This is extremely good and super well made! Every aspect of the game is super well done. Visuals are incredible, lovely pixel art everywhere, but even the UI is so well made and polished. The dialogue is great too and the humor is also excellent! Very cool idea of putting evidence in order. This is just really good, I have little to say as it's just too well made lol. Fantastic work!

Just noticed, my rating from days ago didn't save for some reason, so I'll try and rewrite my comment from what I remember (with a few additions). Very cool game! Took me a while to get past the beginning and I died quite a few times, but once I figured out to save up for a reactor fix asap then I was able to progress. I like how the information is presented with the tooltips, it's a little overwhelming at first but works really well I think. The visuals are really nice, I really like the sort of lighting, I don't really know if it's actual lighting, but the soft colored lights around the screen look very nice, and the horizontal lines look nice. The game over screen is really cool too, surprisingly good even. I eventually was able to sustain myself and have 9999+ money all the time and kept the reactor running just fine! Quite a fun progression curve, could definitely expand and add more things to manage during the mid game and end game if made into a full game. Overall a really cool game! Great work!

Thanks! Glad you like the visuals! If I had more time I would of improved the ending but I didn't end up having enough time for that. I definitely wanted to add a narrative too and did have some ideas but for the scope of the jam it was not possible. Fair enough on the controls, I agree they need some work. Glad you enjoyed!

Thank you! I did find in my own play testing that using the highest dominoes often led to the most buggy behavior, I kinda just hoped it would be good enough for the jam lol, but yeah, you're 100% right with that.

I did try to make the buttons clearer by making them stand out color wise, but I could of maybe improved the level design a bit more to make them more clear.

Glad you liked it overall though! Thanks for the detailed comment :D

Very cool game! A really cool idea! Visuals are very nice, along with the UI. I do like the gameplay but I either don't fully get it, or maybe there's a small mechanic I'm missing, but it feels like there's no reason to buy any bomb types aside from the two 4 way directional bombs. I'm not sure what reason you'd have to buy any other bomb type. I was only able to make it to level 7 but it was quite fun! I did enjoy having to time things correctly. Really cool game, great work!

Thank you for such a long detailed comment! I'm glad you liked the vibe, I never intended to work on it so much but I ended up spending a lot of time on the visuals.

I'm glad you mostly liked the controls, I will be trying to rework them but I can see the appeal for them, rotation is the main thing to improve for sure, choosing the right angle was annoying for sure.

I did want to keep the puzzles fairly easy for the jam since getting used to the movement would take some time, I do think there is potential for more mechanics and some pretty interesting puzzles. But I do enjoy them being not too hard and allowing you to still mostly appreciate the vibe while giving you something to do.

Thanks for for the kind words, hopefully I'll be able to improve the inputs quite a bit!

Cool to know! I don't think I saw a single bug so good job on fixing them at least!

What a banger game! This is really cool and a super smart way of interpreting the theme too! I'm curious if you know of the game "Tricky towers" which is a very similar concept to this but using Tetris block shapes (and a few more mechanics). Either way this is really fun. I didn't make it too far but still placed 46 objects on my second run and it was really fun trying to balance things. I really love how you made the collisions very accurate for each object so you could actually place the explosive under a stepladder to keep it safe, but then the later battery disincentivizes it, really smart game design! I really wish there was audio, but I get it. Super fun game though, I really liked this one, great work!

Really cool game, and pretty cool take on the theme too! Visually it's really nice, I really like the hands especially, the effect with the shadow dog is really cool too, and the general screen shader looks good! I do think the trees could of been textured though, just to match the ground texture and the sorta psx artstyle a bit more.  The minigame was cool, and was both fair in difficulty and fun! It took me a moment to realize two of the chanting people had spawned, as there was not much of an indicator that there was another one, wasn't much of an issue though. Overall a cool game, really like the creative take. Great work!

Pretty cool game! I do quite like it but truthfully in the later levels the puzzles became so tricky to figure out I sorta just gave up and just started rotating things until it worked.  I never quite understood how the crystal orbs worked. 90% of the time they reflect the laser but every now and then it seemed that lasers when through them. I do really like the idea though and I did enjoy the moments i could figure out something, maybe I'm just dumb lol. Music and  visuals are nice even if mostly assets, they're well used. As others have mentioned the sfx were a bit too loud. Overall a good game, but a bit hard to figure out in later levels, I wouldn't be able to tell someone the solution to a puzzle even though I completed it. Good work though, it was a fun time!

