A wonderful entry, I love the physical way the thesis of the game is conveyed to the player, the way it actually gets in your way and you have to juggle it all just to be able to read the dialogue. I also loved the moment of discovery when I accidentally combined two objects for the first time. I ran through the game a few times to be sure, and like others, I am unfortunately getting a crash once Gaia appears. I also noticed that the perfume disappears once you create it, I even tried creating it mid-air in case it was simply popping through the floor. I hope you upload a fix after the jam, or possibly a desktop build. I was looking forward to seeing where it was going!

Creative Vision / Rationale / How Did You Incorporate the Theme
We incorporated the theme of generosity by exploring moments during grief when others choose to be generous in response. Often this is happy, bittersweet, and sometimes a bit inconvenient.

The complete antithesis of my game, haha.
It took forever to load in the browser, and I eventually encountered a fatal javascript bug. Both contribute to this game's interpretation of the theme, which is excellent and hilarious.
Generosity can often be overstimulating, especially in moments of grief. The saturation of color and detail in items, rooms, and dialogue contributes to what is, indeed, a casserole. It begins to stack up and distract from the nuanced condolences of family members and neighbors. An important lesson: less is more.
Marvelous work, you have created an artistic masterpiece!
The art is really well-done! I love how it integrates into your game! The dialogue also works out to be smoothest ive seen in jams. Really really impressive job!
The art style and subject matter did not prepare me for the sheer humour of this game. Frantically trying to throw away gifts just so I find that continue button! Along with the even more absurd items being added to the pile gave me a good chuckle. But ultimately the well wishers won out as they ended up crashing the game with soo many gifts! Great game.
hi it's Chris!
Brilliant and humorous, everything worked well like an orchestral piece that brings forth your vision of how generosity can be stifling if overdone. I was hectically juggling the casserole, flowers, vases, and all the generous antiques just to read all the dialogue you wrote--peppering laughter and smiles to myself.
A testament to how much I loved it: I read about the bug coming in, totally forgot about it, and when it happened, I thought it was intentional.
Lovely piece of art for the jam!
Loaded into this absolutely darling warm vintage art, in contrast to the mother's passing. LOL the sheer chaos of everything piling on my screen naturally fueled my curiosity as to what else could happen. Kept clicking and combining until I received an error, crashing the game.
In navigating grief, we do our best to hold ourselves together even as the world feels to be collapsing. I was touched by your unique and comical game.
Such a well-done and well-explored idea. In participating in my first-ever jam, I'm especially impressed by games like this! Wish I could've seen the end :)
Super funny game, the combinations and the sheer chaos of it all made me laugh. Loved it.
LMAO this game was so quirky and unique, I was having so much fun throwing the food around in between the dialogue, I got distracted so easily. The artstyle is also very distinct, I really like it! Admittedly I had a bit of trouble following the story since the screen got so cluttered, but it was fun nonetheless, fantastic game!
God forgive me, I kept throwing the presents in the air without mercy so I could read the dialogues hahaha, your concept is really cool, I liked mixing one object with another and forming several different things, at first I thought they had to be the same objects but no, which made a lot of sense as I was accumulating objects, my game crashed after a while but I played it again and again, great work
Very unique game, but unfortunately it did crash eventually. I found it very funny when the screen started to get cluttered with items while I was trying to read the character text haha. It was also fun to combine items, and the art style is also very cool.
I absolutely love this!!!! I kept on playing it and it all made sense one by one until page got unresponsive then I had to start again hahaha.
Overall, really humorous and nice!!
Story - Really top notch! All of the characters had such personality and I really felt the essence of being overwhelmed despite the kindness. Really awesome execution here!
Mechanics - Hilariously brilliant. It ties theme, story, and mechanics together so nicely with this sense of overwhelming generosity. I feel the need to answer the door, but know that I'll regret it in a moment!
Theme - Absolutely on point. Probably the best of this jam, honestly.
Audio/Visual - Really great visual style and the music/sfx felt just right.
Overall - I think the simplicity of this game is what makes it so brilliant. Everything just works (aside from the critical error) and it tells the story of grief, community, and emotions all in one very clean little package. Amazing work!
Hey Really love the art and story dialogues!! I love playing around with the objects and throwing them here and there haha!
Wish I could play the whole game but i encounter an error halfway :(( But its okay I hope to play your game if you ever reupload after the game jam period :D
Really unique concept! I like how you focus on how generosity can be overwhelming at times, even if well-meant. Fantastic art style and take on the theme!
