How does the game fit the theme?
"Biscuit" is a common slang word for a hockey puck. In this game, you use your hockey skills to fight your way to recover the special "golden biscuit" for your brother.

I was pleasantly surprised by how well made the game actually is! Love the smoothness of the dialogue animations, the sound design when you finish parts of the tutorial, and overall how the game feels. Just one thing, please let me see the entire sentence when i press the dialogue key first before skipping it :D Keep up the good work!!
I loved the joke about how this aint a video game. lol
very creative. the song was very relaxing
Very good entry! Even using assets you tied them together really nicely and made a solid game out of it. The narrative was good fun, it was really well tutorialized, and it had a really cohesive and good art direction. Great job, especially solo!
Great quick game! Loved the cute visuals and the controls felt very natural to control, I just wished it was a little bit longer :)
This is a perfect jam game! That tutorial is 100/10!
I now understand that i completely forgot about dodging but that's on me being fish.
Also i have to say pucks sliding and colliding felt really natural, great job!
The reload sound killed me, this is a charming and fun game :D
This is probably the best game ive played so far! I loved the visuals, it gave a Nintendo DS vibe which is epic. Good job!
Thanks, I really appreciate it! That's funny, I made a game called Flog as well for a GMTK game jam a couple of years ago with the theme "Roles Reversed".
This has gotta be one of the most polished and charming entries I've played, I was grinning the whole time I was playing. It's really made me want to look into 3D games in godot cos this game has such a nice look and feel to it. The sound when you hit a slapshot is excellent. The game was maybe a little easy but as a demo this has got me hooked. I'd love to see if you make this into a bigger project. Awesome work, well done!
Thanks! I was pretty happy with how the look turned out. Pretty easy in Godot just throwing a bunch of AnimatedSprite3Ds with billboarding in there.
The mechanics implemented in the game are great. It’s really fun and very well polished!
Highly polished! Just a bit short. I especially love the sound effect used to indicate successful actions—in the tutorial section, it even blends into the background music seamlessly!
This is a really well made game. I had a lot of fun playing. I really wish there was more 😊 I'll give this 10/10 ❤️
Thanks, I appreciate it! I had hoped to do a bit more of a level and a proper boss fight, but just ran out of time.
This was really fun and well made.. I won't lie though, I was kind of hoping it was going to be a hockey game after playing the tutorial - but nice job! Slapping pucks at beavers is also fun :-)
Thanks! Haha yeah I suppose it's a bit of a let down if you were looking to play hockey. Maybe I'll have to play around with doing something more in that direction with what I have built some day.
I had a lot of fun playing your game. It felt really polished and well-designed. The dialogue was good and funny too. I wish there were more to do, since the game was so much fun.
Some issues and suggestions I have are removing the quit buttons, since they kinda just freeze the game, and you have to refresh the page. Additionally, the button to return to the main menu doesn’t work.
Love it! Great work with the hockey pucks. The physics works really well and allow for ricochet hits on other beavers which I thought was a great touch - intended or not! The drift on the ice skating felt really natural as well. I think you could add a hit animation or knockback effect to add to the overall game feel but apart from that it was great!
Great game! Even though I’ve never played hockey before, this was really fun to play! Shooting hockey pucks like bullets made me laugh, haha XD. I think it would be even better with a bit more guidance—at first I didn’t realize I had to pass through the cones to complete the tutorial.
( Edit: I played again and noticed the dialogue actually tells me to do it)
I've never like sport games but I enjoyed this. Nice work.
Really solid game! I like the sound design during the tutorial section for achieving the steps. It took me a second to figure out the reload, but that's more on me. I also love that you have a whole story developed for why you need to get the golden biscuit. I hope you plan to develop more levels in the future. Well done!
Thanks! There's a pretty simple bit of math to adjust pitch to play notes of a major scale, which I thought worked out well there: https://godotforums.org/d/28197-what-s-the-formula-to-change-audioeffectpitchshi...
I definitely could have used a little instruction around reloading and picking up pucks to get ammo back, but ran out of time.
Oh awesome! That's very helpful!
Damn I really like this! And the whole tutorial was really good! How did you set it up in just a week!?? Also the ice physics was really satisfying, skating alone was a ton of fun!! Conrats on the jam! :D
Thanks! I was off work last week so I put way too much time into this one.
