to see you joining more jams in the future :)

Well now I feel like an idiot for not thinking of clicking it LMAO, I guess that's what I get for playing it at 2am

Satisfying, polished, visually appealing, great theme execution, REALLY good user feedback on the clicking and sounds. This was such a clean game that I have no notes LMAO, just an overall great submission. This one really tickled by brain nicely

Edit: I got the trophy, 10/10

The art is so cute in this game, collecting those bugs was an absolute treat (for me and the spider) and the web building mechanic was actually really smooth and there was no problem with it at all. The hitboxes were a bit brutal at times and the spawns were a bit unforgiving in the early game but luckily that isn't something that causes you to fail the game so after a few rounds and a bit of time getting things prepared, you start catching them in no time!

Really good submission, great amounts of polish and it looks amazing, the audio complimented it really well too!

This was one of those games that were REALLY easy to pick up straight away and keep playing, really satisfying to play and really cute too. The characters were adorable and I almost felt bad making them basically explode LMAO. The core loop is really refined but I think after a while it felt a little *too* easy and I would've liked it if the corruption posed more of a threat to the player!

Overall, really solid submission!!

I loved the aesthetic of this game, it has a good progression to it too, it feels like you're building up slowly and still lets you be interactive with the world which is cool! The village in particular feels really well polished. Overall this was a really solid submission and was quite enjoyable to play :)

Honestly quite a cute little incremental game! I am a bit unsure on what the research lab does personally since I placed it and it never really seemed to do much and I ended up getting soft locked towards the end but other than that it was a cute little game :)

A pretty cool concept, it definitely gives me the vibes of agar.io and similar games and I feel like you've nailed that vibe. I did find it a little difficult to tell what was going on visually at times and the clutter made it hard to keep on top of things and dodge enemies but I started to get a hang of it. The upgrades were also pretty cool and actually done quite well, once you get into the mid game it definitely ramps up and becomes a bit easier but that early game was brutal for me and I was skill issuing a LOT LMAO

I like the idea of this one, I also like how expanding your mushroom is also a way of increasing difficulty due to it being easy to get caught. I did have some times where it felt like my hitbox was being hit when I wasn't visibly able to be hit but other than that, it was a cute little game and a nice take on the theme :)

This game was absolutely gorgeous, the art was amazing, the music and audio fit the game perfectly too. As far as jams with the wild card, I think this is my favourite of the "cozy vibes" wildcard, you absolutely nailed the vibes. The movement was a little floaty and I got caught on the doors a bit but that didn't take away from how beautiful this game looked and felt. I also loved the expansion of the building tying in the theme, this submission was a genuine treat :)

This was actually a pretty interesting take on the theme and it's genuinely really cool to see games which have a narrative focus to them, that's something you don't see all that often in game jams. As others mentioned, I also abused the spikes method a bit and used that to my advantage quite a bit due to struggling with the hitboxes a fair amount.

Despite that though, I think you did a great job of taking a unique approach to the theme and put some effort into getting some narrative points in there and I do agree with frinkly about their points about why people may have missed the theme incorporation and I'm honestly really glad to see you taking the feedback well, that's honestly the most important part of a game jam :) I'll keep my eye on this for a future post jam update and see how you expand on this!

Honestly this was actually a really cool take on the theme and it was silly in all the right ways LMAO I actually had a decent bit of fun playing it, although I admit I did struggle with handing them their drinks! I think this game has a lot of room for expansion and I'd love to see a post jam version of this game since I think it could be a lot of fun.

The art style was really cute and the sound effects were also pretty charming, even if I heard the breaking sound a bunch (skill issue on my end).

Good submission!!

Really enjoyed this game's vibes, from the art to the music. I was little confused at first at what I was doing but I started to understand it more and more with each night and it ended with an overall pretty vibey experience. The animal animations of them going around your world were really well done too, it really brought some life to the world and made you feel like you were expanding it!

Some of the icons were a bit difficult to make out in the shop but that is nothing which a fullscreen or zooming in on my end can fix! The actual combat was surprising and I didn't expect it but it was actually pretty cool to see :)

Good submission overall!

