This was such a fun game! There's a fun mechanic and a lot of polish, what can I say? It's super fun!
I do have one bit of criticism that I haven't seen mentioned yet, and it's unfortunately pretty major... WHERE IS THE PICKLE? THE TOMATO? THE SPORT PEPPERS! If you work on this more, I demand some dog customization!

Awesome stuff! Managed to snag the top score but only after several attempts, and still just short of 4k points. Really fun runner game, with a banger soundtrack and a ton of charm. I love all of the touches like the mustard all over the hands and the rat constellations, and just how much character is built into every little bit
There did definitely seem to be a specific strategy for success, though - just tapping instead of ever holding a direction. If you tap, you can keep moving mostly fast enough, but the hands barely move, which means you can maintain all 5 dogs for a lot longer, so long as you can still avoid everything.
I did come away feeling like my best scores had a lot to do with luck, though, outside of the tapping. It's kind of inevitable with a runner game with proper difficulty though in my opinion, but is also reinforced by the randomness of how the dogs fly when you get hit - sometimes you barely lose any, and sometimes it's instant death.
that said, I don't actually think that randomness takes away from the experience - I think it adds to it. The fact that you could instantly lose off any trash can just adds to the tension as you're getting driven forward faster and faster by that sick saxophone and I wouldn't have it any other way
Windows Defender is blocking me from playing :( Will try again on my other PC later in the week.
FANTASTIC submission to the jam, the art is INCREDIBLE, and the flow of the game feels so good, there are so many small details that really pull you in. I really hope to see more of you and your games, this is so fun and memorable
Wanna start off by saying that I'm so glad you guys decided to submit something! I know we've talked about you guys participating in the jams before, and MAN, what a debut!! Bangin music (seriously, that arpeggio on the sax?! INSAAANE), Expressive art and sound, and such a fun premise to boot! I tried my hardest to beat Anj's score, but I just cant... I kneel...
I'm having trouble thinking of things i'd change. Maybe it's just the perspective, but I sometimes had trouble clearly telling where exactly my hitbox was, but there's a good chance it's because I'm a big stinky chopped baby who doesn't know anything about anything. So, y'know, grain of salt.
Great stuff, Y'all! Can't wait to see what you guys do next!
SUPER FUN! The audio filter was so cool to give those SICK retro vibes! Gameplay was easy to pick up and addictive. Also special shout out to the cool stars going on in the background!
Really fun entry! The package feels complete for how simple and one-tracked it is. Found myself wanting to keep trying to do just a little bit better. I finally managed to beat ASS on the scoreboard so that felt like a good exit.
Visuals are crisp. The sound effects spliced in with the really fun music was a nice treat. This sort of gave me Pepsiman vibes and I wonder if that was at all intentional.
One small gripe is that it felt like the hitbox window was just a tad unforgiving. I found my way around it, but it sometimes felt like I should have avoided hitting a trashcan when I still manage to nick it. But it did also motivate me to see if I could get past that little intricacy.
Great work, y'all! Very S.I.C.K.
