Hey there, no worries on the late response. It's totally understandable.

The "tasty lure" upgrade your talking about would be a perfect fix for what I was talking about :)

Excited to see the new update once it's ready!

Thank you so much! I finally started feeling better the DAY the jam ended...so the timing could not have been worse LOL. I'm glad you like the game though and I'm gonna be patching a bunch of the bugs in the post jam update :)

I really like this game. The upgrades are well balanced so that they feel like the impact the game, but not so much that they feel overpowered.

One very nitpicky thing is that the chain lightning ability sound effect is a little bit loud.

Overall, it's a very fun incremental game. Good job :)

Thanks for the comment! I'll definitely see about adding some more juice to killing the fish. I haven't run into that bug with the HUD, but I'll look into it :)

This is a very creative concept! I love the idea that the different hooks have different attacks and abilities!

One idea I have is to maybe have the different hooks catch different fish? That way you could either play it safe and use the early hooks but earn less money, or take a risk to use a harder hook and earn more. This also ensures that you're not catching super strong fish early on when you don't have the gear to take them on. Although the let go mechanic also remedies this.

Additionally, it would have been nice to see a glossary of all the fish and their abilities. That way, when I caught a fish for the first time, I wouldn't have to guess whether or not I could beat it.

Overall, it's a very creative game and I hope to see a more polished version. Good work :)

My goals have been achieved :)

Haha, all good! I'll give the game another try in a few minutes after I finish playing a different game first :)

Ah okay...however it seemed as though the game would reel in automatically even if I didn't press anything :(

There's a lot to like about this game! The movement is smooth and the soundtrack is amazing.

One thing is that I couldn't really figure out what my goal was supposed to be? I was mostly just chillin' in the pond going through the speed boosts and then a megalodon spawned and instantly killed me...

This is still a really cool game and I'm excited to see where it goes from here. Good job :)

I know right! This is exactly how fish act. I don't know why all my friends are calling this game cursed...

Wow, this game is awesome!!!

You can tell the amount of effort put into every detail of the game! I especially liked the small detail that the fish in the water were the actual fish I was catching, not just decoration.

The only minor nitpicky thing I can think of to improve is to make the fish you would catch more predictable. I kept trying to strategically cast my hook to target the bigger fish but they'd suddenly change directions or sometimes go through the hook...

Overall, it's an amazing game and I love how it turned out. Great job :)

I really love the atmosphere on this one!!

Unfortunately, I  can't seem to figure out how to actually catch fish because whenever I cast the hook, it reels in a couple seconds later without a fish and I lose a round.

I haven't rated the game yet so if you can let me know how to play, I will give it a proper try and rate it then :)

Also, it seems as though I unfortunately can't try out your game "^^. I am away from my Windows PC until after the rating period ends and the HTML build doesn't seem to work...

Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed the game!

Sorry it took so long for me to get around to playing this game...I was waiting for my new computer to arrive :)

There's a lot to like about this game! First is the atmosphere. I never really understood the term "cozy horror" until now. It's got a nice cute vibe on the surface, but there's always something that just feels slightly off. And I mean that in a good way. Second, the sound design is done really well! I think it's the biggest contributor to the atmosphere I was just talking about.

However, if I may, I have three suggestions. Number 1 is to maybe add a 'done' button for each task. I found that I would complete a task super quickly and then just sit there waiting. Number 2 is to add an indicator to show how much time is left. Finally number 3 is that there just isn't enough content. However, I understand that this is a jam game so I'll cut you some slack there :)

Overall, I think this game has a ton of potential and I look forward to seeing where it goes from here. Great work :D

Thank you so much! I've received a lot of feedback about how brutal the last level is LOL. And I'm adding more levels in a post jam update :D

I'm not 100% sure. I'm on a laptop currently so the gpu could very well be an issue though. I'll look into trying the game again on a better computer tomorrow :)

Thank you for the kind words :D

Yeaaaaah, that last level goes from 0 to 100 pretty much instantly. Glad you were still able to clear it though! I'll see about adding some levels before it in the post jam update.

For some reason I keep getting an error saying "Exception thrown. See Javascript console." :(

I always love a good puzzle game! I especially liked that the NPCs were used for more than just movement and the level designs were well put together!

I will say that collisions were a little bit buggy at times, but it was manageable.

Overall this game has great potential. Amazing work :D

This game has a really amazing concept! I love the idea of mirroring your enemies weapons and the fact that the grass would react too was a nice touch!

My one suggestion is to speed up the blue beetle enemies bullets. Whenever I had that ability, I would have to get really close to enemies with faster bullets in order to hit anything which made it nearly impossible to react in time. Maybe that's just a skill issue on my part though LOL

Overall it's a great game! Good job :)

Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed the game! And yes, the camping trip was amazing :D

Thank you so much for the kind words! The last level with the spikes is VERY difficult. There is currently a bug with the game pausing half a second after the player hits a spike. So that's probably why you weren't overlapping. I'm working to get it fixed in a post jam update :)

Also, I'll check out your game some time tomorrow! I'm a little tired so I'm logging off for the night "^_^

Haha, the game is a little difficult LOL! Especially that last level (the one with the long jump between massive spikes). I appreciate you trying it out anyways and you're always welcome to return here to improve :)

This is really good for 12 hours of work! You managed to get a lot done in a short time!

Apart from a few bug fixes, I think it would be really cool to add a dash mechanic! Or at least increase the walking speed.

Good job :D

Thank you so much! I'm glad the visuals worked out as I tried to put more effort into them than I usually do!

Thanks for the comment! I'll add arrow key input in the post jam update :)

Amazing! I'm glad it was helpful!

I like the concept! It was especially fun when I would hit an enemy into a large group of enemies and watch the firework of potatoes!

One suggestion is to maybe add a restart button. Currently, I have to close the game then open it again if I die.

Overall, it's pretty fun! Good job!

Thanks for the comment! Yes, the animation in the thumbnail is from level 6 in the game.

Thanks for the comment! You raise a good point! An explanation of how the enemies work would make the game feel more fair. Therefore, I just created a devlog explaining it so hopefully that will help :)

Thank you so much :D I was actually worried it would be too difficult, so I'm glad that doesn't seem to be the case.

I really like the concept! I think it'd be helpful if you knew which portals linked to which so that you're not just guessing.

Overall a pretty fun game though!

I really liked the pulling enemies mechanic. It'd be cool to see this idea expanded on further! Good job!

I like the music and the art style is pretty cool!

I found the dashing and movement to be a little buggy because when I would dash, I could no longer move in the opposite direction until I dashed that way.

Overall it's pretty good though!

Haha, yeah. It's quite entertaining to punch a group of enemies and watch the chaos unfold lol!

After trying the game again it seems as though the bug I ran into has disappeared...the game works properly now! I unfortunately have no idea how the bug occurred or how to replicate it.

Yes, I am playing on PC. I should clarify: the game does play animations when I press a button but it doesn't seem to damage or eat enemies. Even when I'm right next to it.
