The firepower is definitely a bit too low towards the start. The idea was that you slowly upgrade it as you progress.
I'll increase it after the jam :)

Recommended Upgrades:

- At the start of level 2: Upgrade bullet damage will one shot all enemies

- level 3 & 4: Prefer bullet damage, enemy will drop reload speed upgrade

- level 5: Prefer reload speed + bullet damage, enemy drops lots of biscuits + health, so you can upgrade anything :)

This is a really well made game. I had a lot of fun playing. I really wish there was more 😊 I'll give this 10/10 ❤️

Initially, I couldn't figure out how to climb the stairs. You have to be near the edge of the stairs when pressing the key to go up and down the stairs.

I really wanted to add base upgrades and weapons. I ran out of time unfortunately. The upgrades are saved across levels, yes.

Thanks for playing. Sorry that you had a bad experience playing my game.
It was raining heavily here and I didn't have electricity during the submission day so I couldn't patch the bugs that were remaining.
I have fixed the bugs which caused the default enemy to spawn in all levels, and caused the spawners to exceed the max alive limit. I've added Esc key to close the upgrade menu ;)

I'd appreciate it if you could give it another try. I hope you have fun this time :)
