How does the game fit the theme?
It is a roulette with biscuits, you risk getting stoned by eating them.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
I used a template: https://github.com/bushmin/Godot-4.4-gamejam-template
Also a few sounds from: gamesounds.xyz (sonniss.com + kenney's sound pack)
Everything else was made by me during the jam week

Very good theme fit, and quite entertaining. Had to play a couple of rounds before i won :D
I also liked the drawings and artstyle a lot, a bit more stuff happening visually would help, e.g. some particles or a more engaging background.
Great job tho, really liked it!

Great job fitting the theme super well. One thing that surprised me that I really liked was the menu flicking through the pages to show the item. Great work and well done!
Very original idea and mechanic!
I enjoyed the artstyle, maybe you get to unlock different chromas like in downwell.
A fun game with very pink aesthetics :) The gameplay is innovative and works well. I didn't understand some things though: what happens when the handle falls into an empty slice? I think it take the nearest item? I didn't understand how the oracle is working too. And the menu transition was a bit slow to quickly read the effects of all items.
Congrats anyway, it's a great entry!
First of all, thanks for choosing my game over Silksong!
Thanks for the detailed feedback! Empty slice resolves to the next one clockwise, there supposed to be arrows under biscuits to tell it to the player, but i removed them to rework them and then didn't have time to put it back 馃槄.
Oracle might be not clearly described i guess, it shows you two possible locations where arrow will land next. One of them is true and another is false. The idea is to not make it 100% certain in most cases to make gameplay a bit more interesting, not sure if it helps though.
And guilty as charged, menu is totally too slow, sorry about that.
I had a problem reading the menu, I couldn't read the information, so it was a little confusing, but I understood it by playing a little more and I thought it was really cool, it was a good work
Thanks for playing my game instead of Silksong! :)
I've heard that menu is kinda slow from a lot of people, could you say more specifically what troubles did you have with it?

I recorded a video of what happens, I only have an integrated video card on my motherboard, I don't know if there is any relation because it is weaker
Interesting idea the first time i played i won so quick i didnt even know what happened and then i went into a long intense battle with the cpu lol overall good job i felt like you had a good variety of objects for making it in a week
Yup, i was kinda procrastinating instead of drawing so there still some godot icons in the game, hehe
Also it's true that sometimes you or your opponent get lucky and win no matter what, i didn't really get to the good balance with it.
Nice game! At first i didn't understand it because of a visual glitch that made it imposible to read the info. I restarted and it fixed so finally I could play it. It was nice and I think it's an interesting version of the russian roullete, converted to a nice videogame. Very fitting for the jam, nice work!
Thanks a lot, i am glad to hear that!
Regarding the glitch, do you think that this is something i can likely fix or some weirdness from itch?
Very cool concept, it's simple but it's a great twist onto regular wheel spinning (idk the official name for it lol). Of course as of the moment for the jam there aren't too many things the wheel can land on but it's already very interesting as is! It goes without saying but the book flipping to see what each thing does is so cool, what an excellent detail! The art is also very pleasant to look at! Very cool game, really good job!
Thank you! It鈥檚 very cool that many people mention the menu because i put a lot of effort into it and it seems it paid off
Nice work, it was fun! I liked the color scheme and the 3D look on the book and toggle. The book was cool but maybe could have animated a bit faster if you were going multiple pages. It was a bit of a wait in some cases.
Thanks! You are right the menu should've been faster when going through multiple pages, i guess there is a bug there.
Cool idea, the art is nice. Though I did find the game a bit frustrating, as it is still mostly just chance, but I was more confused when the arrow hit an empty spot and it did something, I think that needed to be more clear out, as it is an interesting feature and open room for some small strategies.
Overall pretty cool game!
Thanks! Yes, I wanted to show
errorsarrows in empty spaces to tell what is going to happen, but forgot about that until the last minute 馃槵upd: arrows not errors 馃槄
Nice concept, I think the monochromatic color scheme works well! For some reason I unfortunately can't see the whole screen at the same time, not sure if that's just a problem on my end but it made gameplay a bit difficult. Other than that, well done!
Thanks! I think the game sizing was issue with my configuration of game page on itch. I updated it to show fullscreen button now, i would really appreciate if you could recheck now.
Awesome, just played it again and the screen works properly now! Great work!
I'm glad to hear that, thanks for testing it!
I like the animations. The menu is fun to flip through. I played around with it a bunch. It's a nice way to present a legend. The monochromatic colors pulls it all together. It's fun for a few rounds. Would be a fun minigame.
Thanks a lot!
I liked the notebook animation. Funny meme-game concept
In hindsight I regret going for the notebook a bit, as I spent a day doing it and did not finish the core parts. Although it was really fun, there are like 7 layers of pages and springs to fake the 3d
Thanks a lot for your words!
interesting!!
thanks!
Really interesting mini game! A little confusing at the beginning but after that it's all good. I played for serval rounds and I think I do like this!
I feel you, the tutorial & some introduction are totally needed. I'll try to prioritise them higher next time :)
I love the unique spin that wedges sort of get larger when the options behind them have been removed. Makes me think twice about whether its safe to risk it vs just mashing the button.
Yup, I wanted to leverage it to differentiate from russian roulette games (with actual bullets in a gun). There should've been arrows to show this to the player but i ran out of time :(
Nice consistent style! It looks great.
Thanks! I wish i had time to replace the last few godot icons 馃槄
What a great jam game! Simple to understand and enjoy. Pleasant sound & music. Nice work!
Thanks a lot!
