Interesting entry, I liked the story and that you had to be really fast to put stuff in.
Some stuff you could look into;
Maybe put fog on the math questions so that the player can only see it once they click the input bar. This makes it possible for players to read normally, and have a timer on the math stuff.
When I quit the story aspect I wanted to just type right away, but the input isnt focussed yet, fairly easy to do but really handy for players.
The math questions were always the same, so after a while I just wrote the answers down to put them in later, maybe randomize this (and maybe make it a bit easier).
Either way, pretty fun entry ^^

I always forget about the '1D' type of games, which in this case is text adventures.
Great thinking with this one, I was a little surprised when I downloaded a .html file, but there we go :P
I'm going to complain just a little about how long I had to read AND use a calculator to do maths. Maybe it's because I just woke up an hour again and I'm still catching up. I just thought the time sometimes was a bit short for some of the dialouges.
I appriciate you were aiming for a sense of urgency, perhaps simpler maths for this as well? Well done none the less, this was a great entry. I hope you have fun creating this :)

This is my first jam game, and I had great fun creating it. As for the file, I was not sure whether it was better jam etiquette to make it downloadable or playable online (the former makes intuitive sense as someone using the same engine, Twine in my case, might be curious to see how exactly the game has been created). I checked the page with other submissions, and most were downloadable, so here I went. And then it was too late to change.
I agree that the time may be way TOO pressing. After the jam, I'll be adding difficulty levels designed so that most people have no trouble playing at Easy or Medium. And the current math and timing will be Hard :)
Good to hear. I'm always cautious with giving critique during a game jam, despite the fact nothing will be perfect for an entry. I know, and probably so do you, that itch does support in browser playing, so it could be worth seeing whether your submissions in the future can be done by that with your desired engine.
Very clever take on the theme, converting a mechanic to a text based game! I thought the quick calculations did a good job of emulating the urgency of trying to keep up with your targets, nicely done!

I enjoyed the sense of urgency to answer made by having the countdown. I'm glad the reset screen is quick because it not only helped with keeping the flow going but heightened my anticipation. Simple but enjoyable, good use of the mechanic!
