I really really enjoyed this one! A cool, simple idea that's super effective. The music and the graphics are perfect for the game. At first I would've preferred an arrow showing the direction to head towards, but as the game progressed I actually preferred it without one. Managed to get home on my first try! Nice game, well done.

How does your game fit the theme?
The time-dilation effect of gravity is represented through scale. Proof of concept for possible multiplayer application.

Cool concept, and cool style (though I will say the low fuel alert sound is a little aggressive!). It feels a little slow to be able to get to the next neighboring planet, but I understand that's intentional to help with the sense of scale. Well done, I can see potential in developing this one further post-jam!
It was fun and I made it to the end, although I didn't quite grasp the concept of the gravity scale^^
Maybe I missed it, but I think currently there is no way to easily reduce velocity. So instead of reducing thrust, the S-key could add reverse thrust to the ship.
I did not do the best job explaining the gravity scaling, but basically in reality the closer you are to high sources of gravity, the more "time dilation" you experience, which in a sense slows your experience of time compared to places in the universe near less gravity. If you have a watch on earth and a watch in space, the watch on earth will tick slower. This is General Relativity. So while two ships could have the same relative velocity, the one close to a planet is experiencing time at a slower rate. The point of the scaling is to show this effect without technically messing with the time variable, allowing this to work eventually in a multiplayer setting. Honestly having the actual Timer in there messes with the idea a little, but it works for this singleplayer version.
Next step is adding special relativity which is about different velocities affecting time dilation, because technically the faster you go in relation to something else, the quicker the clocks run too.
Pretty fun game! Interesting take on the theme. A bit too easy though lol, especially since you can kinda just chill in the center of a system for infinite fuel (it can go above 1k).
The concept is fun but atm I dont feel like its hard to beat, would be nice if you needed to manage your fuel a bit more and when you get close to orbit from another planet you swing around it of some sorts. I went in a straight line and made the goal with 170 days left. The concept itself is cool tho so curious what you make of it :)
This one's hard to rate because like you said, it really is more a proof of concept than a full scale game. What is there is quite impressive because I'm guessing there was a lot of physics involved in designing the ship movement, and I can definitely see something like this being turned into an interesting game in the future, but unfortunately there just isn't quite enough to it "as is". A multiplayer spaceship shooting game with these kinds of mechanics would probably be pretty interesting though!
Crisp GFX with nice music.
Interesting take on the theme.
As others mentionned, it is true that you don't have to do much to get to your home planet.
Two thrusts in the right direction, then you're home.
It's a nice proof of concept though. With some more love and balancing this could be very fun.
Hey, we both went into outer space! Although you built a bit more control into your game of where to go, mine just has RNG leading the way haha. Great job, nice take on the theme, I enjoyed it.
Neat game, this would be interesting as a multiplayer game, or with enemies/obstacles to deal with while you're travelling between star systems.
Pretty cool game, beat it first try, im a big fan of space so it's right up my alley, nice work!
Fun game! I thought it was too easy, as I just needed to be on pace with the timer. If you can tone the difficulty, it will be a great game!
Wow! A bit conceptually dense but in a super fun way. I love the execution of the concept here! With some visual updates I can see this being a full fledged game. Great job for the jam!
Really good idea, kinda similar to starsector with just different gameplay!
Really cool idea ! I love the gameplay, great job :)
I like the idea, I think being able to map out your route would be nice. It felt like each attempt took so long to do and all you want to do it thrust all the way. Great job for the time constraint though!
Really cool! I like hopping from system to system to refuel. Made it home with 130 days left!
A bit difficult to wrap my head around the concept of the game but what I did understand of it seemed to be quite cool!
