Sorry it took so long for me to get around to playing this game...I was waiting for my new computer to arrive :)

There's a lot to like about this game! First is the atmosphere. I never really understood the term "cozy horror" until now. It's got a nice cute vibe on the surface, but there's always something that just feels slightly off. And I mean that in a good way. Second, the sound design is done really well! I think it's the biggest contributor to the atmosphere I was just talking about.

However, if I may, I have three suggestions. Number 1 is to maybe add a 'done' button for each task. I found that I would complete a task super quickly and then just sit there waiting. Number 2 is to add an indicator to show how much time is left. Finally number 3 is that there just isn't enough content. However, I understand that this is a jam game so I'll cut you some slack there :)

Overall, I think this game has a ton of potential and I look forward to seeing where it goes from here. Great work :D

Thank you so much! I've received a lot of feedback about how brutal the last level is LOL. And I'm adding more levels in a post jam update :D

I'm not 100% sure. I'm on a laptop currently so the gpu could very well be an issue though. I'll look into trying the game again on a better computer tomorrow :)

Thank you for the kind words :D

Yeaaaaah, that last level goes from 0 to 100 pretty much instantly. Glad you were still able to clear it though! I'll see about adding some levels before it in the post jam update.

For some reason I keep getting an error saying "Exception thrown. See Javascript console." :(

I always love a good puzzle game! I especially liked that the NPCs were used for more than just movement and the level designs were well put together!

I will say that collisions were a little bit buggy at times, but it was manageable.

Overall this game has great potential. Amazing work :D

This game has a really amazing concept! I love the idea of mirroring your enemies weapons and the fact that the grass would react too was a nice touch!

My one suggestion is to speed up the blue beetle enemies bullets. Whenever I had that ability, I would have to get really close to enemies with faster bullets in order to hit anything which made it nearly impossible to react in time. Maybe that's just a skill issue on my part though LOL

Overall it's a great game! Good job :)

Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed the game! And yes, the camping trip was amazing :D

Thank you so much for the kind words! The last level with the spikes is VERY difficult. There is currently a bug with the game pausing half a second after the player hits a spike. So that's probably why you weren't overlapping. I'm working to get it fixed in a post jam update :)

Also, I'll check out your game some time tomorrow! I'm a little tired so I'm logging off for the night "^_^

Haha, the game is a little difficult LOL! Especially that last level (the one with the long jump between massive spikes). I appreciate you trying it out anyways and you're always welcome to return here to improve :)

This is really good for 12 hours of work! You managed to get a lot done in a short time!

Apart from a few bug fixes, I think it would be really cool to add a dash mechanic! Or at least increase the walking speed.

Good job :D

Thank you so much! I'm glad the visuals worked out as I tried to put more effort into them than I usually do!

Thanks for the comment! I'll add arrow key input in the post jam update :)

Amazing! I'm glad it was helpful!

I like the concept! It was especially fun when I would hit an enemy into a large group of enemies and watch the firework of potatoes!

One suggestion is to maybe add a restart button. Currently, I have to close the game then open it again if I die.

Overall, it's pretty fun! Good job!

Thanks for the comment! Yes, the animation in the thumbnail is from level 6 in the game.

Thanks for the comment! You raise a good point! An explanation of how the enemies work would make the game feel more fair. Therefore, I just created a devlog explaining it so hopefully that will help :)

Thank you so much :D I was actually worried it would be too difficult, so I'm glad that doesn't seem to be the case.

I really like the concept! I think it'd be helpful if you knew which portals linked to which so that you're not just guessing.

Overall a pretty fun game though!

I really liked the pulling enemies mechanic. It'd be cool to see this idea expanded on further! Good job!

I like the music and the art style is pretty cool!

I found the dashing and movement to be a little buggy because when I would dash, I could no longer move in the opposite direction until I dashed that way.

Overall it's pretty good though!

Haha, yeah. It's quite entertaining to punch a group of enemies and watch the chaos unfold lol!

After trying the game again it seems as though the bug I ran into has disappeared...the game works properly now! I unfortunately have no idea how the bug occurred or how to replicate it.

Yes, I am playing on PC. I should clarify: the game does play animations when I press a button but it doesn't seem to damage or eat enemies. Even when I'm right next to it.

I like the visuals and animations!

For some reason the game window for the web version is really big on my computer and can't even fit on the whole screen. I still managed to play through and win the game despite that though!

Good job :D

Update: I've realized I can't type because I keep messing up the typing game...I'm proceeding through the full game now lol. My apologies for the mistake. I've already improved my rating for the game to reflect this.

Hm, now I'm thinking I didn't get to see the full game because during all 3 of my attempts I went straight from the typing game to the text saying I wasn't able to escape. Let me try again and see if I can figure this out.

This game is quite addicting. I just started playing and before I knew it, I was on wave 50 lol!

One small thing is that the refill health upgrade seems to be useless because you get your health back at the end of each wave anyway. Just something to look into :)

Fair enough. There is a restart level button but I guess an undo button would probably be better!

I like the visuals and audio on this one!

Gameplay was a little slow in my opinion, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

Amazing work!

I really like how polished this is! And that tutorial made me laugh!

It does seem to lag pretty easily, but my computer isn't very good so I'm probably not the best reference for that.

Very well done!

Cool, thanks for letting me know! I wasn't sure because if I held down LMB too long the enemy wouldn't leave when I let go and I would have to press LMB to get it off.

I have to ask, was this made in Scratch? If so, that's really cool. I didn't even know you could export a game in Scratch lol.

A small suggestion would be to make the enemies give at least one bullet after they're killed. The fact that there's less than one means that the player is guaranteed to run out eventually and then the game is pretty much over. I think it'd be cool to see an endless mode where if you run out of bullets you lose.

Pretty cool game! Awesome job!

I like the concept and visuals!

One small suggestion is to maybe make it easier to aim the orcs your throwing. Perhaps they could aim at the mouse? Additionally it'd be cool if the orcs would slow down and stop after you threw them. I had a couple attempts where I ran out of dead orcs to throw because they all went continued flying until eventually they were off the level.

Overall it was pretty fun though! Good work!

I absolutely love the visuals on this! The story was pretty cool too even though it was short.

However, I don't see where the theme is incorporated.

Great job!

Quite a goofy game! I like the style and vibes!

One small thing I would like to suggest is to improve the system for holding and throwing enemies. Right now, it seems a little buggy and I can't tell if I'm supposed to hold LMB or press it.

All in all, it's pretty good though!

I absolutely love the visuals and art style! I especially liked the manga page opening!

One thing however, is that I can't seem to figure out how to play properly. I attack or try to eat enemies and nothing seems to happen.

This is a really cool use of the theme! I was considering something similar for my game but didn't want to over scope lol. Glad someone was able to pull it off!

However, one thing I would do is make the game window larger or add a full screen button. It's quite difficult to read the text on the screen when it is so small.

Overall a very fun experience and good theme interpretation.
