honestly, i got stuck at level 10, but that didn't stop me from having a lot of fun here! the visuals are great, music was thematic, and this felt exactly like what would be on the S.I.C.K.

it's also crazy that there are as many levels as there were! i really thought that i was at least like halfway done, but i wasn't even 1/3 of the way done; just a crazy amount of content.

great job!

This is insanely solid. Feels like a game I would play on the school computers in the best way possible. Speed is fun in this game and even though there isn't an official feature I found myself trying to beat the levels as quick as possible. Great project and I would love to see what other creative ideas you come up with in future projects!!

wow!!!! what a great little puzzle game, simple but hard to stop haha. also holy hell that's a lot of levels for a game jam game, it's basically complete!

As others have said, super impressed by the number of puzzles.  I got totally sucked into this one.  Art and music are on point, too.  Great game.

Found myself getting sucked into this one. You really cant beat a nice puzzler, can you? Satisfying sound design, super intuitive puzzle mechanics, fun puzzles- what more can you ask for? Tried out a smattering of levels and, yeah, they all were challenging and fun! It does what it does well, and for that, I thank it. I also gave Slime Miner DX a shot, which, I might like even more? the broken tiles mechanic adds so much to the game.

Very cool turnout from such an ambitious idea!

Played through a couple of levels in every stage. Overall challenging and fun! very simple and elegant game, with an impressive amount of levels considering the time frame.  Visuals and sound was also on point!

Ridiculously addictive, I must say. While some people might've been disappointed in the change in direction, Slime Miner 1 is still there for those people. Slime Miner 2 however is a fantastic puzzler!

Oh wow this was a ton of fun! Music was a bop and the animations worked really well, really enjoyed the amount of puzzles that there were for a game jam game. The idea of needing to pop all the slimes, while not "losing" any of them by dropping them into a pit is a really fun twist that I enjoyed puzzling through.

There are a few small polish related things that I think could bring up the sickness even more, but I totally understand why they're not here in a game jam game.

  • Having an animation state that conveys how many hits a slime has taken (or has left).
  • A little indicator of where you will land when you move (or where you just were) would be a nice toggle.
  • Some sort of post-screen that shows how many moves it took you to beat the level would be a fun way to challenge yourself with solutions.

The number of eyes left on the slime has shows how many more hits they'll take to pop!
The other suggestions are great though! I thought about doing that but felt the UI might too obtrusive and I wanted to keep things more minimal - but if I continue to polish more I'd like to do that, especially since internally there is data on the minimum number of moves required to complete a puzzle, so I could even tell you if you solved it as fast as possible for some extra challenge!

Got through the first world of the game, really good work! Very impressed you have this many levels made out, and what I saw was really satisfying, thought provoking, and easy to understand. Having the eyes match the slimes health is a good touch, and the music is fun and bumpin. Would have liked to see different worlds have different themes or gameplay elements, but it's a jam so understandable that you kept scope small. Main reason why I suggest this though is just that for me it did get a bit repetitive after the first world, so while it's nice to see all these levels, it feels a bit over saturated. However don't get me wrong, this was really fun! This comes from a desire to see more from this world and more ideas you have to offer, since this was a really good first impression. Really good work y'all it turned out great!

(Also I did have issues figuring out the pause menu on keyboard since when pressing esc it opens the level select and quit game screen which was jarring, and I noticed that wasn't happening on controller.)

I wanted to split the mechanics out for the lore of the sequel - if you want to see another gameplay element experimented with, be sure to check out Slime Miner DX for crumbling tiles!

I would love to have different themed environments for each difficulty. Unfortunately jam constraints made that unfeasible, but that would be top of the list for me in terms of improvement for sure

I really love this one! The game is fun to play, the puzzles are intuitive and challenging, and I love the music and the visuals!

This is incredible, I had a blast playing it. The puzzles are challenging but not so arcane that I can't develop an intuition for them. I sometimes stumbled into solutions, other times it took epiphanies to get me there. The art and sound are next level for a game jam.

Dang this is impressive!  Just solid execution and craft work; the banger bgm and rhythmic animation loop really lulls you in to just lock in on a puzzle for as long as it takes, and they're solid puzzles worth scratching your brain over.  I could really spend a long time with this game, which is thankful because by god 50 levels!  I have to make a conscious decision to walk away for now to give other submissions a chance, but I'll be back because this is just a game worth playing through

Thank you! Once you've played through these puzzles, remember there's another 50 waiting for you in Slime Miner DX!
