Really unique game! How did you make all this in 3 days?? Thats madness! You have my admirations! Well done!

Developer

I was almost giving up on Sunday to be honest. At 12 o'clock I had only the map and its rooms, parts of the server room.

But at 1 a.m. on Monday I thought. "okay, let's stay awake all night and see if I can finish it somewhat.", so I also drank an energy drink and it worked :-D

A GREAT GAME! Helps my brain excersise when I'm taking my holiday XD. NO COMPLANITS OVERALL GREAT GAME

One of the best games of the jam so far! 10/10 Great job on everything! :D

Developer(+1)

Wow thank you so much! The game of yours is also on my list already :3

Submitted(+1)

I love the idea of this game, I rarely see games with those mechanics, just in some enigma games, also the graphics are really amazing, great job doing this in 3 days, I just wanted to be better at understand the puzzles hehe

Submitted(+1)

Took me a bit on that last puzzle but finally got it. Pretty awesome game. I love these kind of games where you need to manipulate the files. Been wanting to make one myself eventually. Are you planning on taking this further then?

Developer(+1)

If there are some people being interested in me carrying on the development I'll think I will add the rooms I had been planning in the first place during the Jam :-D I had like 13 rooms in my mind, but only had time for the 5 puzzles after all :-)

Thanks for playing and rating!!

Submitted(+1)

That's the fun of jams isn't it. Cutting so much stuff. Well I for one would be interested in further updates, though I do understand its a fairly niche target audience.

Developer(+1)

Absolutely! Cutting things off is what I really need more practice in :-D
I had to stay up the whole last night in order to finish and make it even playable.
But I've still got some ideas, so I'll do an update I guess :-)

As a niche target player a question to you:
I wanted to make a fake OS and fake filesystem where you could change the files directly in the game without touching the real file system. Is that a good plan or would it totally destroy the idea?

Submitted(+1)

I think it lessens the impact personally. However it would probably make it more appealing to more casual players. I think it would be an idea worth a small prototype to do some market testing.

Submitted(+1)

Amazing game, I really love the concept, and the execution is next to perfect. c:

Although I got stuck at the generator. I've set the power level to match, but it still didn't work...

Developer(+1)

Thank you for your kind message :-) For the power level you should explore a bit! :-D

Submitted(+1)

I personally loved it, I'm always a sucker for OneShot type games :)

Submitted(+1)

Very creative! I liked it!

Developer

thank you very much! :-)

Great game, love the idea! Also, the soundtrack is a good one!
(Could you make me a favor and rate my game? https://itch.io/jam/wowie-jam-2/rate/552654?after=20#post-1138535 )

Developer(+1)

Thank you very much! Already did play and rate your game :-) Was a great experience for me!

Submitted(+1)

A very great game i loved every second of it

Developer

Oh wow thank you so much! Did not think it would turn out being enjoyed by that many people :-)

Submitted(+1)

Love the gameplay, love the art style, LOVE THE CHALLENGE. completed it! Was very fun

Developer

Thank you so much! :-* See you only on discord buddy!

Submitted(+1)

Really awesome game! 😀 It was quite challenging but I'm not sure if there was a clue for the power demand so I just brute forced it 😋

Developer

Thank you! :-)

Wow! How long did it take to brute force it? lol

Submitted

I'm sadly stuck on the code part, I really wanted to test this game out :C

Developer

Which part are you talking about specifically? You may always hit me on discord, I'll help you :-)

Submitted(+1)

I absolutely love this game! I love the fact you have to go into the conifgs and everything, also kudos for the modelling and textures!! Great work for a jam game!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! It sounds like it somehow payed off basically having no sleep this weekend :-D

Submitted(+1)

Amazing!

but i could not pass the "we need power" stage

Developer

Oh I see :-) That one you'll find on the map itself!

Submitted

Wow, I absolutely love this game! The visuals are great and how you have to edit the files is genius!

However, I got stuck on the part where you have to set the power for the cannon because I didn't know if I should tweak the value for the generator, the cannon or both (and I didn't have enough patience to brute force it) so maybe you could give more clear hints there

other than that, I love it!

The only category i wont rate with five stars is simplicity.  But probably the best game i have played so far. I'm amazed that this was made in only 3 days. Beautiful visuals, mysterious sounds, brilliant gameplay, absolutely WOWIE!

Submitted(+1)

Great game with extraordinary graphics!

Glitch effect is 10/10!

I love how you have to edit the files to continue :D

Submitted(+1)

Incredibly unique and intelligent game! Though you could have made it a little more obvious that the player needs to go into the game files. I did find it a little annoying that every time I changed anything in the files that I had to restart the game again for it to take effect, and I couldn't get past the 'partition error' puzzle. But ingenious idea that (as far as I got) was very well executed, great job!

Submitted(+1)

Haha Sadly, I don't know enough about code to progress in the game :D At least that's what I think - the goal is to play around in the config files, right?

Developer(+1)

Hi Dezue :-) A hint might that you have a look into the .glitch directory which is being created in the same folder as the .exe file on the first start of the game. The screens in the game will always give a small hint in which file to have a deeper look :-)

Submitted

Oh, the intro.cfg didn't generate on my first playthrough - I tried again and now it's there.
I passed the first test but now I don't know what to do with all the letters in the *.key file :D Sorry ;)

Developer(+1)

Just let me know via discord + spoilers if you wanna try it out further :-) Just when you're interested, will not force you^^

Submitted(+1)

Ahem, I'd very much like that :D Thanks!
