Pretty cool game.

I didn't get that you need to get a quest at first and just wandered around for a few minutes. Also it's kind of gets boring because there are not much things to do and avoiding zombies is .. not easy, but also not really challenging? like you can stumble on them if you forget to circle around, but otherwise you are fine. I think it works better in games  like P. Zomboid because you can hear zombies approaching (and also see in a small circle around you).

Anyways, very cohesive game and nice rpg elements!

Thanks for playing my game instead of Silksong! :)

I've heard that menu is kinda slow from a lot of people, could you say more specifically what troubles did you have with it?

(1 edit)

This is so funny, i love it!
My ideas for improvement, although it's very good experience as it is :

- ads move and open a new tab when you misclick on close button

- may be you need to go through a few links to find the button, and there are troubles with biscuits on each jump

- at the end of the game i kind of remembered where the button is for each site type, i guess you could place it between random paragraphs

First of all, thanks for choosing my game over Silksong!

Thanks for the detailed feedback! Empty slice resolves to the next one clockwise, there supposed to be arrows under biscuits to tell it to the player, but i removed them to rework them and then didn't have time to put it back 😅.

Oracle might be not clearly described i guess, it shows you two possible locations where arrow will land next. One of them is true and another is false. The idea is to not make it 100% certain in most cases to make gameplay a bit more interesting, not sure if it helps though.

And guilty as charged, menu is totally too slow, sorry about that.

Great minds think alike!

Nice atmosphere and art!

From what i learnt myself making my buckshot roulette inspired one:

- you need to get some advantage for risking to eat a cookie yourself. in BR it's that you get another turn. Otherwise it is always better to give cookie to the opponent.

- the game falls apart quickly without the items, but i guess you know that and like just had to cut things short because of the jam

- smaller batch sizes give more interesting play without any items (like 3/2 instead of 6/6)

Anyways, great work!

Thanks a lot!

Yup, i was kinda procrastinating instead of drawing so there still some godot icons in the game, hehe
Also it's true that sometimes you or your opponent get lucky and win no matter what, i didn't really get to the good balance with it.

Awesome cutscenes! The downside is that it is a bit underwhelming when a game with such cool voiceover has no in game sounds at all :)

I am not sure how i escaped since i found the key in the first few seconds but it didn't work on the gate. Then i tried to open the chest using time on the other tower (although it was like 09:7.5, so not sure  what it meant) - it didn't do anything either. I started jumping around and  after not finding anything tried the gates again standing on a shelf and it worked. Anyways, I had fun and that's all that matters

Thanks! You are right the menu should've been faster when going through multiple pages, i guess there is a bug there.

This is a perfect jam game! That tutorial is 100/10!
I now understand that i completely forgot about dodging but that's on me being fish.

Also i have to say pucks sliding and colliding felt really natural, great job!

Thank you! It’s very cool that many people mention the menu because i put a lot of effort into it and it seems it paid off

Thanks a lot, i am glad to hear that!

Regarding the glitch, do you think that this is something i can likely fix or some weirdness from itch?

Fun game. I liked shooting around. I think having enemies chill for a bit if you killed the wave off would be really beneficial to the gameplay. I wasn't really able to fend them off even with upgrades because there are just too many and they are faster then the player's ship.

Very cute and betting limbs is funny!

I must say though, i was really frustrated at the second level (i do suck at parcour in 3d games though). The camera clipping inside the walls exactly when you need it most also does not help tbh.

Still, good jam game!

I can't git gut at this for the life of me, but i love the music and aesthetics, as well as the main mechanic!

I'm glad to hear that, thanks for testing it!

In the name of the Addicted Kin, I call you out, o twisted creators! This game has no connection with RNGesus! I have been witness! When you reach the height of 20k$ we all so dearly desire, misfortune falls on you every time! There is no other reason, but UNHOLY code pulling the strings of fate!

Excellent idea and execution, i had lots of fun!

P.S. +1 on store bug i can't buy things even though i have money

Very cool! Matching the same sides to unlock additional card effects is a smart idea that allows for quite interesting play, especially when you also have negative sides. I think it would be a little bit more engaging if there were more matches, as right now they are rare and I could always avoid them.

