Very Satisfying.  Glad you make it french dudes. :D

I thought I would never rage again after Getting Over it... I was so wrong XD
This game hates me like the original did, and I love it!
hahahaha
Great game! Too bad I couldn't manage getting to the end, but this was fun to play! The physics have some glitches that make this game harder, but it's very well done for a game done in 48 hours! Congrats! ^^

Developer

Thank you for reviewing it, appreciated !

Sorry if the physics bothered you that much ^^, it was more difficult than I thought it would be.

Now that I've played it, I see why it's become so popular on this jam! A great game with a very unusual way of moving around, and so challenging! I failed again and again, but still couldn't put it down for a while - it was fun to play. Although this poor fellow with a hammer might not be having any of the fun - he's panting so heavily:)

Developer(+2)

Moving around using a sledgehammer and wearing nothing but a cauldron is really hard indeed... Glad you had fun :D

Infurating, humerous and just way too silly.

Thank you, I never realised I needed the 3D version of 'Getting Over It' in my life.

Simple idea, hard to critecize because it does par with the original game, but I'm not too sure about the slidiness of the hammer when moving. I guess it come down to play testing to what feels right, Imagine it made the game too easy so leaving the slide was your way of improvising the delicate and precise movements you need to 'Yeet' about.

Well done to you, I really enjoyed this :)

Developer(+1)

Well, I'm not quite satisfied with the physics of the hammer, it's somewhat glitchy here and there. But some things had to be rushed to be put together !

Thank you so much for your review, you're amazing ๐Ÿ˜Ž

You're welcome, my man. You should be proud of this creation!

I love the artwork and the level design! Although in my opinion physics needs some works. Keep up the good work!

Developer(+1)

I share your opinion concerning the physics, but we couldn't get it to properly work in time... I'm glad you like the level design tho, means a lot!

Just like the original, this got me to rage a bit inside, was still pretty fun and enjoyed playing it. Didn't get to the end, but I intend too, which could be seen as a plus ^^ Well done for 48 hours.

Developer

It's a real challenge, yeah. The janky physics don't help, but I'm trying to fix it in my spare time.

Thanks for the review, appreciated

Nice adaptation of the mechanic, creating another ways to move (lift you up with the hammer and just space bar your way), this is great ! made me pass through the same feelings of the original 2D game :D

Developer

Thank you, that's cool that you liked the gameplay, even if it's kinda glitchy. I'm trying my best to make it work for a potential update soon !

A beautifully made game that really inspires nostalgia and the emotions with which I went through Getting Over It! Another plus is the ability to play in the browser! Clear control and a lot of emotions, thanks a lot!

Developer(+1)

Note that the web browser build was not posted in time by the end of the jam (and that's why it's not on the same page), but is there for the Mac users out there and people who can't install games on their computer.

Thank you for the review, very appreciated. It's very nice of you ๐Ÿ˜Š

Okay this is amazing. Nicely done :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you. It's cool to see that you liked it. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

I hate it as much as the original 10/10

Developer

Amazing, I take that as a compliment ๐Ÿ˜

A very nice job making the game to 3D, I had some trouble going up, as I glitched here and there, but overall, pretty good game.

Developer(+1)

Glad you enjoyed it! Physics were the biggest issue during development, but we still managed to make it enjoyable

Submitted(+1)

Wow, just as difficult as the original. I also really like the title, and the photo on the face of the yellow dude. The game had me hooked for a solid hour, nicely done. Very cool, keep it up!

Developer

Thank you for playing so much ๐Ÿ˜

It's @alexcommil's face, one of the devs from the team. We didn't have any texturing or modeling skills, so we adapted, improvised & overcame.

That's so creative and hilarious! Nice job, +10 bonus points.

very nicely done , the gameplay is really good . :)

Thank you, means a lot

Now at first I thought it lacked the unpredictability of the controls that the original game is so famous for. But after falling a few times trying to go too fast and literally launching myself off the map; I have to admit I was wrong. Great entry. 10/10 would yeet again.

Developer(+1)

Yeet/10, thanks for your support

This is a very good dimension changed game! But it's too hard to me. I can't finish it. I would definitely  mad if I keep playing it.

A small advice, it might be great if the camera angle follows the player. Just like a normal FPS game.

Developer

Thanks for passing by !

Actually, I'm not quite sure about the camera angle following the player angle. I think it would've been harder to turn around without vomiting. Thank you nonetheless

Nice work, incredible how it feels like the game you based on, but it look so unique. Great camera and movement, but on a few moments a could not see my character, but it is just a little detail, all the game is fantastic. Great Job.

Developer

Thank you very much ! The physics are a bit janky, but it had a lot of issues during the jam. I managed to go around some of them, but there's still some collisions problem.

Have a great day ๐Ÿ˜Š

This game is very fun and also difficult as the original game (Getting Over It), I could only get to a part where there were some bricks or something similar, I love the fact where the character has someone's face, it looks very funny,

Great Job!!!

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks for the review, I hope you had a grat playthrough ! It's @alexcommil's face, go check out his profile pic on Itch (it's the same)

Definitely one of the best I've played so far!  A clever choice of game to add a dimension to!  You did a great job keeping the complexity of the mechanics.  The background music was pleasant, adding some vaguely inspirational quotes a la the original would be a welcome addition.

Use of the word Yeet +9001

Developer

Hehe, sorry for the janky physics, it's not quite perfect. I hope you were having very much fun.

Submitted(+1)

Great concept! I like the controls and I love that there is a face picture taped to the front of the character lol. The physics were a bit janky and the hammer didn't catch the ground properly, but I realize that's probably pretty hard to get right with such a short time limit. I loved the music and how it jumbled when you fell off the edge! Nice job!

Developer

Yeah, I'm not quite satisfied with the hammer physics and had a lot of issues, but some things had to be rushed. It's a jam after all !

Thanks for checking out, appreciated ! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ

Developer(+1)

Btw, you're the only one talking about the piano, thanks for noticing ๐Ÿ˜Ž
