Cool game, good job!

Cool art and animation, also dug the soundtrack. Could've used a bit more explanation of how the elements and game mechanics worked in general. Would've been cool to accumulate more armor as time went on.

Looks and sounds fantastic! Unfortunately I didn't really understand what was going on. A very basic tutorial could go a long way.

Really good-looking game. It's kinda hard to understand when you first start playing, but it gets really fun.

The art is super nice!

Such a nice vibe, super good job

Cool art and music. A little more context would have helped to get into the game. Nice idea ! GG

Did I accidentally stumble into an anime reference or something? I literally just pulled up a Japanese name generator and pasted a bunch of names from it. :P

The art and the screen layout look amazing! The armor pieces look funny for some reason, though. The concept seems creative, but I was really confused on how to play and what effect each die would have, so I got bored pretty quickly.

Great vibe if you like samurais ! :) Good job !

Top notch presentation. I really enjoyed this entry

I love the art and the music. Unfortunately, the game still lacked some strategic depth in my opinion. I've always tried to attack with what the enemy does not defend and have always tried to defend what the opponent is trying to attack. This becomes repetitive real quick. Despite that, i enjoyed my time playing your game. Good job.

I love the art and music! I don't know if I'm missing something, but the gameplay feels relatively simple and doesn't offer tons of opportunity for strategy. Mostly, I would just attack with whatever they weren't defending with, and whether my defense was good was completely up to chance, which just felt kinda formulaic and boring after a while.

A great game! I spent quite a lot of time playing it. The art music and mechanics feel great. My only problem is that it gets a bit repetitive after a while. Other than that an amazing, fun and extremly polished entry :)

Very creative game, very fun, my only problem was that I started to not understand the attacks the farther I got in and ended up doing 0 damage when no elements matched up. Great game though.

Great art and unique mechanics!

This is awesome! The game-play loop is fun, the art is gorgeous!
I'd be cautious about player dice being the same armor and element (for both die), as this takes away any choice. (I only noticed this because I played too much!)
This game stands out for being a very cool cohesive project!

fantastic game and i really like the whole aesthetic of it! my only gripe is the armor sprites look very low res and dont match the rest of the game. still, amazing work!

Submitted

I have to point this out: why do the characters the only sprites in the entire game that have point filters, and the rest not having them? It's makes it really inconsistent. Nice game tho.

If you feel like it you could try my game too!

Easily one of my favourite games of the jam, this game was beautiful and relatively easy to understand but could be played many different ways, there is so much potential in this idea and I think you did it perfectly!
