A short and sweet experience! The artwork is very nice, I really like how selecting certain objects would change them like the christmas lights lighting up! It's a nice cozy atmosphere despite the psychosis parts.  I like how the story is handled bit by bit (even if it was a little tricky at times to find what would progress the story). The ending did feel a little abrupt but it still ended on a positive note! But seriously, very nice vibe, the subtle snow and curtain animation and the room layout was very pleasant to go alongside the story! Great work!

Pretty cool game! I liked the environment quite a lot! While I was a bit confused as to what I was supposed to do, it was pretty cool figuring it out slowly, I especially liked the tree puzzle! I think it would've been nice to be a bit more direct about what you're supposed to do but I still think it's pretty good, I felt clever solving the puzzles and that's what matters most! Great work!

Incredibly impressive! I  gotta say I have no clue how you did the movement and get the world the way it is, this is seriously impressive! I wasn't expecting the art to be so well made either but it's really good including the animations! I really love how the tutorial controls were actual in game objects you could push around, such a fun idea! You've got some really cool stuff here, a full game using these mechanics would undoubtedly be awesome! Excellent work!

I legit don't know what to say I'm so happy!! I'm glad you enjoyed my dumb sense of humor lol, I really had no clue if this would be the sort of style you'd like but I followed my gut and I'm glad it payed off! Archie was the highlight of the project for sure,from his sprite (goldendoodles aren't easy to make art wise lol) to his dialogue. I had hoped based of your letter you'd enjoy a story and I tried to tell something based of past personal experience (don't worry my house was never flipped irl). Glad you enjoyed the audio, I didn't expect to make a small game soundtrack this project but it was a lot of fun, for some info the talking sfx for the player is a piano, the angry face people is a tuba and Archie is a banjo. Super happy to hear it runs well! When I first read your letter I was pretty confident until you mentioned the laptop XD. I'm really super happy you enjoyed, it really made it all very worth it :D

This is such a nice game! Fantastic aesthetic, even down to this itch page! The bug catching is simple but smart, I've surprisingly not seen another minigame like it. one of my favorite details was walking into a tree and then the leaf particles that spawned were the correct color of the tree! It goes without saying, but the artwork (including UI) is just really nice and the UX is very nice as well! This is a really solid game, I do think it would've been nice to be able to display bugs as decorations, but that's all I could think of as a suggestion, awesome work!

Super fun game! Solid movement and an impressive leaderboard system! The music adds quite a lot to the fast pace and is just a fun bop while trying to save time each run. I didn't expect I'd like this so much but it's just fun!

I gotta say, this is still pretty cool! I actually really love the vibe, art style and music! In my letter I said I liked strong vibes and you delivered on that for sure! There's not much of a game but there's an interesting concept you've put out, it took me quite while to figure out the layer switching (as it's a little buggy) but once I got it I liked the concept quite a lot! I'm honestly impressed at how you managed to make a vibe the clicked with my instantly. Great work even if it isn't a full game, this still made me happy!

Wow, this is gorgeous! I always love awe inspiring environments in games and this nails it! Your skill with lighting is incredible! What amazes me is how most of the models seem quite simple and often being basic shapes yet the lighting just makes them so pretty! The slight movement of all the grass and leaves is very nice and alongside the particles really give life to the scene! Of course the level design is also what carries the scene and it's so well made! I'm excited to see what things you'll make in the future should you pickup more gamedev skills to go alongside your environments! Fantastic work!

This was definitely a fun one to make as it was pretty goofy in tone! While incredibly stressful to get everything done in time I'd say I managed to put out the product I wanted to this time round. 

The last day I had to do the music, sfx and environment (and MANY bug fixes) so thankfully the music ended up being a bop!

The notepad was pretty cool too, inspired by the DS legend of zelda games, thankfully wasn't too hard to implement!


All in all I'm proud of this game and happy so many people like it! Big thanks for playing this, and I'm glad you enjoyed as well :D

What an awesome game! While simple in gameplay it is really effective. God those visuals though, incredible. The lighting and fog are so good as well, I was really sold when the night became darker though, I thought it was going back to day but no, it just got pitch black. And then I died and saw there was an upgrade system which was also really cool! I'm amazed at how strong the vibe of this game is in such little time. Amazing work!

Wow, this is so good! I absolutely love the visuals of this game, there's so much life in it! Movement is great too, the abilities were pretty nice as well! Really great level design, the backtracking was perfect and at no point was I lost or confused. The music is just incredible though, It has so much variety in one track and is really magical, excellent work on that! Seriously though the visuals were incredible but with the context of the jam it's incredible they were made in such little time! Just fantastic work!

Really awesome game! The highlight is obviously the art, just wow! While it's of course based off of Rain World it has it's own vibe too. I love the characters and their designs, especially the sound effects for when talking to them and then leaving a conversation and it sounds like they said "Bye Bye!". The item collecting was fun and I love how they all had story information, but the fact that they appear on the character took a while for me to notice but wow that was cool to realize! The story is very cool too, again being mostly based off of Rain World but it feels like maybe Soma and Nine Sols may have been some inspirations? The movement is pretty cool too, while it needs some polish there's some fun ideas in the bouncing!The true ascend ending was cool and it's also cool you did the artwork similarly to rain world endings! It was also cool how you had zones for the camera to zoom out and have a grand view of everything. Fantastic work, I couldn't imagine how you did all that art, just wow!

