Instead of impersonating a hero and trying to beat a dungeon, you have to create a dungeon that can challenge the hero without killing him, but even making it too easy

Yay for Cantina Band! \o/
I love the presentation. The paper look is really neat, and the UX is also intuitive and fast. I like the idea of planning everything before the big execution of the exam. However the game is tougher than I imagined.^^ Despite several attempts, I could not make the hero beat the final boss! There might be some part of "level-designer" that wants to balance the dungeon progression and varies the enmies, add tougher one, but clearly it doesn't work. Neither does putting only "small" ones. I'm not sure I understand the leaf and binoculars props, the notion of "critical hit" is a bit vague.
I had fun trying though!^^ The game allows to experiment a lot, it's easy to just start again and try something new. Despite not winning, I enjoyed playing it!
Thank you for the review. I din't find time to do all the tests I wanted (working alone on this game), so the stats of the cards and some information are vague and random. As you said, I learnt a lot in this Game Jam despite all the problems along the way. I'm glad you liked my submission!
Nice idea, and well presented. Though I did run into a bug where the last room always displayed as empty, and so I could never click start.
Nice! I love the variety!
Thank you so much!
Very cool idea. It's so polished and I enjoyed it too. Good job.
Took me a while to get it since I'm so lazy to read instructions but really enjoyed it when I did since it involves planning and math. Great job!
Great job, especially for a solo project! It took me a while to get what was going on, but when I did it was a lot of fun! Love the pen and paper art style, like a table-top RPG dungeon master :)
The concept and the style are really neat!
Building the entire dungeon that should challenge the player without killing him wasn't easy, since it requires a lot of anticipation. Maybe being able to see the dragon's stats while designing the rooms, and not only before the process might help a bit.
I really like the way you're in control of everything but it's still really hard to win properly because of the anticipation. Great entry!
Thank you so much! If you look at the top right corner of the screen you can see the stats of the hero and the final boss. I know, I should have made them more visible. I'm glad you liked the game!
Ah I see, it's my bad, I didn't even notice! Thanks for telling me!
A nice concept and fine game
Did need a few tried to get the hang of it but was pretty fun along the way
It took me a while to figure out actually but once I did, I went "Huh!". lol
Great idea and great execution!
I know, I was running out of time when I did the tutorial, but I'm glad you like it!
Really liked the art and music! Dope idea for a card game.
Too nice, thank you!
It's a great game with lots of cool ideas around the "you build the level" approach I think it would be better to have the choice of putting between 1 and 3 cards per room and not all 3 all the time.
An interesting suggestion, I will surely try this one!
Wow, this is absolutely brilliant! It took me a while to get the tuning right (turns out I'm evil) but once I did it's so addictive to see what you can build for the hero. I can totally see this as a board game.
This took me some time to get into (maybe a longer tutorial next time) but once you do ITS AWESOME!
It took me ages to figure out thinking surely an entire dungeon creator couldn't have been done but it has!
Paired with the music, the slight attacking sounds and the bell
I've sent this to a few friends to play!
nice job :D
Thank you for the shout-out! I would like to play your submission, but I'm a Mac user :(
Ahhh damn :( I'm sorry!
I can't compile for Mac without a Mac :(
This was pretty fun once I got the hang of it. I think the tutorial could be a bit more descriptive because I was a bit confused at the start, but after a couple of times playing I understood it. It's a shame there was that bug, but it didn't interfere with the actual game so it isn't the end of the world. It was a bit easy if you wanted it to be like I just spammed skeletons and easily won, but I probably would've gotten a bad grade because of it. Overall great job!
