I love everything about this I think. from the dedicated website, the restoration slider, the video with music, it all mashes together so well!

Love the restoration effort, cool to see with the slider. Who knew the gunblade actually originated on the SICK??

YESSSSS!!! This one really embraced the lost media theme in such a creative way. The battle theme was great, and the screenshots were a nice accompaniment.

I love this a lot! The theme and presentation is very cool. I totally leaned into the lost/found media even more with my own entry after seeing you post about this on the discord.

Really cool concept! The effort that went into the lore and the presentation of the lost media is really present, and it matches the era and theme so well. Only disappointment was finding out there wasn't an actual game for it lol. Great work!

🙏  Maybe one day we can find a copy!!!

Awesome project! I really appreciate the multi-media nature of this one, having an interactive experience, a website, and a youtube video! Can't wait to play the real game when it gets found!

We're really hoping to track down a copy soon!!!!

Mr. Rice, You’ve done it again.

If I hadn’t known you were TAPPED IN through our previous conversations, I’d certainly know now. The individual materials are super sick on their own, but the re-creation of the old website much like real old RPG developer sites you’d see back in the day is what REALLY steals the show for me. (Look at Gust’s old site if you haven’t. Lovely stuff!) Love the sound fonts chosen for the battle theme as well, seriously some awesome stuff.

While I have you- and you didn’t hear this from me- but I heard rumblings of a canceled sequel to 2000’s Wrath of the Slime Lord called Wrath of the Slime Lord II: The Neo-Chicago Unification Wars which was going to be a launch title for a S.I.C.K. 2 that would have been disc based. Basically, I heard that Gomibako would have been a playable unit. Dunno if you heard anything about that, a contact of mine told me he might know where to get a trailer for it, so I guess we’ll see huh?

Developer

We've heard these rumors too and are investigating!!!

Decided to do some "lost media" for this one!

Was a great opportunity to learn some low-poly character modeling in Blender, try putting together a JRPG battle theme, and practice writing some Japanese for the ad (as a sidenote/clarification: for one of the screenshots, I got lazy and just used a translation tool  😅).