This game is sick! As a big fan of the game Stray this made me very happy! The environment is really good and very well textured! Wasn't expecting the dialogue but it's certainly welcome, and the "boss fight" made me chuckle! The movement was pretty fun too and as the level design was well thought out it made going through an enjoyable experience! Really awesome game, excellent work!

I didn't make it clear enough in game but thematically: where everyone at the party is dressed up (at least in color) as a skeleton or ghost you actually go all the way and die and become a skeleton and ghost, I was gonna get some sound effects to make it clearer but I didn't have time lol. Thanks for letting me know the game ran fine though!

Thank you! The dialogue speed (and dialogue box appearing) can be sped up in the settings but it is quite out of the way, I definitely could of made it easier to find and maybe part of the dialogue box instead of in the settings, still though, glad you enjoyed the overall experience :D

WOW! This game is super good! I really love the aesthetic of the art, the environment is super pretty and the portrait art is really nice too, but WOW, those pixel art movement animations are so smooth, I love it! The puzzles are really fun too, they're just the right difficulty for me to enjoy them but not completely fry my brain which is nice! The movement is also pretty nice, but I feel as though that's more down to the very smart level design! This is really good, awesome work!

Yeah that's completely valid, sadly I couldn't get the extra mechanics in the would've made the theme work a little better, but at least you still liked the rest, thanks :D

But the idea of how the theme makes sense is, when you change costume you die and become a skeleton, then a ghost and can ask questions to people who will give better answers. Not particularly great but it's the idea lol.

While not a genre I'd typically play this was pretty fun! First of all the art is really nice, characters have such a unique style which is very cool but the backgrounds are super nice as well and really have a vibe! All the dialogue is actually pretty fun and I had a good few chuckles! The multiple choice options were very nice too. Very fun game, great work!

Man, this one is really excellent, but wow is it tricky, I'll admit, I could not beat stage 7 and 9 lol. But every puzzle was extremely cool! The sprite work for the environment and characters was very nice too! But by far the coolest thing was the different character's unique abilities and interactions, while I've seen many games with the mechanic of leaving a body when dying this really separates itself from the rest , I don't want to spoil anything in case someone reads this before playing but just wow some of the things you can do! These puzzles are really something else! Fantastic work, this really slaps, one of the best puzzle games I've seen, even outside of jams!

A pretty cool game! First of all, WOW, incredible art, every character portrait looks soo good! The textboxes are so stylish too, also the battle environment is super nice looking as well! Music is pretty good too! The general concept of the gameplay is pretty interesting, the face down card adds both a lot more and a lot less strategy lol. While I reached Death twice, both times I died to them, it was bit too hard for me, though yeah it was probably a skill issue lol. Also when a card dies during the Death fight they have 0 hp in your hand but you can still place them and they count as taking up a spot, so when you place two of them the game is just stuck (though it doesn't matter too much as I was already guaranteed to lose lol). Still though, a fun game for sure, the combat system is an interesting one and I like the existing variety of cards! Excellent work!

I gotta say, this might be the most fun game I've played this jam, it's a simple game loop but man is it really fun, at first I didn't quite get but once I realized killing demons gives you a zoomed in perceptive it started to click, this is a really well balanced game where you want to make sure you get as much done with finding all your targets, getting projectiles and killing the demons but it's also not stressful at all and very fun, the combat is basic but also fun in trying to be as efficient as possible with projectiles and weapon swings the moment the cooldown is over for it. I just really enjoyed this. Excellent work, this was super fun!

I tried to get the non scared ones but then missed and they ran away lol, I may just not be good at murdering people, I'll stick to gamedev after all

A very cool game! The visuals are very nice, especially the flobs! I really love the flowers and how they animate, the detail of the flobs having footsteps which actually rotate the right way is very cool too! UI is solid, late game screen effects too! I also like the story aspect too, definitely a creative one! I do think during the second half of the game the other flobs could maybe be a bit slower as they're REALLY good at avoiding you. Still though,  got the grandpa ending which was also nice! A really good game, excellent work!

Really loved the vibe of this game! Very nice visual style and I love the design of the ghosts and all their face expressions! The mechanic of switching realms is really cool as well, plus the animation for it is really stylish too! The dialogue is very charming and got a few chuckles out of me lol. I really liked how wholesome it was at the end too :D

The only issue is sensitivity as others have mentioned. Otherwise a really solid game, awesome work!

Very cool! Goes without saying but the visuals are fantastic and it's a great atmosphere! The few jumpscare-ish moments were pretty good, thankfully I was able to predict most of them otherwise I would've had to quit the game in fear lol. Really awesome work, this was very fun!

Man, this was really scary o.o

I managed to get 5 of the Echo Notes but it took 30 minutes cause I was hiding for so long lol. I've seen Lidar games before and this is just as cool, the concept of switching between views is very cool, thankfully for my heart I never saw Popeye but the lurker found me in my hiding spot. The map was maybe a bit too big, I think it would've been cool to have a way to know which general direction you should go in to find the next Echo Note. I also got a bug where I couldn't use the burst scan with right click which did not help my stress lol. Overall a solid game though, excellent work!

What an awesome game! I think this is by far the smartest use of the theme! The world really feels alive and dynamic while also being full of charm, the chickens are such a funny idea of getting tutorial info and I love them. I bet this would be great for a full release, it would be nice to have an easier progression curve with a few more cheap early game sabotages. Just such an awesome idea and really great execution. Great work!
