Love the art style and the direction of the game's intent. Although getting stuck standing upright on a wall when the character is supposed to be hanging on it is annoying. As well as the time between jumps also feels very long and floaty, which does not tie well with the fast-paced, timed nature of the game. Overall, the game has a lot of charm to it, and I cannot wait to see how this game is developed going forward. Music, art, aesthetics, and platforming are a very good combination, and I am excited to see more!
Thanks for playing, and thank you for the feedback!
We have an improved character controller ready to launch post-jam that fixes all the issues with getting stuck on blocks, refined movement, and less floaty jumping.
Very fun game! There were a couple of areas where I got caught up on some platforms, but that really wasn't a deal breaker. I also like that the spikes are not only an obstacle but also give a good boost when used correctly. Great work team!
edit: Oh, and I also like that when I run out of time, I'm restored to the checkpoint with 30 seconds and how you tied that all together :)
Thanks for playing! Yeah the spikes may reduce your time, but like you found it’s possible to use them as almost a launch pad, great work finding that.
I really love the game concept. You should work on it after the jam to polish the mechanics especially the player controler. This game have a huge potential.
I would really appreciate it if you could play and rate my game as well 🙏
I like the game and the concept is fun. One improvement might be that when the player isn't moving on screen (against a wall or so) and one is holding A or D down the timer continues, even though the character isn't moving. I am not completely sure how the timer mechanic is implemented but if it isn't already like that maybe you could link the timer to the players velocity instead of the inputs as it seems it is currently done.
To me that is a minor detail and I overall really liked the game and was impressed at how much content there is.
The aesthetic is beautiful, it is very cozy and cute. The controls feel very good.
A big thank you for an awesome experience! Super nice level design, great introduction. Good gameplay mecanic. I had time to think during the pauses. The visuals gave me original Price of Persia vibes. Love the "Time ghosts" I left behind. You called them status, frozen in timeless state. I did cut it really close on the last checkpoint with less a second left!!! Awesome game! Do add more content after the jam, and if you do - reply to my comment.
For technical feedback: The physics can be improved, but they are more than good enough for game jam game.
Thank you, glad you liked it!
We plan on adding the things we didn’t have time for post-jam, that includes physics tweaks, puzzles, art work.
Not bad. Art and music is nice, but no sounds. Movement is responsive, but physics/collisions are very awkward - player can get standing on ledges or even ceilings, wall jump doesn't work properly if you keep holding move in direction of the wall, ball-spike doesn't kill you and just pushes you away with a strange force. Don't get what's the point of stopping time when you don't move, I thought there would be some puzzles around it, but it's just a useless gimmick. Checkpoint doesn't reset your time limit.
Thanks for playing
i love your art bro. the mechanic is smooth as i like, good luck
Thank you!
Visually beautiful, and the music fits the mood perfectly. It's a pity there are no SFX, they could really enhance the immersion. I really liked the time mechanic, where it only moves when you do. It's very well implemented.
Congrats and best of luck in the Jam!
Thanks for the kinds words and feedback! Best of luck to you as well!
The art is beautiful. The music is good. The level design is pretty, It needs better physics and some jumping sound. It is one of the most beautiful 2d platformers I’ve seen.
Thank you so much for the feedback! We appreciate it!
Very nice time mechanics! I love failed players staying where they lost time and hoped it will be used for some puzzles later on. Only downside I encounter was a bit clunky jumps and wall jums. Great game!
Thank you and thank you for the feedback!
The controls could use some work, but the time-stop mechanic was quite intriguing.
Thank you for the feedback! We appreciate it!
Cool graphics, fun to watch, sound effects for jumping would have been nice.
Thank you and thanks for the feedback!
The mechanique is really interesting, respect for this ). I guess everything is good, But sometimes it was hard to move properly, and I sew some unfinished design, but everything is nice, I have liked))
Thank you and thanks for the feedback!
I think it's really too early to make the player face the tall wall. Maybe a shorter one first? Or any baby steps that can lead the player to learn to do that. I couldn't get through, so I won't get to experience the rest of your game.
Thanks for the feedback!
Awesome game, love the art works and love that you can stop time.
Wall jumping felt a bit clunky. I had to stop moving to wall jump correctly which felt very unnatural to me. Beside that I seemed to died a few times randomly. I was just jumping to a platform and then my character would teleport to a checkpoint..
Thank you!
It's definitely given us some ideas on how to make it clearer that you've ran out of time and we do want to make the wall jumping feel a bit better.
We appreciate your feedback and kind words!
Ahh it was a timer, makes all sense now!
Thanks for the feedback!
Dying randomly may have been the timer running out. We can definitely make it clearer what is happening when time runs out and you leave a statue behind.
Good submission. Made it through in 5 death.
I feel like you wanted player to use their dead bodies to jump higher, but I didn't find a place where it useful
Thanks!
Yeah the bodies can either help or hinder, given more time we would have liked to make them a larger part of the puzzle to get to the end.
