I reached Wave: 10.
The game was fun and tense, more than once I fell down very low on health before eventually surviving. I like the way the mechanic is presented to the player, letting you just making the game glitch on purpose because it's worth it. The overall presentation is cool including the catchy music and very nice glitch effect.

I went GLITCH all the wayyyy baaaabyyy!!! Fun times, good gameplay, the mechanic suffer with glitch for power was spot on! very nice
Pretty cool game with a nice upgrade system.
The fact that you start with allocating points to your ships systems is really good and i like the risk/reward aspect of it affecting your ship’s stability.
Spritework is nice as well and the glitch shader effect definitively looks incredible, i’m kind of a shader noob so i’m impressed :o
The game is a bit on the difficult side though, but other than that no real issues. Well done :)
I love the idea of making the player choose how glitchy the screen is in exchange for more power! I do think a little bit more leeway to be able to upgrade more would be nice, but that also might just be me having a skill issue. Otherwise, this is a very fun game! Awesome job :D

Nice concept and nice way to let the players lean towards the chaos all by themselves. Maybe I would just suggest to find a way to have the maximum instability a bit less epileptic attack, for example, keeping the RGB switch but reducing its power or timing and changing the game resolution, creating more pixelation effect, or using a white noise. Overall great game ^^

Finally played the game of the legend who submitted first xD Okay, this was really straightforward. Pick upgrades, kill enemies, don't go overboard, or everything will become unstable. (Which it definitely did) I stacked up on everything on the first wave and faced a huge wave of glitch vfx that I only have myself to blame for lmao. Good work :)

Visuals are very unique, also very good use of the soundeffects. I loved that I could sort of choose my own playstyle, just wish there was a bit more variety but with a little more content this will prob be game of the year lmao

Really fun, i loved the glitch visual. Also i just could just insta upgrade my ship max level on all 3 part on wave 1. Not sure if it intentionnal or not.

Loved the visuals and the integration of the theme! I found the bullet patterns very frustrating as either I was dodging and not getting any hits in, or getting hits on the enemy and continually taking damage, haha - might be a skill issue on my part!
I definitely think it could use a way to recover some RP so you can restabilize a bit and balance the glitchiness with your own power, but the instability mechanic is super cool!
Hey! Thanks for the feedback! Some clearer visuals of where the hotbox could be good maybe. You regain 1RP at a rate of 10hp. So if you have 90 health you have 9rp and so on
I love the difficulty yet simplicity of this game. I tried my best and couldn’t get past wave one - kept dying once I hit around -1500 points. I was trying to get my points to be positive... I guess I'm just not very good. I'm definitely going to keep trying though. I’m will beat this thing. Apparently chaos is the key, according to the other reviews anyway.
PS: I haven’t tried many of the games in the game jam yet, but this is the only one I’ve actually wanted to keep playing after giving it a full review.
Update! IM GOT TO WAVE 9!!!! Almost there!!! started to notice key things to help me pass each wave. going to beat this at some point will definitely be back to defeat this.

I noticed that after finishing wave 9 it proceeds with wave 10 which is empty except for the ocassional powerups. Since your description says the goal is to survive wave 9 it feels like there should be a win screen or something. Even so I had fun playing!

That was an experience. I attempted to delicately balance the energy and couldn't get past the 1st stage. Like the other commenter said, I then "embraced the chaos" and that was quite fun. I eventually even made it to stage 2!! :D Great job!
One note - a couple of times when I died, the "retry/quit" buttons wouldn't work. It wasn't consistent, so possibly just some weird Godot state issue or browser thing. Just in case you continue with it, something to be aware of.

Made it to stage 7 with a grand total of -19k points lol. Fully embracing the chaos is the only way to go. This was fun, though I spent much more time waiting for heals then actually fighting.
I agree, it could definitely do with so regen balancing or maybe a healing powerup that is a rare drop maybe.
