Maybe youre right, but i think that would require a smarter approach of mine to camera managment. I feel like rn it would make experience nauseating : D.

I don't hide that the arstyle and gameplay were somewhat inspired with drifter. It's still everything done from scratch and by myself tho : ). Thank you for playing and kind words !

Im pretty sure I am. The overall world setting is the one i was already using for turn based rpg. But turns out we're going action rpg instead :D. Thank you for kind words and I'm really glad u liked it !
I really liked the boss fight, it was really challenging but fun. I think (but I'm not sure) the range attack was limited or sometimes it wasn't working. But that's just the small thing, the game was still really fun to play :)

Just sometimes the range attack wasn't working, like after 10 times of using it, it stopped working for like 2 clicks and then it came back working, maybe it was because of my internet. Don't warry about it too much, for a game Jam, the game is really good.
I just want to check it out, I don't take it too personally, but if i screwed i screwed and it'd be good not to screw again : D.

I really liked the game! I did it first try as I realized that keeping a long distance and attacking from afar didn't give him a lot of opportunities to hit you. I wish the dash was in reference to the player movement and not the mouse position, as sometimes I dashed right into him forgetting that.
Now everyone does it first try! Are u watching tutorials or what : D?! Ik that some people prefer dash towards movement but its literally 50/50 in these terms, id probably ad option to choose between one and the other in final release. Thanks for playing <3.

Very cool design! There are some very small bugs (e.g. the boss reflection is chaotic sometimes), but overall it feels great and rewarding. I like how the boss becomes mad over time. Thank you for the fun I had, and congratulations on finishing your first game jam.

Very interesting game! I really love the pixelated style and the choose of character models - they are great for the given atmosphere. The boss fight is at the beginning a bit challenging, but that's fine since it's not unfair. However, I reall liked the game. Keep it up ^^

generaly i love bosses in games and i think you nailed it, the difficulty was just right and i loved it when it has a second phase.

Really cool boss fight! I loved the art, but I think that the tongue attack was a bit unpredictable and hard to dodge!

Cool boss fight! Took me four tries to defeat the boss.
On the second try I got stuck underneath the boss (before I learned that space was for dodging) and died less than a second later due to all the tick damage, so maybe a knockback or something when the boss lands could solve that problem.
One thing I didn't like was that the projectiles the frog sent out didn't disappear when they hit the player. I would've liked them to disappear as I already have been hit by it and don't want to get continuous damage if I'm not able to dodge away somewhere safer.
I really like the art style! The gameplay reminded me a bit about Titan Souls and this has the potential of being in the same "boss rush" kind of genre. A solid prototype!
I considered removing particles or giving invincibility frames after getting damage, as my testers mentioned that too, but after all i just left that. Knokback is a cool option to consider. Thank you for kind words !

This was so cool! Very inspiring too. I think focusing on a single boss battle with a "two" themed opponent was a great idea.

Wow man, you are really on to something here. I don't think it fits the theme strongly but the quality and attention to detail for the game is crazy(the water effects!!). I was immediately hooked into the world and wanted to go and explore it! I really hope you continue with this project and bring it to completion. Great job! :)

Cool for a beginner and I think I found a bug, even if you are standing away from the crab you can damage him if you click on him
Doubt thats the bug, melee range is just pretty big : P.
Nice, I recommend adding an animation that shows how your slash is travelling and when it collides with the crab, it finishes
Good idea, sadly didnt really have time for that during jam, im glad that the rotation is counted correctly :D
