Just to see what would happened, I tried this strategy:

Buy whatever is cheapest at that moment.

What did it teach me? I'm still trying to figure it out.

I know it placed FAR too much emphasis on weapons. From a very early stage, piñatas were obliterated almost the instant they appeared. I found myself forced to place more and more weapons I didn't need (another hat shooter?) when I should have been investing in the spawn rate. Some piñatas could not even be unlocked until all of the weapons were completely maxed out!

Below is a view just before I finally bought the the whale. Not a piñata in sight.

At 83:22, this is by far my longest game.

So what is the absolute best strategy to speed run this game? The one that future speed runners will someday know they have to use to have a shot at the record? And if you've tried it, what was your time?

I loved that it started just as a train builder and ended up taking us to space. The way that new goal was introduced subtly just through changes in what we could buy was very clever.

Artwork was wonderful, concept was original and fun. However, I could not figure out how to initiate the couch movement. I managed to do it accidentally a few times, even getting to the second level - but for the life of me could not tell you what combination of dragging the arrow icon, pressing E, and pressing the left mouse button achieved this goal.

Love this game. I literally played it for an hour - I loved trying to max out all the stats and saving up to buy the whale at the end. Worth playing through. Creative sounds and design. Great job!

Artwork on the cards and card titles were great. Didn't quite see the theme connection.

Very very impressive that you did this on a graphing calculator! Despite that, you made a game that I wanted to play the whole way through. Nice job.

Surprisingly exciting. It's such a simple geometric game, but I found myself replaying it several times out of enjoyment.

Great level change animation. I would love to learn more about the "split personality" thing that happens in later levels. One challenge: The zoom control on these later levels could only be all the way in or all the way out - impossible to keep it at a zoom level where I could read the graphics to understand what was going on.

Made me curious about funding for particle accelerators! Are you a physicist?

I got to what I think was a portal and couldn't get it to do anything.

I couldn't figure it out. I couldn't get past the little ghost in the first minute of the game.

Very cute. Love the theme, and the music is fun. Wish the ship were able to take a couple dents before breaking down.

I never succeeded in clearing a level, but enjoyed the concept.

Nice song.  Unique controls - no steering required of the player!
