It was pretty fun! I like the puzzles from switching between dimensions. Some of the puzzles were a bit difficult for me, and the ghost + low ceiling in the beginning gave me some grievance. The art and music are really cool too! Though, a lot of the text is cut off from my screen, but that could just be a problem with my computer.
It's a solid concept though, and I'm curious to see if you'll do more from it!
Yeah thats a problem i know about the text dosen't scale with the screen probale, sorry about that
Liked the art style, the magic animations for the main character in particular were really cool. I liked the concept of switching between dimensions. However, I did run into an issue where I would push a box into the wrong wall and wasn't able to pull it or move it back which kept me from progressing further. Also the animation that takes place with the shields when you change dimensions seemed to halt my momentum when jumping. Overall though, cool concept!
Super nice art style :) super nice character design :)
It was really fun for us to play, but it was also really hard. Maybe you could implement some save points :)
The controls were a little bit confusing but playable :)
This game have high potential. Keep it up! :)
Really cool mechanic! Implemented well - I imagine the testing of this game to be a huge undertaking so props to you for taking it on. I've always wanted to try something like it. I love the little character, he's great. Nice little tune too - fit nicely. Great job
thanks for the kind word
Huge fan of the mechanic of swapping between dimensions to reveal solutions to puzzles such as in the case of this game the boxes!
I genuinely believe this mechanic can be really fun, however, I think you need to work a bit on it more. You have an excellent foundation here to build from and I am excited to see what you make from it!
Great job chief :D
I really like the mechanic of swapping dimensions to use the boxes and stuff, very cool game!
Nice game! Pretty hard though. Even from the start. I liked the dimension switching and the box pushing mechanics. Good job!
i'll make a post jam version maybe with better scaling of difficulty
Nice game, i like it a lot but i get suck on the first level. The two dimensions mechanics its really cool, good job!
thanks, this was my 3 idea for the game
Cute little puzzle game! =)
I got stuck when I accidentally pushed a box to a wall so that I couldn't push it in the right direction. Restarting the level by dying didn't reset the boxes so I had close and reopen the game.
But I reached the end then - good job with this submission! =D
there is a way to fix that wich ill try to say later
I can't get over the first obstacle lol
Lol
Pretty good game. Like what you did with the 2 dimensions. Took me a minute to notice that I was actually switching to different worlds, at first I thought I was spawning in a block and a tree lol, but then I noticed what was going on by the time I got passed the first ghost. That's good enough, it's hard to get people to understand how your mechanics work. Oh you know what would help, slightly different colors (even a tiny brightness/hue adjustment) probably would have conveyed 2 different worlds much better
yeah i did think of doing that early in development but had som problems with the way i did the tilemap, should probably have done that tho
I was able to make it all the way to the end! I really liked the idea of switching between dimensions, but the game lacks polish. The player's jump feels super floaty, the music loops very poorly and is very repetitive, to check the controls you have to restart the entire game, and there are no checkpoints, which is extremely annoying for a puzzle game. Each time I miss a jump and hit a ghost, I have to go all the way back and redo all of the puzzles I already know how to do. Underneath all of this is a game with an amazing amount of potential. I just think it needs some more time in the oven to get where it needs to be. I saw your comment about making a full game on top of this, and I think that it would be a great idea, but before you go ahead with that, you need to make sure the foundation of your game is strong.
ok i'll keep this in mind if i choose to go along with making a full game, thanks for the feedback
PS: sorry about the music, the one making the music (Guldblomst10) did not have time this week and only made one bar
PS PS: you're probably one of the only people to complete the game completely, so congrats
I got stuck very early on but I really like the assets and the scenery, I would recommend you make the controls clearer and explain what your meant to to do.
if i make a after jam version ill keep that in mind thanks for the fedback! :
Interesting idea, but i was stuck at the first level
yeah i didn't do the difficulty curve that well :(
This is a really fun game! I love the pixel art and the teleport mechanic, the concept is awesome and the music is adorable with some extra cool chilly vibes >_< Seriously, I really like it, fits very well with the game
I also did not manage to find the secret room yet, but I'll definitely try harder to find it the next time I play it later today \(^_^)/
Great work!
thanks
Nice concepts but very challenge. try a slower learning curve so I won't get stuck. found the solution in the comments here. nevertheless great game!
i did get som feedback from som friends that it was to hard, and made it easyer but not easy by enough i see now after the jam
(this is not ment in a evil way sorry if it sound like that :) )
The idea is interesting. But there are some bugs in the gameplay.Except that one very good game.
I would like to know if anybody would be intrested in seeing a full metroidvania game building on top of this game?
Game mechanic was very interesting but i got stuck at the part with the larger box. Not sure how to progress from there as the box was against the corner already and i couldn't move it. Fun concept!
I forgot to tell peopel how to get boxes out. It's pretty easy just change dimensions, and change back when your on the right side the boxes area:)
I found this quite challenging, couldn't get very far. Interesting concept however.
I did try to make the game a bit less challenging, sorry to hear you got stuck:(
