Amazing stuff. Everything was so tidy and polished. The game was so immersive, I played it and completed it in one sitting. The interaction indicators (visual and audio cues) were spot on. I had massive lag at the end due to so many items being on screen. Simple but yet very very well designed. Amazing artwork, amazing music, amazing gameplay. It's also made by a team containing some of my favorite game dev youtubers. Well done everyone!

Developer

Thank you so much for your heartwarming comment! Means a lot to all of us <3
It does get quite laggy on some weaker pcs. Sadly we weren't able to upload a windows build in time which would've helped. We'll upload one when we're allowed to! :)

Maxed out every stat and defeated the last piñata in 73m! Awesome and addictive gameplay

Developer

Wow nice! Thanks for sticking with it for so long and sharing your experience <3

Help me, please! I can't stop playing! Really fun game! 500 stars for "Enjoyment"!

Developer(+1)

Aww thank you so much! <3

I love how stupid yet fun and addictive this game is! It was really hard for me to put it down. Absolute cinema, what can I say

Developer(+1)

Hahaha thanks! Goal achieved then :D

Pretty fun little tower defense  game, I'm biased since I love tower defense games! The balance of spending between economy or strength is good. My only complaint is that there isn't much more past the final piñata, but it's entirely understandable given the scope of time we all got !

Developer

Hey, thank you very much for your kind comment! Yeah we figured after like an hour of playtime, most people will have enough in a game jam so we designed it with a fixed ending in mind

Very Cozy, but I kinda feel bad for the Piñatas.

Developer(+2)

Thank you very much for playing! It's just what the piñatas were made for, a necessary evil

Such an awesome game!

What I like the most is how it smoothly moves from destroying to managing.
Also, the game scales well and is balanced with how much money I'm making until the end. There is no time when I had too much money or too little money and/or felt stuck.

For a Jam entry, this gets a SSS of excellence.

Thank you so much, Sam! Enjoy the candy :D

Super fun and addictive game, ended up playing way longer than I intended to! Loved the polish and the satisfaction when finally killing the boss!

Developer(+1)

Yay! Happy you enjoyed the game and made it to the end :D
Thanks for playing and all the kind words <3

I spent way too long playing this. Great job!

Developer

Haha we got you hooked :D Thank you very much for playing!

Super fun! I loved all of the juice, especially the bat. I liked how each tower served a different purpose, although the water guns felt a bit underpowered for being the most expensive one. I definitely enjoyed playing it, eventually the OCD kicked in and I ended up maxing out everything. It did get pretty laggy at the end but as is the expectation. The art was super cute and charming and the music was nice. The sfx were juicy but I did have to mute them near the end of my playthrough. Overall, super creative, well done!

Developer

Thank you for playing our game so extensively and sharing your detailed feedback! Interesting point about the water gun. I kept increasing its damage during balancing but I guess I could've gone even further with it, max damage wise. Something to keep in mind for sure!

Submitted(+3)

I was a fun twist on the tower defense genre and felt really polished! I liked the bat swinging, it is very juicy and more fun than just clicking on them to make damage like in other clicker!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for the kind words and trying our game! AIA worked most of the jam on fine tuning the bat and I think it shows! Very early already, it was an important thing to us to get away from the typical rapid-clicking-carpal-tunnel fest that is usually the optimal way to play most idle games.

Lot of smashing and winding up! Took a second to figure out the mechanics, but was fun after that! Still unsure what I was defending, but the upgrades were cool to see

Developer (1 edit)

You were defending the epicness of your party with candy :D

I'm happy you enjoyed the game and the progression :)

Developer

Yeah it's kinda a tower defense game without the defense part lol. We knew even before the jam that we'd want to try making an incremental game. One of us had the idea that he wanted to try making a TD game but I always felt like in an incremental game you shouldn't be at risk of losing (like if you fail to defend the goal). But when we got the theme "loop" it clicked for me and I had the idea that you can't lose if the enemies all just run around in a loop :D
Thanks for playing and sharing your thoughts!

Loved the game, defeated the whale <3.

Developer(+1)

Epic! Thanks for playing all the way to the end <3

Submitted(+2)

a bit slow but I love the vibe! I would love to play this idly on my phone!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Good idea, though I'm sure we'd have to invest even more in optimization to get it to run on a phone smoothly. After a while, there's a LOT going on lol

(1 edit) (+2)

Love this game. I literally played it for an hour - I loved trying to max out all the stats and saving up to buy the whale at the end. Worth playing through. Creative sounds and design. Great job!

Developer

That is so cool! You might be the first one outside of the team to get to the whale.... Whale done!

Submitted(+1)

ooO a fun twist on a tower defense. Mechanically wanting to buy more enemies is an interesting take. I adoreee the piñatas design’s too!! All of the art is so colourful and pretty.

I have to echo someone else’s comment that the game is a slow starter, but it’s definetly a game I’d wanna come back to. The casual vibes are always fun when you’ve got something pretty to look at and listen to.

There’s an insane amount of polish in this game for a jam!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing and leaving such kind words :)
Yeah it's maybe not the best fit if you just want to quickly get through some submissions as finishing can take up to around an hour. But I hope you already had a fun time while you played and will come back for a full session some time.

We're an eight-people team and we all did our best to get it to a state that's as polished and enjoyable as possible so I'm happy that you're recognizing it <3

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the kind words and feedback. Making the piñatas was so much fun!

Submitted(+2)

The looks and mechanics are very solid. A Casual tower defence with melee is something I've never seen before, so very creative I'd say. But for a game jam, it is painfully slow. I just let it run in the background for a bit, buy stuff, and repeat.

Developer

Thanks for giving it a go! Right from the start we set out to make an incremental game and like many of those in the genre, it's built to take a while until you've got things maxed out. It's definitely designed for leaving it on in the background unless you really want to optimize your time & strategy. For an incremental game it is rather on the shorter side though, as it can be finished within less than an hour. There was some debate in our group whether we wanted to lean more towards genre tropes or optimize it for the game jam and I guess this was our compromise.
Thanks again for playing and leaving a comment!

Very enjoyable game. Unique idea, great artwork, maybe just missing more satisfying sounds. And it would a great thing if you could charge the bat with a keyboard key, not just mouse click

Developer

Thank you for playing and sharing your thoughts :)
Glad you found our game enjoyable!
