This is pretty good for a 2-day jam! I enjoyed the free aim for the weapons so I can move about and pelt some bombs towards enemies at the same time. The rover controls may need some more fine tuning and a sound system to have the BGM and SFX gentler on the ears. Overall well done!
Thank you for playing and for the feedback. The music and SFX were added last in the last minutes before the build. I will keep your feedback in mind while working. Thank you!
Very well-crafted game, did almost every aspect in a great manner. The instant enemy spawn when the first time drill made me panic a little, maybe give some hints or sound effects to let the player prepare to defend.
Thank you for playing! I am working on a fix for that. In the current build, I just added a little red fog to warn the player and a tooltip helper saying that there is danger in the red cloud. But I will work on that post jam. Thank you for the feedback as well!
Nice game.
Thank you for playing
I liked the UI! Very clean, and very nicely decorated opening scene! Was cool to spawn into a different world and fight the monsters - well done!
Thank you for the kind words. But I have to credit all the UI to the Asset Store, specifically Shift - Complete Sci-Fi UI by Michsky.
Still well executed with placement and design! :)
Really nice entry. Good job managing to pull it off. Its abit too heavy on the UI for my liking but overall i had good time exploring the game :P
Thank you for playing. Did you manage do defeat the big guy trying to beat you with an axe?
I want you to take a moment, take a deeeep breath, and just be proud of what you delivered bro. Awesome work!!
Thank you! Glad you liked it! And I did take a breath. I think it was really cool being part of the Unity 20 year anniversary.
Outstanding! I can totally see this game making the final cut of the game jam, easily top-10 material IMHO.
Thank you for playing and for the kind words. Which weapon did you prefer?
They're all cool, but i think i wil go with the Bomb (gives a free shott of dopamine)
hehe, thank you for the feedback!
Cool entry! The driving and shooting was very smooth!
Thank you for playing! Which enemy did you like better?
Wow ! I'm really impress by the game ! It's really complete
Love the intro, the UI and was suprise by the planet, dynamic and fun ! Well done !
Thank you for playing and for the kind words! I am collecting a bit of data for the post jam update - which weapon did you prefer, so that I can set it as default? And would you like more animal like creatures or mechanical ones?
I really like the laser but I found the bomb are more efficient and I like animal/creatures
Thank you for the feedback, hope you had a good time!
Very polished entry ! Good balancing in terms of weapons and both rover and enemy movements . Great job!
Thank you for playing and for the kind words. I am quite happy with how it all came out :P
Wow.. this is the cleanest game I have played so far. Amazing work, man. I am surprised how you were able to create this game in 48 hours.
I would really appreciate it if you could play and rate my game as well 🙏
Thank you for playing and for the kind words! I did play and rate yours(itch io says that I voted 22 hours ago compared to the current moment) I was the one, who couldn't save everyone :) Btw, would you be so kind to tell me which enemy did you like better? I am collecting data for post jam improvements :P
The overall quality is high! The detailed animations around the UI are nice. If the background music loops smoothly, it might enhance the atmosphere without interruption. Good job!
Thank you for your feedback. And thank you for playing. But I have to credit all the UI to the Asset Store, specifically Shift - Complete Sci-Fi UI by Michsky. I have it since forever and I think it was perfect for this game. The background music is from opengameart.org. It was mostly plug and play. Currently I would turn the volume down, add some fade in and fade out, or actually change the music because it doesn't fit the pace of the rover. But... time limitations. What can one do :)
Good! A bit too loud. Enemies and overall vibes remind me of Ratchet and Clank :)
Could easily see it as a full mobile/web game.
Thank you! This is the first comment that suggest I build it into a fully featured game. I am glad you liked it!
Btw, have you played Ratchet: Deadlocked? There you can drive on vehicles in some missions and they feel super good (probably similar tech to Jak 3), also has cool enemies and weapons, that might give you ideas on what to experiment with and which direction to go to
Really good and fun game
Thank you for playing. Like I said in the other comments, I would like to ask you about preferred weapon and favourite enemy character? I know that they were limited, but I want to set a default weapon and add another 2-3 creatures in a post game jam update.
Mmmmmm I just encountered the wasp and the robot and used the bomb and laser to defeat them. I’d say I really liked using the bomb, and the wasp fit the creature on the planet
Thank you for the feedback as well :)
Thank you for playing and for the feedback. +1 for the laser beam team! Currently I am looking for a way to try windows based game, since i am stuck on MacOS for now. Trying to find a way to test and give feedback to all the games with solo windows builds. Yours included.
Edit: Solved it, install windows with bootcamp. I did rate yours :)
This is a really polished exprience. It was a lot of fun too. well done
Thank you for playing! Hey, I am gathering data for post jam update. Which weapon did you prefer?
Really polished game, especially impressive given the short time frame. What I liked the most was how you integrated parts of the UI directly into the game world; a great use of Unity's new system.
Well done, and best of luck in the jam! ;)
Thank you for playing! I am collecting data for post jam update, which weapon did you like better? The winning weapon will be default post game. Then I also want to know which enemy is more difficult, but I don't have much of a feedback.
I like the Synty assets) You've made a great job. It's solid foundation to make interesting game.
Right now I missed the a global goal - there is no ending (or it seems that). So I don't know why I need to collect diamonds and upgrade the rover
Thank you for playing! Yep currently I tried to explain the end goal in two ways.
1. The one is direct - kill the boss at the end of the level and return with diamonds - upgrade - try again, which is optional.
2. The second goal is set through narrative - when time doesn't exist anymore - human nature kicks in, we start to get greedy and want more and more. So greed moves humanity forward and to do that you need to collect diamonds. So just go and collect diamonds or just waste your endless time.
And for games that are completionists, I added an option to max out all upgrades.
Nice use of assets, I like the lowpoly style, rover needs more maneuverability and could use more varied music. Otherwise fun game.
Thank you for playing! I will improve the rover movement after the jam. Right now it is a bit slow, since I wanted to add a rover speed upgrade in upgrades, but unfortunately didn't have time. You are right about the manoeuvrability, with a bit more mobility could go a long way. Music was actually last minute touch with a couple of sounds during the polish stage.
I like the concept and love the looks of the game but I wish the rover would move and turn much faster. I also wanted some knockback for weapons.
I much preferred the bombs (saw you asked about that).
Thank you for the playing and the feedback. The Rover gets slower the more diamonds you collect. It was intentional to be a bit slow, so that you can upgrade speed but didn't have enough time to add the upgrade before the submission. I wasted some time trying to change the camera and on tutorial. Will add this upgrade after the jam. Thank you!