The overall theme choice and music are top tier!

One more thing: asking to press any button to continue breaks the flow a bit because you can play only with your mouse otherwise.

Thanks a lot!

Wow, very cool implementation with transparent background! I wonder how does this work, is every cat a separate window?

Also, umm.. i am traumatised now, i didn't really need those points, they are just numbers anyway...

Thanks! I think the game sizing was issue with my configuration of game page on itch. I updated it to show fullscreen button now, i would really appreciate if you could recheck now.

Thanks! Yes, I wanted to show errors arrows in empty spaces to tell what is going to happen, but forgot about that until the last minute 😬

upd: arrows not errors 😅

+1 for Dome Keeper vibes, you nailed the creepy church feel as well!

Not sure why you locked the rotation to keys in the labyrinth instead of free camera like in church. I also had trouble trying to get on the canon, as pressing E works only if you stand in a specific spot.

Nice concept! I really expected multipliers to stack though, i don't think you can win the dealer like this (though that might be the point and a good one!).

Fun game! I really liked the music. You can breeze through the level after a few tries which feels great, i wish you had more levels :)  I might be imagining but i see noita quite clearly between the lines, haha

This is such a great concept! If you can solve just a few things you can go a long way with it:

1. looking up cards breaks the flow because you need to click and scroll. It also makes sense add filters by cover and sort them, but i wouldn't say those solve the main problem. May be you can just use the rest of the screen (top right) to show which cards are there, pre-filtered by the cover? although if you make it too simple game will feel boring

2. sometimes there are streaks of increasing cards and you can't get anything from correctly guessing them. I am less sure if this one is actually a problem, but it feels to me that you need some reward

3. you gain too much cards and it slows down the pace as well as just make things more confusing because of no sorting

4. music is repetitive, but i guess it's a jam thing

And i must say I absolutely adore the idea of letting the player to figure out that they can use different covers to their advantage to identify (but usually still not be sure) which card is next!

In hindsight I regret going for the notebook a bit, as I spent a day doing it and did not finish the core parts. Although it was really fun, there are like 7 layers of pages and springs to fake the 3d

Thanks a lot for your words!

thanks!

I feel you, the tutorial & some introduction are totally needed. I'll try to prioritise them higher next time :)

Yup, I wanted to leverage it to differentiate from russian roulette games (with actual bullets in a gun). There should've been arrows to show this to the player but i ran out of time :(

Thanks! I wish i had time to replace the last few godot icons 😅

i guess you can die easily in the early game, but if you manage to plant the whole island i don't think the volcano stands no chance at wiping you out completely, as you have a lot of backup plants. I'll be following for the updates!

Quite fun and satisfying to fly around. The online highscores are very fitting for such games, good job!

Very good experience, I also made a roulette game but i never thought to to place bad items on it if you hit empty cells, that is smart! The background water sounds and slow music are really adding to the unsafe atmosphere.

Once you understand that you can't loose anything unless you have 2 bad omen's already, it gets a bit slow because you can just spam fishing (and use magnet once).

Great art and animations, very atmospheric. It was a bit slow paced for me (especially once you start over), but that's completely alright for such cozy and relaxing game. King's comments are quite cool too

I enjoyed the game, although it seems it's quite hard to lose as you just go back to one population and then bounce back. You can probably add some end-goal like inventing boats so experience is more complete :)

I think it would be quite cool to let it play on it's own, watching endless rise & fall of island civilisation :)

"i don't wanna do dishes no more" killed me :)
I think for me it bugged a bit and the guy was always standing under the cookie, so eating was the same every time. Nevertheless, funny art and perfect voice over!

Nice game, I almost got to your record (mine is 70). I think sometimes you get unlucky and there is no chance of dodging. Also there is a small issue with not registering movement keys when you quickly change directions (need to let the key up and then press it again to start moving).

Very good game on all aspects! I am writing down to try creased paper texture backgrounds sometime in the future.
