Nice art! Mayor bones is a cool design. I appreciate the rabbit and turtle button. The music is amazing too! Did you write it yourself?
Having to start over from the beginning if you lose is pretty hash penalty I think. Especially since the first few levels take a while to get enough points to proceed.
Small thing also, seemed to be a bug where a straight road would crash even when it didn't look like it should. After flipping the road around it worked though.
Awesome art! Nice puzzle! Well done
Cool puzzle game ! I like the art style and the music fit the game very well.
The difficulty increase smoothly and I never felt like I wasn't prepared to handle the nect level (kuddos on that !)
A few feedbacks & ideas if you want on iterate on the game:
All in all, it's a good jam game. With a bit more time & polish it can become a fun little game. Good job :)
Nice little puzzle game. Good job on the difficulty's ladder. Sometimes, it seems to me that we didn't really know where the car will pop (the panel direction seems to not always be ight in front of the car popping). Good job !
There's a lot to like about this game and a handful of things that given more time, I'm sure could be polished up into an even better game. For me, I couldn't quite reconcile how to interpret the arrows combined with the direction of the track. Was I supposed to match the tracks to match the arrows exactly? Intuitively, it seemed like if the track was complete and a car was able to enter it, it should follow the track to its completion. Of course, this would make it a different game than the one here, but I found it slightly confusing. My biggest feedback would be to make sure there are checkpoints for each level! In a puzzle-ish game like this, it can be very frustrating to be sent back to the beginning where you aren't getting a new experience, but you are solving puzzles you have previously solved once or more times previously. All in all, I really enjoyed the theme , art, and music, and found the gameplay to be interesting albeit a little unrefined - nice job!
Hi.Why should the others run if the first one has already reached the finish line. The path does not change.
Nice backstory, and decent game mechanic, keep me going level after level! I love the pixel art, and the retro midi music! I did notice that the the straight tracks have to be laid in a certain direction, even though the graphics shows that it is already in place (I hope that makes sense!). Well done on a fantastic game! :D
A nice game, reminds me of Undertale with the music and color palette choice.
I like that the art is cohesive, I also enjoy the music, good game.
By the way if you like that kind of game design, there's another jam coming soon called black and white
Its a very good idea, but I have some problems with the execution, the first thing is that sometimes, the roads seems to be perfect, but the cars still die, so you need to keep rotating with until you find the the correct pose, it would be nice if you had some sort of visual guide to see where the road need to "pointing". I wish you could restart the level. the Mayor seems a nice person to talk to.
Interesting game each level its getting more hard and its satisfiying to build well connected rails and watch trains passing without problem nice work ^^
Cool game with an interesting concept. The music is nice!
Interesting concept, Mayor bones is obviously a favorite. I felt the arrows were sometimes misleading or I was either reading them wrong. Good work!
Good game! It was easy to get into since the mechanics and controls very simple. I think it has a very clear design and a coherent art style. The biggest problem was lack of information. When the cars follows a specific direction you want to have some way to know how to line up the roads. Otherwise it becomes a guessing game, which becomes quite frustrating when you can't restart the level :P There were also some issues with roads lining up weirdly. Sometimes the cars seamed to be able to pass through things that they shouldn't (visually at least) and sometimes there were straight roads that had to be in the correct direction. Overall though, great work!
A really good idea with a decent execution that I assume would have been better had there been more time for the jam. I would have really preferred an option to get the cars to move much faster so I don't just wait there when I already have the path figured out, but that's definitely just in the beginning though cause later level get harder and you do genuinely need more time on those. On some of my playthroughs there was a glitch where the car was crashing on paths that were connected on both ends. I also felt like the dialogue was a bit difficult to read cause of how small the font is. With those 3 things taken care of (especially the car crash glitch) the game will be very engaging especially when the levels get more difficult. I think starting level 6 I already had to slow the cars down to think a bit so ya people who enjoy difficult point and click puzzle games would definitely enjoy this a lot. Good work!
This game is cool, Just have one suggestion after figuring out the pattern of road there are cars still coming to that path may maybe you can start next level after that. Good job!
Love mayor bones, aye
Cool game and I like the dancing trees :D
I really like the idea! Some things that could use improvement; an indicator that blinks or shows where the car is coming from. I think the arrows that show which directions the car will go could turn green after the action is taken and red when it fails (might be easier to track movement). Lastly I think the power creeps up a little too fast I would love to spend more time with the one car! Great work!