Thank you :D

Thank you! I can't say I've seen another game like this either lol.

I agree 100% with the controls, I had a hard time trying to figure out how to make them feel somewhat okay and still knew it was not great. Other people have mentioned using things like the scroll wheel for maybe scaling or rotating the domino and I might try that. I'm hoping to get a small update after the jam ends with better controls. I'm glad you liked the visuals and atmosphere though, hopefully I can make it a little better with updated controls!

Pretty cool game! I like the music a lot, all the metallic sounds really make it unique. Visuals are really good too, it's impressive that you did the animations too! I do like the sfx with the combat, it actually gives me a rhythm game sort of vibe with the first two hits being regular beats and the third being a loud one, it sometimes syncs up with the music a little and overall has a robot rhythm game vibe to it with metallic sounds. Like others, I could not get the special attack to work, but still, it was pretty fun! Overall a fun game! Great work!

Glad you liked it! I agree with the controls, I'll try and figure something out to improve it for after the jam ends! You know, I never considered what it'd be like to be in one of those coffins, I can't imagine it's pleasant lol. Thanks for the kind words!

I don't really have words for this other than, this is just so cool! I really liked all of this, it just hits in a nice way. The dialogue was just nice to read, not just visually (but of course the visuals of the text were super pretty), but I like it feeling like a stream of thoughts, of course far better written than  regular thoughts lol. But it feels like it depicted  the sort of mindset you'd have when alone, and it kinda hits. The dialogue really evoked some cool images in my  head! Though I don't fully understand the context of this narrative, it's cool that it's not fully explained and lets you imagine what could be going on in this person's life.  That final image section was so cool too, I like when games let you let go of the controls and just vibe, and let you try and piece what's happening. I do really wonder what the ending meant but I like how it's not explained either. Such a cool vibe for sure. Great work!

Really cool game! It was simple but very fun, timing the shots in the later levels was pretty cool! A nice difficulty curve for sure, and if time allowed it, this could easily have more levels. Music and sfx were pretty nice! Good UI on the main menu too. Just a solid game. Good work!

An extremely well made and well polished game! It's hard to believe this was made in 3 days. The art, music, and sound design are all incredible. And a really cool idea for the gameplay too, I've certainly seen nothing like it in a jam before. Really cool progression system too, I don't think I even played that well and strategically enough but it was clear that each ingredient was very useful in their own right, I never found myself not wanting to use an ingredient. I'd say the only thing I'd want from this game is more time to strategize on what ingredient you can pick, eventually I just started grabbing the first thing I saw and it was always good score wise. The stirring was pretty fun too but it did feel like it could have more reason to exist, maybe having to go counter clockwise every now and then would be cool, or having to draw a certain shape (triangle  for example). Obviously time constraints wouldn't of made these ideas possible but if the game were expanded on, I think that would be the first things I'd want. Excellent work!

(As a side note, it's cool to see you here, your devlogs are really good, hoping development is still going well!)

Absolute cinema. This is my favorite game of the jam so far. Love the personality you put into the game. Just from the banner art alone with the pointing bird I knew it was gonna be peak. Super satisfying game, the combo increasing just hits. But the live reaction pop ups were incredible. The sfx were also very satisfying and the voice lines "That's what I'm talking about!" were perfect lol. Brilliant idea for the theme too, such a cool take on the theme. Excellent work, this is really good!

Hey, still ended up looking pretty nice! Good luck on learning to code more!

Thank you :D

Pretty cool idea! I didn't quite realize that clicking the same bomb was cheating until I read the comments here lol. The audio became really loud when the bombs started getting quicker,  not sure if that just happened to me but that was a slight issue. Otherwise a fun game with an interesting idea! Good work!

Thank you! Fair enough on the controls lol. There is an end goal to reach but having maybe some smaller objectives or some context as to where to go could help for sure. Glad you liked it :)

Huh, I quite like it lol, feels satisfying and looks nice!

I'm amazed I didn't think of snooker when coming up with ideas, it's such a smart idea that fits the theme perfectly. One issue, I suck at snooker. But this is actually really fun. The visuals are super pretty, love the color palette. Sound effects and music are really good too! The upgrades felt pretty cool, it couldn't save my lack of skill though lol. This feels really well made and is just a solid game! Excellent work!

