Its a nice game :) The art style is really cool!

some feedback:

make the speech bubbles at the beginning slower.

All in all good game :)

You had a nice game there! great entry! nice job

Developer

Thanks!

Interesting co-op . IK Like the pixel art/ 2.5D style... reminds me of the 90's! Great work!

Developer(+1)

When making the art, we definitely tried to do something other than basic 2D, to separate it from other entries. Thank you for playing :)

Amazing game, I love how you have this cool narrative also :) The art direction is cool too. I dunno if it's intended, but it almost seems like I'm looking at the two characters through a security camera.

The mechanic is really cool and the levels are well put together. Good job!

Developer

Thank you!

Awesome game! this game has an engaging narrative, which goes well with the theme, the platformer controls are responsive, this is a well designed game, fun and challenging! overall I enjoyed playing! congratulations! keep it up!

Developer

The story was probably the biggest blockage when making the game, but we still tried to add as much gameplay as we could also. Thank you for playing!

the gameplay was fun and intuitive even after the first level i understood the controls perfectly.

Over all well done :)

Developer

Thank you!

The art and the gameplay complement each other extremely well. I think my favorite thing about the gameplay is the fact that the mechanics intuitively made sense without any text explanation being required. It's cool that you guys were actually able to make a game that feels so complete and with cinematics too. Also, a lot of the times whenever there is block pushing in these kinds of games, there is very often something that feels off about the mechanic (either character getting stuck or block is pushed against a wall to the point of not being able to be pushed in another direction or something like that), but you guys did it perfectly! Phenomenal work!

Developer

Thank you, happy you liked the mechanics of the game!

Really enjoyed the game! I love the cinematics and everything. Looks like you really went to town on this one. No complaints, just keep up the good work!

Wow this game is good. I love 2d platformers in general but I really enjoyed my playthrough on this one. Feels like a lot of time and effort has gone into the making of this given the short period we've had. I really appreciate the passion that went into it. Really nice camera work and controls feel nice and responsive. Puzzles are well thought out too. I noticed a slight typo in one of the cutscenes where "Affirmative" is spelt "Affrirmative" but other than that, it was perfect. Job well done, great game!

Developer(+1)

Ahh! We went over all the dialogue twice to make sure there weren't any errors, but I guess that one got passed us... Glad you enjoyed though, thank you for playing our game :)

Very nice and polished game! Loved the fact that you added animations and cutscenes, as well as level variety. The only thing I did not enjoy was the fact that at times I had to somewhat "backtrack", because one of the characters was very far away. Maybe the robot could carry the man, with his strong metal arms 🤔

Great job! :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing! In the best case scenario Bob would have a little catapult strapped to his back, and he could chuck Mike across the room haha. All jokes aside, thanks for the feedback :)

Wow cutscenes! This is very a very cool game. Well done!

Developer

Thank you so much! Glad you played.

Duuude ! You got cutscenes & everything ! This is seriously gorgeous !

Love the art, love the animation, the music & sounds are on point & the little story complement the whole thing nicely. (Bob... snif *crying in robot*)

This is all well rounded & polished. Great job !

Developer

Thank you so much! Glad you liked the story :)

Love the talks in the elevator.Very good puzzle game!

I really liked the game, but I don't like that when you move the screen is tedious for my eyes.

Developer

Thank you for playing! If you don't like the motion blur, you can turn off the post processing in the main menu, although that might be a bit unclear. Hope you had fun :)

Submitted

Oh, I dind't notice that. Thank you!

I like the mood of the game, it is a carefully crafted world with fitting art style, music and SFX. The chemistry between Mike and his Robot comes across very well in the elevator cutscenes (yes, there are cutscenes)! Impressive work and a very nice addition to the game jam.

I was not the biggest fan of the noise applied to the image, but that's just personal preference.

Developer

There is a button in the top right to turn off post-processing! But maybe that isn't too clear lol. Thanks for playing!

Submitted

Oooh, sorry I missed it, thanks for pointing it out. Although I agree, a star symbol is not the universally accepted symbol to turn off Post FX lol. Thanks for sharing your project!

Developer

Originally we had a mute button also, so it was more clear that there was actually a button there, but turns out there's a unity bug with audio listeners for builds ONLY in the version we used for this game, so last-minute we had to erase all of our mute button code and remove it

I usually try to put options in, too, but I ran out of time on Knallkrebs. Shame that a technical limitation kept you from doing so. It's a minor thing, though and did not influence my rating.

This is a cute game that's really well done! Good job! The levels make good use of each character's abilities and highlighting their weakness and differences, the game feels good to play, and not really janky at all. I see where you were going with the elevator small talk as well, it comes across and is clear, even if it's a little hokey. Nothing wrong with that!

The only thing I really have to say is that it's a liiiiiittle annoying when you're in the middle of a pretty long level, accidentally miss a jump or something, and then have to start from the very beginning. Some sort of check point system would be welcome, but not having them didn't make the experience any less fun! Good job!

Developer(+1)

A lot of people did mention checkpoints, but I didn't think that they really fit into the game since you're supposed to be escaping the destroyed facility - random checkpoints in a lab wouldn't make that much sense, but I see what you mean. Thanks for the feedback!

I like the small talk in the elevator and i love robots !

Developer

Glad you enjoyed playing!

I've only played a handful of gamejam games all the way to the end, this being one of them. This game is extremely polished and very well made. I love the graphics, the lighting is very well done (except in a few places where it's just a little too dark), the sound effects give the right amount of juice to the game, and the soundtrack is awesome. I'm assuming that you used Unity's Particle System to create the particles. When I think of particles created using Unity's Particle System, I think of huge and ugly blobs, but the particles in this game are extremely well done. I don't have any negative feedback except for the darkness issue that I've already mentioned. If this ever turns into a full Steam release, I'd definitely buy it. Excellent job!

Developer

Thank you :)

Beautiful game and atmosphere! I really loved the concept and art! Beautiful soundtrack as well!

This could have been just a puzzle platformer, but I highly appreciate the time you guys took to weave in the narrative element as well!

Great entry y'all!

Developer

Thank you for the feedback. I'm glad you enjoyed it :)

This is such a well-done game! Polished, entertaining, easy to understand, great dialogue, great scenery, impressive game length, nice music, nice art, fluid mechanics/controls, it has it all!

I can definitely see this one being a winner! 5 stars across the board for you sir :)

Developer

Thank you so much. Greatly appreciated :)
