Did you work in a team?
Solo project. All art/music/gameplay done by me.

I really enjoyed it this year, I was busy most the time the Jam was on so only had a chance to start 5 days ago.

I still think I've managed to get something enjoyable to play out.

Was the resolution a challenge?
Due to the game being mostly blocks, I didn't have a problem at first, in fact the main game play is more 16x16 as each block takes 4 pixels.

However, when I went to add a timer and text for the score in I realised I hadn't left enought room! 4 pixel high font is a bit too cramped to fit anything in, and I couldn't an eligable font for that size.

What did you learn?
I learnt that keeping it simple can you help get something playable out quickly! Features should only be added once the main gameplay is defined.

my score on hard \o/

If these are procedural thats dope! ^^ I feel like i had a good technique down and then thered just be one bottle neck and im screwed haha. Really fun game :)

Simple and effective fun! I wish there was a “restart” button so I wouldn’t have to spam the spacebar after realizing I messed up the beginning of a level :)

Are you generating the levels procedurally?

Submitted(+1)

That's cool. I got 401 points. I would have kept going but wasn't sure where I was at score-wise. Pretty addictive and easy to zone out to. Good use of just 3(?) colours to communicate the entirety of the mechanics.

When i was in school i use to play a game like this it was really fun, i would like to see a movile version or this game as a mini game in a bigger one its just great.

Simple and entertaining! It would be good if you added a menu, otherwise well done! I like the self-composed music.

Cool simple game

Very engaging and surprisingly fun for how simple it is!

Good stuff this. I agree with Amir, make the game gradually harder. Maybe change the colours up?

But hey, this is good fun! Great job :)

Really fun mechanic.

I’d say skip the selection between easy and hard mode and automatically flip to a higher difficulty when they complete a number of levels w/o using an undo (and then increase it even more with a faster clock or limited undo charges).

I also wonder how it’d feel with using the mouse/touch to fill in the square as opposed to the keyboard.

Developer

Yeah, I think I will work on it after the Jam and have it scale as it goes on. Thanks for playing!

Short and sweet, I like it. Are all puzzles guaranteed to be solvable? I felt like few just weren't possible to do because there's always a leftover square.

Developer

Yeah they are all solveable, I use a walker to generate them. I was trying to implement a way to show it to the player before I ran out of time :(

Very straightforward, good execution and congrats on finishing a game alone, very impressive! I love the music haha

Looks really clean and plays aswell, one thing I would've added was a full reset instead of just an undo last move button, because a lot of the time at the end I realized I did the puzzle wrong from the start and had to start over, so I just had to smash my space bar.

Really good. This combination of the super simple mechanic with a bit of time pressure makes a very addictive game. I spent way longer playing it than I would have expected. All the elements complement the game nicely so I'm giving it top marks.

Simple and affective. Are the puzzles preset or procedural? Some I found in “hard” are quite challenging :) Nice job with this entry

Developer(+1)

They're all procedural. The main difference between easy and hard is the length of steps that the puzzle could take!