Thank you for the feedback, I was originally wanting to get some sort of explanations in for the effects so there was less guessing on what they were doing but sadly I didn't get the abilities implemented until later into the deadline and had to focus on some other areas to get things up and running. However, if we do a post jam version, we will 100% be adding some descriptions in and also messing around with some stuff to smooth the gameplay and make things fit together more nicely so we'll take your feedback into consideration!!

Thanks for trying the game out <3

Thank you!!

Thank you! I think we're all doing considerably better now after some rest LMAO, I know I do especially. The suspicion keeps climbing the longer you have wingmen assigned to a building, we wanted to make it so you had to manage your wingmen more and take them out of businesses to "lay low" and reduce suspicion :) I'm glad you enjoyed it though!!

I'm really glad you enjoyed it! I've got to give fragskye all of the credit for the audio, she got those in on a tight schedule towards the end and I genuinely think it made SUCH a difference in the game and I'm so glad we managed to get the sounds in. Thank you for your kind words <3

Thank you again for your kind words <3

100% agreed, having someone show genuine enjoyment for something you've created is one of the best feelings you can ever get from a jam without a doubt

Thank you so much! LMAO I’m sure the pigeon mafia will be making another return in the near future

I swear we were sure we patched this because we were able to do this in the test build but somehow this miraculously came back LMAO thank you for giving the game a try though :)

I really look forward to seeing that!

LMAO checked this thread out and it's a "real recognising real" moment, great submissions from both of you btw!

You're welcome!

Yeah trying to work with a limited colour palette is always going to be difficult at times but despite this, I do think you did a pretty good job with it :) It's no easy feet but you can still tell the player apart decently well!

This was actually a really cool approach to the theme and I had a decent bit of fun playing against my friend (had to play through screenshare but basically the same thing!). The game feel overall was quite good, the music and audio is very fitting and it's a simple concept but you executed it really well. As others have mentioned, the decisions basically all being RNG can be very hit or miss but despite this, I think you've still managed to make it feel quite good!

Genuinely quite interested to see a bit more from this game in the future :) good submission!

Honestly a cool little game! I think it was an interesting take on the theme which was cool to see, the audio was quite well tied in with the game too!

One thing I noticed was the player sprite did blend in a little with the background and I think it could've been cool to make them pop out a bit more and the limited firing angle was a cool idea but in practice was a bit jarring to play with but not in a way that made the game unfun at all!

Overall a pretty good submission, congrats on your first GWJ! Hope to see you around more :)

Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm very happy with how this turned out, the team put their all into this in the final 24 hours and i'm glad it paid off LMAO

Hoping to get a post jam version out at some point once it's convenient for all of us :)

I would’ve loved to have gotten in a menu that shows what the abilities did but I sadly got the abilities in last second sadly! That’s definitely something we’ll add in a post jam version if we proceed ;) also the house always wins has a 50/50 chance to add 5% of your total money or take it away :) wish I made it more impactful!

thanks so much for your feedback and for trying the game <3

Those pesky FBI sure can catch you fast if you’re not careful! Thank you for giving it a shot

that would be cool!

As mentioned before, a fullscreen button would've been great since I felt like I had to get close and the greens mixing with each other would mess with my mild colourblindness. Other than that, I think it's a cute little game and is an interesting take on the theme :)

Very cute and honestly a pretty interesting take on the platformer side of this theme. As someone mentioned before, the coyote jump time could be better but this is your first platformer so the only way is up from here :) great job

You're very welcome!

However, I have come back to claim my world record

You're welcome!

This was so cute, I loved playing this and it's such a cool thing seeing procedural animations added in, that's not something you see every day in a game jam game! This has me curious though, how much of the jam did you spend getting the movement to where you wanted it to be? I can't imagine that was easy LMAO. Great submission overall though :)

Thank you for giving our game a try! I think in a future post jam version we may work on, balancing is going to be a main priority of ours to make sure we give this game even more justice :) The art was thanks to my incredible teammates, they absolutely knocked it out of the park and helped me a lot with the gameplay side too!

I'm glad people love the bird puns, they were one of my favourite parts LMAO, thank you again for your feedback and trying the game <3