Really solid game! I could of easily played much longer if there was more upgrades and progression systems. I really like the interpretation of the theme too! The visuals were nice, especially the UI, and the music was also good! Just a really well made game with a smart and fun idea! Great job!

Thank you so much! Good catch, they are indeed meant to be tombstones/coffins. When I started the game I wanted a bit of narrative but I had no time. Glad you liked the audio, reverb really makes things better lol. I agree with the inputs, it's always my worst aspect in jam games I'd say, using mouse wheel is a really good idea! I appreciate the kind words, thanks :D

A fun little game. While it's just marbles, it's a neat concept to add your own textures. The visual effects are quite nice too! Good work!

Thanks :D

My heart bro :o

Even though it was only 3 minutes long it's still pretty fun. The artstyle is quite pretty and the level is nicely built, and overall has a really good vibe, the colors just look nice. With a longer time limit I imagine some ambiance would make this even better. I liked the detail of the books each having their own name too lol. That final sequence made me jump though XD

I couldn't tell this project was restarted 3 times, it feels well made! Great work, wasn't expecting to get scared lol.

I think the pacing/balancing was quite nice actually, scaling it down for the jam was a smart idea, it felt perfect in my opinion.

No problem, it was a fun time!

Oh, yeah I might be blind then lol. I guess I missed the icons, and was more focused on text in my head lol. Fair enough, my bad lol. Gl on expanding the game, however much you do!

Scroll wheel is a really good idea! And potentially rotating with mouse buttons or something is smart.  I'll note that down for future projects, thanks :D

Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed the gameplay, I didn't really make many puzzles but the movement itself thankfully made the few puzzles there were, quite a bit more interesting. I wasn't too confident about the idea at first but it seems it's payed off :D

I completely agree with the controls, tbh every jam I've done I've kinda sucked at making good controls XD

Truthfully if I had more time I'm not sure what I would do to improve it though, I may have to find some similar games and see what they did. Really appreciate the kind words, I'm happy you enjoyed the game!

Pretty cool game! The ending I found a little tricky but still a pretty cool experience overall. While others have said a compass or a mini map could help I slightly disagree . You already had the signs that said "Medical Bay 1" and "Bridge" and if there was more of that, that'd be fine. Even more in game pointers similar to that, that don't require UI or any too direct information thrown at you would be neat. I did like the strategic element of having to find a space where you had room to move in the limited time you had before drones arrived. I think having a few small drones attack you while you're on you're way to another objective could help keep things engaging. Definitely a cool vibe though,  it was pretty fun to navigate once I understood the level layout better. Shooting was pretty fun when more people joined the squad too. Good work!

Thank you so much, that's high praise! While the movement has lots of potential for bugs, it's pretty fun when it works lol. Glad you enjoyed!

This is just pure genius. Can't say I've played many games where what stopped me was my PC's inability to continue. After the 4th or 5th prestige, you have god like power, and it's quite fun, but you're also too powerful XD

But I'm not joking when I say this is a really good game, it's a simple idea but it's perfectly done. The music and colors are just right, the progression curve feels good. What more  could you want? Peak game. Great work!

What a nice game! While pretty much just a cookie clicker like, it was still relaxing. The music was really nice to listen to, paired with looking at the background shader and the sound effects it was just nice. Seeing the node shape grow over time was pretty cool too! Nice work!

Looking at the other comment, it seems that adding the cat character was a very smart choice lol (I went for the default color though). What a fun game! The puzzles were well thought out and fun to play, I really liked the difficulty, it was pretty much perfect in that aspect. This being playable on an actual game boy is SO cool! I really don't have much to say as everything is just solid, music is a bop and never felt repetitive, controls were easy to use, visuals were very nice. I like the unique dialogue for each death too! A really charming, nice, puzzle game! It's really cool to see a game that has a retro vibe, because it is actually retro. Great work, this was very fun!

Ah yes, unity's intuitive, go to debug mode to turn off "raycast target" on the text. Yeah, oh well, not a big issue anyways. Shame about the bug but as stated, was still a fun time, no problem. Oh yeah I forgot to mention this before, I believe when you get fired and restart the match the difficulty or market or whatever doesn't really reset. I had to reload the page to have stats like chaos and the debris go back to normal. Otherwise they were still high. Hopefully this can give some insight on a bug!
