this was so cool! the gameplay felt super unique, and all the mechanics made sense. i loved the music, especially the final level.

i think i might've cheesed Argyle by solving the level without the knife, but i still had a lot of fun with my solution!

Love the humor in this! Great flash game esq puzzle game with some interesting uses of the mechanics, really loved the use of the knife in Argyle where it becomes kind of a dodging challenge near the end. Music is bumpin, but feels a little sus imo. Also I think the train stops being each level is a really fun idea. Loved it !

Loved it! The game is super funny, really clever puzzles, and fun to play. No feedback aside from the ones I gave u in person when playing! Really good job!

This is awesome lol

The majority of the mechanics are well-explained or intuitive with a few exceptions (dead rats pressing buttons and blocking lasers is important but not tutorialized, on the other hand, the knife item is not explained but was immediately intuitive for me), and the final boss is such a fun surprise.

I did run into a bizarre bug that made my mind behave like I was constantly holding down for some reason, but just restarting the game fixed it so I think it was probably controller weirdness on my end. I think the puzzle variety was great, too, with lots of new moving parts to play around with being added at a good consistent pace.

I think there's a lot of room to explore a larger variety of puzzles, and for more challenging puzzles! I think the repulsion mechanic is really interesting, but I didn't end up using it a whole lot in the puzzles themselves.

also I love the red line

i mean it's not great but i love it

cute rats :) Saw the intro... didn't expect it to be a puzzle game at first, but am pleasantly surprised it is! it was very fun, with the puzzles being challenging but solvable. I especially like the pacing in which new mechanics were introduced, the level design is very well made.

Super fun little puzzler! love the idea of controlling these rats, and often having 2 or more at a time to juggle. I was able to complete my run and defeat the boss (super fun boss btw) in about 15 minutes i wanna say? I did have to reference the walkthrough just because there were a few things that I didn't see explained like dead rat corpses blocking lasers. The dialogue got a good kick outta me as well. great work!

this is an awesome puzzler that’s SICK as hell and reminds me that i actually live in chicago (clark/division is my stop! i’m there like 3 times a week)

i also totally didn’t spend 20 minutes caaaaaarefully attracting and repelling all three rats in the Sheridan stop to keep two of them on the buttons while the third ever so slowly creeps past the lasers both ways because i didn’t yet realize that dead rats block lasers and press buttons

i am left with two questions tho: 1) is it intentional that the attract/repel is sometimes inverted along one of their axes when there’s a no-rat zone between you and your cursor? and 2) why does everyone clown on the redline i take it all the time and i think it’s great

Such a cool concept! I really love the art style a lot, and having the redline be so prominently featured was really a treat.

A little more hand holding with the mechanics would go a long way, but maybe thats just all the drugs talking. Cool that the SICK was able to get this game on the console in the 90s and around all the censors.

This game was so much fun! I loved the tone, and I found the puzzles provided a reasonable challenge. While some were rather tough, it was enjoyable all the way through. I really enjoyed the final boss fight, and my only complaint is that the final boss mechanic was really fun, and I kinda wish I got more of that earlier! Most fun I've had on the Red Line.

Glad you played it to the end, the ending "level" was a last minute dumb idea that I'm SO glad I decided to do, definitely my favorite part of the entire jam, thanks for playing :))))

We talked IRL about this but I love the aesthetic, and the puzzles are interesting. I think some mechanics might need to be explained more clearly, but great work!

Really love the accurate representation of a ride on the red line in this one, I myself am on hard drugs and manipulating rats all  the time. My only complaint is the repelling didn't seem to work a lot of the time, or rather it repelled in ways that didn't make total sense. I did really enjoy the puzzles though! I appreciate all the different mechanics you made.

ha, this was a blast! The puzzle design is really well done and y'all really went hard with your theme. I think my only advice would be to maybe tutorialize a little bit more, i wasn't aware that rat corpses would block lasers and continue to activate switches until i did it on accident.  I also really liked the music, super chaotic and fun though it could be a bit repetitive by the time you get to the second to last level.

All in all though, really solid!
